Soooo after years of reading, I thought I'd use all this extra home time to attempt my own! I've toyed with the idea of uploading this for ages - so please be kind! :) I will apologise in advance, I pretty much stopped watching after Kimberly left (Tomberly fan here) and so my knowledge on what comes after is small, so sorry if there are some errors! I will try and watch/read up what should be correct. Anyway, here goes nothing...

Speeding past the 'Welcome to Angel Grove' Kimberly slightly relaxed her grip on the steering wheel. She had been travelling for nearly 13 hours since her last pit stop, and that wasn't anything significant. Kimberly was going through an mixture of emotions: grief, fear, exhaustion. But driving through that boundary brought a sense of nostalgia. Kimberly checked her rear view mirror. Nothing. She knew he would send them to come looking for her. She just hoped she left herself enough of a window to do what she came to do, and then she could disappear.

Kimberly adjusted the radio to tune in to Angel FM and was surprised to hear a familiar voice on the air,

"Goooood evening Angel Grove, it's just turned 5 so you know it's time for the Bulky and Skull Drive Time session. Kicking off your journeys home tonight is a classic from a few years back." The iconic lines of 'Boom, Boom, Boom' opened the song as The Outhere Brother's anthem played across the waves. Kimberly found herself relaxing even more after listening to Bulk and Skull, and then remembering the numerous amount of times that Jason and Zack had put on their own performance to this song whenever it came on. Trini and Kimberly, and sometimes Billy and Tommy, if they were lucky to not be roped in, would roll on the floor laughing at the silly dance moves they would do. Kimberly let out a laugh which very quickly turned to a welp. Tears falling down her face, she pulled over on to the shoulder, checking her rear view once again to make sure no-one was following.

Kimberly was shaking and crying, finally letting out the tears that had been threatening to fall ever since she had heard the news. They say that there's a fine line between laughter and sadness, and Kimberly had fallen victim to it. Kimberly had her moment while the rest of the song played. She needed this time. There was nothing worse than batting back tears, knowing that they would fall at the next given opportunity - which usually wasn't the most ideal time. Wiping her face with the sleeve of her sweater, Kimberly checked herself over in the mirror. Her face was red and blotchy to which she sighed. There wasn't much Kimberly could do about that now. She certainly wasn't going to sit on the side of the road waiting for her face to calm down. Checking the road, Kimberly pulled out on to the road and completed the short and final part of her journey, driving down all the familiar roads of her childhood.

Kimberly slowed down as she pulled in to the final road. It had been the road she had grown up on, where she had shared happy memories with her parents, when they were still together, and her friends. How had her life gone so down hill from these happier times. Kimberly couldn't look at her childhood home as she drove past it, instead focusing on the house three doors up. She turned the engine off on the car and breathed out. Her hands were still holding on to the steering wheel playing everything that had happened since she left here last in her mind. She hadn't seen Jason since they went scuba diving a few years back. Out of the corner of her eye she saw movement and looked towards the house she had parked in front of. Jason stood there, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed smiling. Kimberly smiled back at him and new she would have to get out now.

Jason walked down the steps of his parents home as Kimberly walked round to the boot of her car. Kimberly trying to keep herself busy and head down by collecting her belongings, Jason knew what she was doing, this was a classic Kim move. He always admired her for her ignorance in that she thought no-one knew when she was trying to avoid something. He gently put a hand on to hers as she went to grab another bag. Kimberly looked up, those tears from before brimming the corners of her eyes. She managed a weak smile up at him, Jason squeezing her hand in a reassuring and comforting way. That was all Kim needed to break down again as the tears cascaded down her already tear stained cheeks.

Jason engulfed Kim in to a tight, big brotherly hug. At first he felt her resist but as Jason persisted to hug her he eventually felt her relax in his arms, and then moved her arms so they wrapped round his waist.

"I know Kim, I know." Jason said in a whisper as he let a tear escape from himself. He bit his lip as he fought back the tears. Now was not the time for Jason. He needed to be there for Kimberly. Had she lost weight? She certainly felt like she had since he had last hugged her. It was hard to tell as she wore a big sweater.

"Come on, let's get you inside. I'l come and get those in a bit," Jason said as he closed the boot to Kimberly's car. Jason ushered Kimberly into the house with an arm wrapped warmly round her shoulders.

"Take a seat, I'l grab us a drink"

Kimberly settled herself in to the arm chair in the corner of the room. Jason soon appeared with a couple of glasses of water. Kimberly would have preferred something stiffer but couldn't admit that to Jason.

"I can't believe he's actually gone Jase. He taught us so much. Without him we would never have been the family that we were. Zordon... he was... he was more than a father to me than my own father. I should have stayed around, I didn't even get to say how grateful I was for him"

"Are, Kim. We ARE a family. Just because you haven't been in touch as much, we're all still here for you." Jason said. Kimberly winced at that subtle dig. If only they knew. Sometimes she wished she could tell them everything that happened to her since she left for Florida. But she knew they wouldn't be able to look at her in the same way if she did. It was better they didn't know, and for them to just think that she had outgrown them. "I know it's not the same, but that's why it was important for us to get together over this weekend. So we can all say our final thanks and give him the send off that he deserved." Kimberly nodded at that.

Kimberly and Jason sat there for the next hour catching up, well more Jason filling Kimberly in on what she had missed with her former Ranger friends. Kimberly was keeping her Florida life tightly too her. It was nearing to 7pm and Jason had said that Aisha and Trini were going to pop over for some dinner to catch up. Kimberly had tried to put off seeing them straight away but Jason insisted that this would be the best way to get the awkwardness out the way.

Jason had tried to keep in touch with Kimberly after she sent the infamous letter to Tommy. He had rang, emailed, heck even sent a letter. He got nothing in response other than a letter stating that it was too much for Kimberly to keep in touch with home life and that it was distracting her from achieving in gymnastics. Jason had thought it was odd, considering they had been friends for the longest, but respected her wishes. He was now feeling apprehensive over the authenticity of that letter and that he should have travelled down to see how Kimberly was doing. She was here now though, and Jason would do everything in his power to keep her here and make things right again.

Kimberly had gotten up to make herself and Jason a refill when there was a knock at the door. Kimberly froze at the sink at the noise and dropped the glass making a loud crash noise. Jason came in asking if everything was okay but Kimberly couldn't hear him. She was too in her own thoughts on whether her time had run out. It wasn't until Jason touched her arm to get her attention Kimberly whipped her head round, her pupils dilated full of fear. The door knocked again and Kimberly could hear the muffled shouts of Aisha and Trini telling Jason to hurry up and open the door as the take out was getting cold. Kimberly visibly relaxed at hearing their voices. She felt like an idiot, getting spooked at such a little thing.

"I'm such a clutz some times," Kimberly feebly laughed as she began clearing the glass up. "Better go let them in or they'l knock that door down". Jason looked at Kim wanting to ask more, something was definitely up and he was going to get to the bottom of it. He walked away to the door shouting, "I'm coming, I'm coming. Hold your horses" whilst making a mental note to check in on Kim later. Kimberly let out a big breath as Jason walked away, holding on to the cold sink as she composed herself. Kimberly wrapped the remainder of the glass in to an old newspaper as the girls walked in to the kitchen, arms filled with take out goodies.

"You guys could help me put this stuff down so I can give Kimmy over here a big hug," Aisha demanded, Jason smiled as he helped move the boxes out of Aisha full arms. Trini just behind her. As soon as the boxes were on the table Aisha made a bee line for Kimberly and wrapped her arms round her old room mate. Kimberly returned the hug, and was soon surrounded as Trini came in from behind and made the hug three-way. Jason laughed to himself, somethings never changed. Everything was going to be ok between these guys.

As the girls released themselves from their hugs, they made the small talk of asking Kimberly how her journey up here was. Jason took this as his moment to let them talk, "I'l just go grab your stuff Kim whilst you guys get re-aquatinted," and left them to their reunion.

Jason walked out to Kimberly's car that was parked on the street and noticed a man in a hood stepping away from the drivers side which was on the road side.

"Hey!" Jason exclaimed thinking the guy was trying to steal the bags in her car. The hooded man scarpered and got in to a car that squealed up the street as it drove away. Jason walked round to the drivers side to check for any potential damage and saw that something had been sprayed on to the side of Kim's car.

YOU CAN'T RUN AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO HIDE

Jason stepped back and looked back up the road to see if the car was still there but it was long gone. What had Kim got herself in to?
