Writer's Note:

Ok, let me get something straight right now. I have been a big Godzilla fan ever since I was 5-6 years old. After watching an episode of Outer Limits, I wanted to see an old science fiction film, so it was my family's idea to watch King of the Monsters which was actually the Americanized 1956 version of the 1954 classic Godzilla.

Ever since that day, I watched all the Godzilla films and I am hooked. By hooked, I mean I am a fan. Of course as time went on, I would learn of many scrapped projects and abandoned ideas. One even got my attention; The concept of Godzila fighting the ghost of his 1954 counterpart; The original Godzilla.

Back in the 1990s, after having the big G fight a space clone of himself, Toho was planning on doing one more film for a while before letting the Americans try their own take on Godzilla.

While we got Godzilla vs Destoroyah, there were actually some different drafts and ideas, some of which would have been interesting. From day one, Toho wanted their (for the time being) final Godzilla film to have a connection to the 1954 move.

The original idea for the movie that would later become Gotzilla vs Destoroyah was that Gotzilla would fight the Ghost of the 1954 Gotzilla and basically get annihilated, but in the end (due to the fact that a few of the Big G's foes in the Heisei era were counterparts of him) the Ghost Godzilla project was scrapped. Since then, the Godzilla vs Ghost Godzilla project had been lost. Until now…

In 2013, on paper, I wrote a story inspired by not just the lost project but by someone else on the internet. The story? Gotzilla vs Ghost Gotzilla. Set 5 years after the events of Gotzilla 2000, the ghost of the original 54 Godzilla rises from his grave to wreck havok again. Since I switched from paper to typing stories, which does help me write, I have decided to redo the story and make it different.

I am well aware that lost projects and ideas can one day be revived, the idea of Daleks vs Cybermen from Classic Doctor Who was revived in series 2 of Modern Doctor Who. Sonic X-treme kinda got revived through Sonic Lost World but was different.

Now, with no more delays, its time to get on with this story.

I hope you enjoy it.

KA BOOM! The monster known as Regenerator G1 or Orga, exploded as Godzilla unleashed his destructive, radioactive power, even while he was still head-first in the monster's mouth. The explosion was huge, it sent fireballs everywhere and devestated the whole block.

When the explosion cleared, Godzilla stood there, unscratched, his dorsal plates glowed with energy, as he stared at what remained of the giant alien monstrosity as it crumbled to the ground into dust.

"SKREEEEEE-OOOOOORRRNGK!" Godzilla roared triumphantly, "SKREEEOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNK!" Taking care of unfinished buisness, the monster advanced on the nearby building and destroyed a portion of the roof which a man named Katagiri stood on. The man's last words before oblivion were, "GODZILLAAAAAA!"

With that taken care of, the enormous monster marched off. Rampaging through Tokyo, reducing buildings to rubble while setting fire to many blocks with his nuclear breath...

Silent crowds watched as Japanese SDF tanks, marching bands and troops paraded through the streets of Tokyo, it had been 5 years since Godzilla's confrontation with the evil aliens.

Not only that, but reconstruction of the city had just finished after 5 years of hard work and so many delays due to the time it took for the Americans to ship certain building materials overseas from concrete to steel and metal and parts needed for construction machines.

News reporters from all over were on the scene to report the festivities, American, British reporters, Chinese, domestic Japanese and all kinds of foreign reporters were attending the commemorations and reporting on it.

Many were interviewing Japanese citizens and government officials including the Prime Minister himself; Koshi Kamatakura.

But our main reporter focus is none other than an American named Alice Foxingtarn.

"Its hard to believe that time flies." Alice spoke into the camera in her news mike, "Five years ago, aliens attacked Japan only to be beaten by the King of the Monsters titled Godzilla. Now years later, having not been attacked by Kaiju and in spite of minor delays, Tokyo has been rebuilt and Japan is booming again as if nothing happened."

She was in her best news reporting outfit which was a flowing kilt, dark pants, gray jacket and a white sunshirt. Her hair was tied back and decent looking as brown sunglasses covered her pale green eyes, Alice's skin was smooth and perfect.

She looked nice even at age 37 years old and she'd been reporting ever since she was 31½; Nearly six long years of reporting for the ANP. When she hit 41, it would have been 10 years of being a reporter.

Next to Alice, stood Prime Minister Koshi himself in his suit and red tie with gray hair and an elderly face that had a small burn scar on his cheek due to him being a survivor of the August 6-9, 1945 nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki when he was young.

Koshi was well prepared for handling the mainstream media and, right now, Alice was about to interview him. "With me now is current Japanese Prime Minister Koshi Kamatakura," She announced before holding up the mike to him, "Mr. Prime Minister, what do you wish to say?"

Koshi's accent when he spoke in English was fluid and perfect, "Well Ms. Foxingtarn. Having just rebuilt our capital city, my biggest hope is it will be a long, loooong time before a giant monster like Godzilla attacks us again. Our defense force is capable of defending our nation to its last breath.

"Funny how the fight feels very recent five years later just as the events of World War II felt recent 50 years ago, even as the first Godzilla surfaced and laid waste to our capital before being destroyed by the Oxygen Destroyer thanks to Doctor Serizawa.

"As the reporters might have covered already, I gave an important speech earlier about how hard we worked our behinds off to rebuild our city and from 2000 to 2005 this nation has made incredible advancements in the field of science, and technology. The economy boomg and relations between our country, the USA and many others is stronger than ever.

"I recently gave a speech about the dangers of nuclear weapons and why its important to avoid having a repeat of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As a survivor of the bombings, I feel it is necessary to take precautions when it comes to nuclear weaponry.

"Let us not forget that the nuclear age came with the age of giant monsters such as Godzilla and who knows how many other Kaiju. Now, if you excuse me, its time to return to the parade."

"Thank you, Prime Minister." Alice shook his hand and turned back to the camera just as Koshi got off the figurative stage to rejoin his cabinet in watching the millitary parade, "A survivor of two nuclear bombings as prime minister with an anti-nuclear stance, how very interesting. Of course we all want to avoid nuclear catastrophies, we're lucky we evaded that during the Cold War with the Soviet Union."

Missile launchers lead by millitary police entered the parade, the marching bands kept playing the national anthem and the marching band songs as the parade continued onward. Little did everyone know was that the past would return to haunt Japan soon...
