-Meanwhile, that exact same time-
On a distant jungle island in the Pacific with not much civilization there, west of Japan and just miles from Odo Island, a nuclear plant glowed with energy as armed soldiers stood guard, waiting for something to happen. Eventually, it happened, a giant emerged.
Scaily and bulky with green skin, 50 meters tall with a crocodile-like head and a mouth lined with teeth including big purple maple leaf-like dorsal plates, the modern Godzilla moved towards the power plant.
"Grrrrrrrrrr-hrrr-mwrawk!" Godzilla 2000 bellowed, the humans guarding the plant left the area, making way for the king of the monsters to feed off the radiation without casualties.
Up above in a helecopter, G-Net was watching. But it wasn't the Godzilla Prediction Network from back when the aliens invaded. Io and her family had retired and GPN had become more than Japanese, it was global and now run by Americans.
Meet Ben Johnston and his kids known as Tim and Kaite, they voluntered to run the Godzilla Prediction Network on behalf of the United States.
The U.N was involved in taking care of situations involving Kaiju as they were the ones who helped make the nuclear plant on the island possible while helping the G.N become more than Japanese and still be designed to monitor the activities of giant monsters like Godzilla.
In the few years since Godzilla began to live in the area of the island, the island itself became known as Godzilla Island. Monsterland or Monster Island were considered for a while until naming the island after the giant monster was decided, the island was big enough to hold the nuclear plant and an observation facility; Forests existed on the island as well as caves.
A man at age 28, Ben, with brown hair and blue eyes, a sturdy build and wearing boots, jeans and a white-gray shirt, had become interested in politics after a brief tenure as a teacher in the study of political aspects.
Now, he'd proven to be a very good pappa to blonde and gray eyed 10 year old Tim as well as Tim's brunette and blue eyed sister Katie. Ben was well skilled at computers and so was Tim, since Ben was helping him and Tim was learning but Katie would soon learn.
The technologically advanced Godzilla energy reader computer blinked and made noises like PING PING PONG PONG, like a Sub, as well as beep-beep boop-boop!
The Japanese government's idea of using a manmade nuclear plant on Godzilla Island had worked well the past many years, Godzilla was not attacking Japanese cities in order to get to the refineries; This gave Japan time to rebuild all its cities including Tokyo which was devestated during Godzilla's fight with Orga.
"Whats the Big G's energy reading at, kids?" Ben asked, hoping the giant Kaiju was not going to become overpowered with enough radiation to go on a crazy rampage.
"Godzilla's energy readings have incresed by 50% in the green." Tim said, "Not over 1500, otherwise this guy would become some living manifestation of a nuclear bomb."
That was when the computer went nuts, showing an energy spike.
"What?" Ben looked over Tim's shoulder, "That's weird. How is Godzilla's energy going overboard?"
Katie shook her head, "I dunno if that's the case, I think its somewhere else. Is there a Kaiju map on this computer?"
The scanner zoomed out and showed a map of the Pacific ocean and Asia, showing every island. "Oh." The kids said in unison, a red dot blipped over one small island in particular...
"Odo Island?" Tim gasped, "Isn't that…? Where the first Godzilla appeared 50 years ago, the one that attacked Tokyo and was vanquished by Dr Serizawa's Oxygen Destroyer?"
Ben looked surprised too, fear washing over, "Yes. But something's wrong. Our Godzilla is here, having just fed off some radioactivity and is going into a cave," Ben was watching the giant green lizard advance towards one of the mountains where a cave waited, "Could it be a new monster similar to our Big G or just another Godzilla?"
"This demands some investigation." Katie suggested, "Why don't we go fly over to Odo Island and find out for ourselves." Tim high fived his sister, "I like your thinking, sis." Ben nodded, ignoring a shiver he was getting just thinking about something monstrous, "I agree." He turned to the pilot, Brodrick. "Brodrick, set course for Odo. Hopefully there is no oil shortages here." Brodrick, a blonde man, looked at Ben, "Actually, we're fine for now. Oil consumption is in the clear zone."

"Ah, good. Very good."
In the shadows of an unknown facility/laboratory (I.E the floating mystery battleship) a mysterious mad scientist watched TV Radar/Computer screen as Ghost Godzilla towered over Odo Island and frightened many people before the scene blipped to a map showing the creature's path, detailing that it would eventually make landfall in Japan.
The madman cackled in English, "Within 90 hours, everything will be in perfect fruition. The world will know my brilliance, Tokyo will be laid waste to, the modern Godzilla will be humiliated, then with Ghost Godzillasaur decimating the major cities, I shall carry out phase two of my ultimate plan to make the world will know my brilliance, they will regret having mocked my brilliance."
Unbeknownst to the scientist, he was being watched by the ghostly outline of another scientist, one with an eyepatch who'd been gone for years. The ghost observed the villain quietly before fading away into the shadows...
