Love The Way You Lie
.The Allstar Majestic Clash.
With the party hosts seal of approval on her shoulders, Pearl was prepared to give this match her all. Not only was she determined to wipe the floor with her rival who clearly was under estimating her abilities as a blader, but she was ready to display her talent to the other professionals.
'I can't lose to this hot head, Kai wouldn't allow it, and neither should I. Wait, why do I even care? Urgh, I need to stop this.'
Before Enrique could jump in to announce the countdown, Johnny studied his opponent to notice that her mind was beginning to wonder and this was another potential weakness in which Johnny was prepared to drive at.
"What's the matter? Got Kai on the brain?" Johnny grinned like a smug Cheshire cat as he pulled back on his rip chord to shoot his blade across the garden. "You should be focusing on me, and not him!"
"I think it's borderline impossible to ignore him right now." Ray muttered under his breath with a sweat drop forming in the corner of his forehead. "Jeez."
Tickled by the comment, those around Ray sniggered quietly amongst themselves. But those amused giggles soon faded into gob-smacked gasps when they witnessed Pearl's retaliation to Johnny's dangerous launch.
Her pupils widened and her natural instincts kicked in – Pearl dodged the blade and then rushed in towards Johnny. The rest of the world around her had faded away, and the only object in her sight was the cheating devil himself, Johnny.
"And you call yourself a beyblader?!" Pearl growled lividly. "You should be ashamed of yourself!"
Johnny braced himself, but nothing could prepare him for the back hand that Pearl was about to dish him. It stunned him because nobody had dared to play his own game against him.
"Pearl!" Shrieked Hilary, "I know the guy deserved that, but there is no need for violence!"
"Ah, if she didn't do it, I know someone who probably would have." Michael nudged Eddie and sniggered, "Honestly, those Europeans are so up themselves. They need bringing back down to Earth."
Eddie nodded and supported his best friend, "I know right. Johnny has just proven it right there with his attitude. He thinks above the rules-"
"And are you prepared to back that threat up?" Interrupted a voice from the back of the crowds. It was Robert. "Because I can arrange everything within a simple phone call."
"Wow, I never knew that Tyson could throw such exciting parties." A tipsy and twinkle eyed Ming-Ming spoke aloud. "I will never miss another again."
A heavy sigh cooed from Kenny's throat, "Why does nothing ever remain peaceful around here?"
Kenny shifted over to Max and asked him if he could persuade The Allstarz to back down. But Max simply was too interested in the drama, after all, he wasn't the angel that everyone had portayed him to be in recent events.
"Stop them? Are you kidding me? I want to see this match." The blond American explained, "It's such a good PR line too to bring people in."
"I cannot believe you just said that." Kenny sipped his lemonade with a defeated expression on his face, "Fine. I give up."
"Bring it on then Robert. The All Starz will never back down from a challenge." Rick stuck up his thumb and smirked confidently. "You name the time and place, and we'll be there."
'All this over Johnny and Pearl's temper tantrums? Honestly.' Oliver sighed to himself and stood beside his captains decision.
"I really do disagree with this and if I had my way, this wouldn't be going ahead. But I refuse to just stand here and let you slander my team name in such a foul manner. The Majestics will take you down and once you're down, you should learn to tame those egos of yours."
"Ah, we'll tame our egos on the same day that you do." Michael retorted, "Which is never. Besides, your trash talk is lame, we aren't in the Charles Dickinson era anymore guys."
"Then it's settled." Robert confirmed, "I will have a member of my staff inform your manager about the match details."
"Bring it on!" Emily cheered, "Judy and I shall get to work immediately."
"Guys-" Johnny was no longer interested in the hit he'd just taken. He raised his hand up into the air to catch a hold of his blade, he then turned to face his teammates. "What the hell was that!?"
Pearl on the other-hand took a step back to recuperate her composure. She too didn't really know how to react, instead, she just strolled through the crowd to pick up another drink.
'Oh, this isn't over Johnny. I'm sure we'll collide again on another day.' She thought and sipped the cold drink to relax her tensed muscles. She gazed her eyes down to her hand to noticed that it was warm and swollen. 'Mind you, that Johnny guy took such a smack from me. I bet that will leave such a mark on his face for a while.'
As Pearl sat out the front to enjoy her drink in peace, she caught a glimpse of the All Starz and The Majestics leaving the party, they all parted ways in their own forms of private transport. Luckily, none of them had spotted her, and this awkwardly pleased her.
'I can't believe I caused most of that. Oh well, it's just like what Max said earlier: it will make such a good headline in the sport. I can't wait to watch them battle each other either.'
However, just when Pearl thought she was safe to relax in the shadows with her drink, another figure arrived to the party late. The sheer sight of this man was enough to make Pearl choke on her drink.
"KAI!" Tyson rushed over to his captain who had just walked through the door. "Dude! I didn't think you were coming!"
"KAI!" Max followed Tyson and beamed. "It's such a shame that you were late. You have just missed such an entertaining scrap-"
"Huh?" Kai almost raised an eyebrow. He was curious to know what happened. "Did anyone get hurt?"
"Oh no, we are all fine." Tyson replied, "But Johnny took a smack from Pearl. Then somehow, the All Starz and Majestics are ready to tare eachother apart in match. Robert is setting it all up as we speak."
Before Kai could hear anymore of his rivals irritating voice, he switched his head over to look at Ray.
"Don't look at me like that." Ray shrugged, "You should have came here on time to witness everything."
"What, happened?" Kai fired back, "Where is Pearl?"
"Er, Kai." Hilary appeared from behind him with a nervous smile on her face, "Would you like a drink?"
"We seriously don't need anymore fights around here." Lee waved his hand to brush off the stale atmosphere. "But my money is on The Majestics for the win-"
"Lee!" Mariah was dying to laugh, "You can't pick a side."
"Pft, I feel like we have missed out on that one." Bryan said to his captain, Tala. "Oh well, people can't say we were the trouble makers this time."
"Huh?" Tyson winked, "If you want a battle, we'll give you one."
"Don't tempt the Bryan, Tyson." Tala finished. "But name the time and place and we'll be there for you any day."
"Aw shucks." Blushed Tyson, "I would do the same for you too buddy."
"Yea, even BEGA didn't get involved either." Ming-Ming cooed. "We are branded the trouble makers, remember?"
"Ming-Ming. No." Garland huffed. "Lets go, it's getting late."
