Landing on Odo Island in the aftermath of what seemed to be a storm, Ben and his kids took in the night air and the smell of burned trees and the sea.

The island looked like every other Pacific island, tropical and populated, Ben and Tim made sure Kate brought along a portable version of the G-scanner machine in case there were energy spikes.

Entering the village, they listened to the chatter of the villagers and learned that, during the hurricane, something showed up. The Johnstons decided to see what info they could get, the elders were probably asleep so why not ask the two twins near a closed shop.

Walking up, Ben called, "Hey!"

Yoshe and Koshe looked up from cleaning their rifles to see the man and his kids in front of them. "Oh, hey." Yoshe's accent was smooth, "Didn't notice you, my brother and I were cleaning rifles after huntin'."

"Did you happen to encounter something strange during the storm since you were out hunting?" Tim asked.

Yoshe nodded, "Certainly. While we were on the hill, hunting deer, we heard a roar. We decided to investigate and, upon doing so, we saw a huge phantom."

Now we're gettin' somewhere. Ben thought, "What did it look like?"

Koshe stammered, "W-Well. The creature looked like a mutant dinosaur with burned skin, a big head with a fanged mouth and had these dorsal plates."

"What did its roar sound like?"

"It sounded monstrous, demonic and very creepy. Nothing like to the roar of the new Godzilla who surfaced 5 years ago as we heard tell."

Ben and his kids looked at each other, definitely the source of the energy spike they detected earlier. Before they could investigate more, there was a camera click and a flash like someone taking a picture.

That was followed by an all-too familiar female voice Ben knew so well, "Well, well. Investigating the anomalies, are we?" Ben and the kids turned to come face to face with none other than Alice Foxingtarn.

"Mamma!" Tim and Katie exclaimed happily, running up to warmly embrace her. That's right, Alice was the kid's mum, making her and Ben their parents. How did Alice have these kids and how did Ben become a pappa to them?

Well, Tim and Katie were Alice's kids from an accident that Alice experienced during a prior relationship with a man named Mike.

Mike later got shot by street thugs in Kansas just a week after Alice found out she was carrying twins, much to her horror as she was frightened by the idea of raising offspring all by herself.

Upon meeting Ben and after their relationship began, Ben offered to help her with the kids much to Alice's delight. Since then, the two of them had got along well.

Ben and Alice lived together when they weren't too busy. They lived in Japan after living in the United States, Tim and Alice liked being in America whenever they visited due to being born in Japan since Ben and Alice were living there.

"Alice, what are you doing here?" Ben asked, he hadn't expected to bump into her right now.

Alice smirked, "Same as you and the kids, dear. Ghost anomalies. Remember, part of the Godzilla Network?" She pulled out an ID card from her pocket, it was blue and white which showed her credentials.

"I was at GPN HQ near our house after doing some reporting when the computer went nuts and said there was something Godzilla-ish at Odo Island so I took a helicopter and got here before you guys did during the storm." She got out a handheld gadget similar to the one Ben and the kids had.

The handheld GPN tracker gadgets looked like GameBoy Advance systems, except they were gray with dark buttons and the screen showed energy readings emnating from different spots of the globe wherever and whenever giant monsters with energy spikes were appearing to cause total mayhem.

"Riiiiiiiiiiight." Ben said sarcastically.

Alice smiled with contemplation, "Unfortunately, after I landed, nearing the end of the storm, when the helicopter took off, something fired off a blue heat ray and destroyed it. "So looks like I get a ride with you when we leave."

She shrugged and put the card and gadget away.

"Uh, hullo." Yoshe chimmed in, "What's going on here?" Koshe spoke too, "I thought you guys were asking us questions about the ghost monster who appeared during a storm."

Tim turned to look at the twins, "We were, you gave us a good description of our buddy who's probably out there somewhere in the ocean, contemplating on where to go next."

Alice looked at her watch and Ben did the same, "Its late, how about we go to our house in downtown Tokyo and get some rest for later tommorow?"

"Good thinking, huh." Ben yawned, "Its 12 in the morning and we've been up all night worried about monsters and our own jobs. Alright, first to say bye to everyone in the village and then we get in the chopper…"
