"I'm looking for my father." Yoh felt chill despite the summer breeze because of those words. Those amber eyes and golden hair reminds him of "that person". That person who managed to make him excited, happy, overwhelmed, and in pain without even trying. That person has a little minion and now is asking for his father. He was stunned. Five minutes had passed and Yoh has never said a word. He doesn't know what to say or where to begin that conversation. He was about to say a word when the boy casually said, "your not my father. Don't sweat about it. I would just like to ask for your help to find my father. I'm Hanna by the way. Hanna Kyoyama."
Yoh blinked once and offered the door to hanna to enter his house. He puts the orange drink in the table while hanna is looking over the pictures in their living room.
"Your family is pretty."
"Thanks. So, who are you again and why are you here? I mean how old are you? Where are you from? How do you know where I live? I suppose your mom is..."
"Anna. Anna Kyouyama. She doesn't know I'm here. We live in London but I know Japanese because she required me to speak so when we are together. I came with my mother's friend here in Japan to look for my father. I am ten. I have only 1 month."
"Okay that's a lot of information. For a 10 year-old kid your pretty bold."
"Well I am her son."
"Guess you're right about that," you replied chuckling. "Anyway, how did you find me. And how come your mom doesn't know about this?"
"You won't be charged with kidnapping don't worry."
"So straight forward. Just like your mom eh?" Yoh smiled as if remembering the old good days. Her in her sharp tongue saying honest words that makes any person question facts about themselves, fear her, and follow her. But for him, those exact reasons gave him peace. Those honest words...honest, sincere, strong, beautiful. Everything about her is beautiful and painful because he would never be hers and she would never be his.
"Are you still with me? Your seemed to be thinking from afar."
Yoh just smiled in response and ruffled his hair.
"Hey, stop that!" Hanna pouted and gave him a deathly glare just like his mom. It fascinated yoh and laughed more of hanna's reaction.
"So who are you with? Why don't you walk me on this so I could understand."
Hanna sat on the chair and picked the orange on the table, rolled it and peeled it. After eating a whole orange, he drank the orange juice as if he lacks vitamin c and needed a lot of it.
Yoh looked at him curiously. "How sure are you that I'm not your father?"
"Well, I asked my mom about it."
Yoh was shocked with it.
"Well ok I'll tell you all about it. My mom is going to get married."
Yoh blinked. Again. And again. But didn't say a word.
"I like him for her. She's happy and I'm happy that she's happy. But I don't want him to be my dad. I want my real dad.
I want to know who he is but my mom keeps lying about it. I know she does. That is why I held matters in my hand."
"Ok", was the only response you had with this fast pacing information that bothered him and made him happy. Bothered that Anna is getting married and happy that her son doesn't totally want the guy whoever he is. It's crazy. He was married. Who the hell he is to think that Anna should not get married. Ok that went beyond his thinking.
"You seem lost. Are you always like that? Seem to be always in cloud nine?"
Yoh laughed hard.
Hanna in response showed him a picture. A group picture of him in the center and the rest of the old gang: Manta, Tamao, Ren, Horohoro, Lyserg, Chocolove, Pilika, Ryu, Hao, and beside him is Anna. He felt bitter about it. Hao and Anna. If he only knew that they wouldn't last long, he could've fought for her. But he didn't. And she ran away.
Then Hanna placed his pointer to someone in the picture. "I think it's him. I think that guy is my father."
"Hao?"
"Yeap.
