Prologue

The Skull

Duel Monsters. Once started as a normal card game, until it became incorporated into everything and thanks to invention of the Solid Vision Program the games popularity sprung up until it became a way of living. Now there are schools to help people become Pro-duelist and Entrainment duels so that you can fight alongside your monster. Due to the games popularity many adventures have accrued because of this game, this is one of them.

It was dark, there barely any light at all expect a faint blue light shining in the center of the room, also in the room was a young 16 year boy with black hair with two strands of colored hair in front of his face, one red the other silver and hazelnut colored eyes. He's name was Jason Hall he was kind of like your average high schooler with some good grades. He was very free spirited fellow and was very emotional, but when he duels that was whole other story, nothing made him more excited than a duel and he dreams of becoming a pro-duelist one day. Right now Jason was very confused, last he remembered he was sleeping in his room next thing he was in this strange room he then saw the blue light in the room. Walking toward it he saw a blue flaming skull in the shape of a heart. Jason then began to reach toward the skull until…

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP

Suddenly Jason's eyes shot open as he feel out of his bed as he woke up from his dream.

"Man what a weird dream" Jason said rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "All well can't worry about it now, better get to school" Jason said as he got ready for school.

You see Jason lived in Fantasy City, the city was well known for its many myths and legends surround it not to mention all the strange energy's throughout the city as well. It was a strange city filled with ghost hunters and paranormal researchers as well as duelists of all ages. Jason wasn't bothered by it very much, after all he was just a high school student it not like he need to save the world or anything…or does he.

School was incredible boring today, he had test in math which he did pretty well with, science and History were long and drawn out and language was just stupid. After school he started to ride home on his bike but one thing kept popping up in his head.

"You know, I've been having that exact same dream for the last few weeks, what could it mean" Jason thought trying to piece together what that dream meant.

As he rode he then looked up at the night sky and couldn't help smile at the beautiful stars hanging in the sky but as he looked he then saw what looked like a meteor flying through the air.

"Wow, you don't see those very often "Jason said looking up at the meteor.

Although all of the sudden the meteor started to change course…and was heading START FOR HIM! Seeing this Jason peddled his bike as fast as possible trying to escape the danger until the meteor crashed into the ground, creating an impact so hard it caused, Jason to lose balance and fall off his bike.

Getting up with a groan Jason then looked over at the crash site to see a large crater.

"Whoa, man I'm I lucky to be alive" Jason said, suddenly curiosity took over as he inspected the crate so he could he see the meteor, only to find something completely unexpected.

"A card? What's card doing a crater?" Jason said, he then jumped down into the crater so he could get a better look. Once he was in the center of the crater he then bent down and picked up the card and found it to be in good condition.

"How does a duel monster's card fall from the sky?" Jason thought but before he could take a closer look at the card he then felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Um excuse me can you help me" a female voice said behind him

As Jason turned around he then saw he face to face with a small female ghost, she wore a tan button up shirt, short skirt and had long black hair.

"Hi there, I'm Filia" the ghost named Filia said

At first Jason didn't say anything; actually he didn't say anything all he did was stare at the strange ghost until he fainted.
