Prologue 2: Through Blood and Radiation
To any other person on a Saturday, they would be lounging around and do nothing for the weekend like Yang but not Ruby, she's well…
"Son of a bitch," She whispered yelled as she shakes her hand and blows on it before going back to working with the electronics, to any person it would just look like some kind of watch but in reality, it was what she likes to call the Pip-Watch
Ruby just rubbed her eyes to stave off the sleepiness she was feeling as she worked on the watch version of the famous wrist-mounted computer but she heard the door to her room open, she quickly turned her head to see Qrow
"Hey kid," He rasped as he walked in, taking notice of his niece's little pet project
"Oh. hey Uncle Qrow," She replied not looking away from her Pip-Watch, tiredness apparent in her voice, he pulled a chair up and sat next to her
"Interesting tech, how long are you gonna work on it until you pass out," He mused, she stopped and stretches
"Har, har, how long is it gonna be until alcohol poisoning bites you," She deadpanned, she moved to a laptop and ran some diagnostics on the watch before she looked over to Qrow
"Hey, that's a low blow," He replied as he took a look in his flask before taking a drink before sighing in relief and wipes his mouth, and finishes his reply "And you know it,"
"That's why I did it," She shot back with a small smirk but quickly asked "Why are you here, I thought you had some work at Signal or whatever,"
"Well work gets done quicker when I'm mostly sober," He joked as he took a seat right next to Ruby and looked over and asked "What's this, I thought you were working on your weapons for Signal"
"I am but I'm doing this as a side project to help me with some things," She replied as she gets electrocuted again and whispers a few profanities to herself "Can you grab that toolbox ?" She pointed over to where it is, Qrow nodded and handed her the equipment
She thanked her uncle which he said, "I'm serious Ruby, you should get some sleep, tomorrow is the beginning of weapon forging," Qrow then left his room, she sighed as she knew her uncle was right so she did although she knew she wasn't going to get a lot tonight
The cool wind flowed throughout the wasteland with little going on in what is a rare peaceful night, the sound of footsteps could be heard alongside heavy breaths as Ruby ran as fast as she could, sweating before getting into an office and slams it shut, she checked her ammunition and saw she had at best 50 rounds left for her plasma rifle
"Dammit," She whispered as she stopped herself from groaning in pain as she was badly hurt, blood slowly dripping from her leg as she blocked the door and propped herself up on a corroded chair, she looked at the door and kept quiet as she heard very heavy steps outside the door, she held the rifle up and readied to fire if the door broke open
"Spread out through the building, she can't have gotten far," She heard a modulated voice bark orders and heard more footsteps, Ruby then got up from the chair slowly and looked around the room before pushing the desk over as cover and once she was in cover as she was ready to fight the tin can fucks descended from a crew of traitors, she heard the door in front of her rustle open before it stopped
'C'mon you Brotherhood bastards, I'm ready,' She thought as she turned the safety off her laser rifle and readied a plasma grenade as a last resort, she heard the footsteps along with some sounds she can't quite make out but didn't have a good feeling about what it is, Ruby gritted her teeth and stayed behind cover, then the door was blown open and some debris hit the turned over desk
"Kill the Enclave scum boys !" A Brotherhood Paladin was shot from laser rifles fired into the room as Ruby quickly threw the plasma grenade and quickly got back behind cover, the shooting stopped for a moment as the plasma grenade exploded and she grits her teeth as she felt it get close to her and she quickly popped up and started shooting without mercy, not long after she ran out of ammunition and quickly grabbed her combat knife then quickly sprinted to the remaining
"Glory to the Enclave, down with the traitors !" She roared at the top of her lungs and plunged the knife deep into one of the skulls into the BOS members as blood spewed out and splashed her officer uniform and parts of her face and cap, she quickly turned on her feet with what could only be described as near animalistic snarl on her face, this shook even the Knights and Paladin to their very core as the blood only added to her terrifying presence
"Retreat !" The Paladin ordered as the remaining Brotherhood soldiers quickly ran with the tail between their legs as Ruby quickly reloaded her plasma rifle and chased after them, firing her rifle she continued to scream as she was able to hit a few enemies even killing a few of the retreating men, once they ran out of the building, she could barely speak as her throat hurt from her screaming, she looked over to the once beautiful white dome of the Capitol Building, she then closed the door to the office building and blocks it as she screamed a little in pain as the adrenaline was wearing off, as she returned to the office she held up in she looted the dead BOS soldiers, finding some medical supplies alongside some goodies such as laser rifles, laser pistols, a whole set of combat armor, and of course the cherry on top known as power armor
"I need to skip town, get away before I get a dirt nap," Ruby said to herself as she patched herself up with a doctor's bag, after she finished patching up she grabbed a map she was able to snatch back at Adam's, she cleared a table and looks over it "Where to go, where to go," She quickly muttered before her finger hovered over a pre-war area, she exclaimed, "There we go !" She quickly grabbed a pencil and X'd out the area, she would get ready but she needed sleep badly so with a loud yawn, and a sleeping bag set down Ruby quickly went to sleep as over the X'd out area the city name was still visible, 'Boston'

Yes I'm going to change up some things relating to Fallout 4, I was thinking of going the way the original game goes but thought it was way too boring
