Skull Girl Rises, Split End Warrior
"Uh, my head" Jason said as his eyes opened slowly, "Man, what a weird dream, I dreamt I saw a small little ghost girl flying in my face" Jason said
"Ahem" a female voice said
Hearing this Jason then looked up and right there in his face was the exact same ghost, with her button up shirt and black hair, she also seemed to be a chibi of some kind. As Jason looked at the little ghost he couldn't help but scream and jump away from the tiny ghost in fear.
"Ahh, what are you?!" Jason said backing away, this caused the little ghost to be nervous thinking she did something wrong.
"Hey calm down, calm down. I'm not going to hurt you" the ghost said in a panicked tone
"Speak for yourself" a another voice said but this one was deeper and was male
"Samson! Be nice" the girl said as if she was talking to someone
As Jason saw all this, his fears of this being an evil spirit or something were dashed away seeing that she was not hurting him in anyway. Jason then got up from the ground, catching this small girls attention.
"Sorry about screaming at you" Jason said rubbing his head in embarrassment, seeing this small girl then smiled
"It's no problem, I did give you a scare" the girl replied
"Thanks, it's not every day you see a small ghost the size of your hand" Jason said with a chuckle but this only confused the little girl.
"Ghost? What ghost?" the little girl asked
"um, you are" Jason said pointing at her, the little girl then looked down at herself to see what he was talking about and to her shock, she saw that she was a ghost and not to mention she was no smaller than an action figure. Seeing this the little girl's eyes went wide at this and …
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH".
On the other side of the city in dark and old cemetery, one of the gravestones in this cemetery started to shake and groan as the ground before it started to crack open and out climbed a glowing blue skeleton, wearing what looked like broken knights armor on its body. As it climbed out of its grave, the skeleton then looked ahead, sensing the energy of another, the one he need to capture. So with one last pull he then pulled himself out of his grave and stood up on his two feet. He then jumped high into the air as he flew over the buildings of the city, as he flew toward the source of energy he needed to capture for his master…The Skull Girl.
After a few hours of screaming the little ghost stopped at last as she took a long breath, Jason then uncovered his ears realizing that the small girl was done.
"You okay?" Jason asked
"Yeah I'm okay" the little girl said
"Speak for yourself, I almost went deaf" that male voice said again in a annoyed tone
Jason heard this but just shrugged it off as nothing.
"So, now that you got that out your system how about we introduce ourselves" Jason said
"Oh right I never told you my name. Ahem, anyway my names Filia" Filia said
"Nice to meet you I'm Jason, Jason Hall," Jason said
"It's nice to meet you" Filia said with smile
"Ahem, what about me?!" that male voice said again
"Okay, who's saying that?" Jason asked looking around for anyone else.
"Oh right, he's right here actually" Filia said as she turned around, when she said Jason was shocked to find a face on the back of Filia's head, with yellow eyes and mouth of sharp teeth.
"What the? Who…what are you?" Jason asked the creature
"Well if you must know the names Samson and I'm Filia's parasite" Samson said surprising him
"Well, that's something" Jason said with shock evident in his voice
"Anyway since introductions are out of the way you mind pointing us to nearest Skull Girl Defense Force" Filia asked which made Jason more confused
"Skull – what now" Jason asked scratching his head in confusion, which shocked both Samson and Filia.
"You now the Skull Girl, the most dangers being to ever live, any of this ringing a bell" Samson asked, which made Jason more confused about this.
"Sorry, nothing is coming to mind" Jason said, hearing this both Filia and Samson looked downcast at this.
"Great, just great, how we going to stop the Skull Girl now" Samson said
"I don't know Samson and considering our size I don't think we'll be much of a challenge to her" Filia said, hearing all this Jason couldn't help but feel a little sad, seeing that he couldn't help.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you two" Jason said, then Filia then looked up at Jason and couldn't help but perk up a bit.
"Thank you for your concern, but you have nothing to be sorry for, to be honest I kind of figured you wouldn't know anything about what we're talking about" Filia said
"Speaking of which where did you two exactly come from any way? Jason asked
"Oh well, you see, we come from a place New Meridian and amazing city filled with most interesting of people" Filia said
"Wow sounds cool" Jason said
"Yeah, I guess, If you get past the Medici Mafia that is" Samson added shocking Jason
"A Mafia?! Wow, I would say that's cool but something tells me it's not very much" Jason
"That's one of putting it" Samson said
"Well, now what? What are we going to do now?" Filia said scrunching up her face thinking
"How about you surrender" a voice said sounding ghastly and old
Hearing this Jason and Filia both turned toward the direction of the voice and to their shock, what they saw almost looked impossible. Standing right there in front of them was glowing blue skeleton wearing what looks like broken rusty knight's armor.
"WHAT THE HEY?! WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Jason shouted pointing at the skeleton
"Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Skull Knight one of many loyal servants to the Skull Girl" Skull Knight said
"So, the Skull Girl has already begun to raise her undead army" Samson said in low and menacing voice
"It seems so Samson, but doesn't mean we'll go down without a fight" Filia said with a determined look on her face, Jason just gave her a doubting look her way.
"Um, Filia you do know your only like 4 inches tall right?" Jason said but he's words fell on deaf ears as Filia suddenly charged at Skull Knight and started attacking the undead minion with punches and kicks also Samson helped as well by creating drills and claws from her hair, but no matter how many attacks they hit the Skull Knight with it did nothing to hurt him. Growing bored of Filia's "attacks" the undead minion merely flicked her away sending her crashing to the ground.
"Filia!" Jason shouted concerned for his new friend, just as Skull Knight walked toward the little Chibi girl and tried to grab her only to its surprise a small blue bubble appeared around Filia protecting her from the Skull Knight.
"What?! Why can't I capture you?!" Skull Knight said until it noticed a similar glow surrounding Jason as well.
"Oh, now I see you have bonded with a duelist, which means the only way to capture you now is to defeat you" the Skull Knight said pointing at Jason
"What! No fight me, Jason is just an innocent bystander, leave him alone!" Filia shouted at the Skull Knight but he just ignored her.
Then Skull Knight thrust out his arm, then the bones on his arms morphed and changed into a round circular device on it's arm made of bones and had five card slots on the board, Filia did not know what this device was, but Jason recognized it instantly. Just then a smile came on Jason's face as scared demeanor faded away.
"Oh now see, well if it's duel you want, THEN ITS DUEL YOU'RE GOING TO GET!" Jason shouted as he then throws his D-tablet into the air as it extended out and landed perfectly on his arm, and then the tablet extended out formed a circular plate with five slots as well.
"What the? Since when did you get all brave?" Samson said surprised by Jason's change in demeanor
"Are you kidding me, I never back down from duel" Jason said with excitement
"I don't understand, why are you excited to fight a monster" Filia said not understanding the reasoning behind this
"You'll see" Jason said as took his deck and placed it in his deck holder as well as the Skull Knight.
"DUEL!" they both said drawing there five cards and the duel was on.
Skull Knight: 4000
Jason: 4000
"What a minute, is this…a card game?!" Filia shouted in surprise
"Are you telling me, you're going to fight this undead beast…with a children's card game?!" Samson said in shock
"Yep, Duel Monster is pretty much a way of life around here" Jason said with a smile but Samson was not amused.
"That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard!" Samson shouted in annoyance
"Trust me after this, you'll think otherwise" Jason assured
"Doubt it" both Filia and Samson said
"If you're done talking I'll be taking the first move and first I summon Infernalqueen Archfiend" Skull Knight said summoning a fiend like creature wearing a purple clock around it's self as well as pair of tan bat wings.
Infernalqueen Archfiend Atk: 900 Def: 1500
"AHHH! What is that thing!?" Filia shouted as the monster appeared
"Relax will you" Jason said
"Relax?! That thing just summoned a monster right there how can you expect me to be calm!" Filia shouted
"Because it's just a hologram" Jason said making Filia blush in embarrassment
"Oh" Filia said
Jason then shook his head and cracked a smile at Filia's reaction, but then turned his attention to the duel.
"Now I'm going to be level here, you sure you want to play that card, because if I remember, to keep that monster on the field you need to pay 500 life points during each of your standby phases" Jason said
"Life points?" Filia asked confused
"Right, you see life points are kind of like health in this game and first person to reach zero loses" Jason explained
"If that's right, then playing that card is a pretty dumb move" Samson said with a smirk, and then Skull Knight then chuckled at this catching both of their attention.
"As if I let a simply ability like that will affect me, because now I activate the Field Spell Pandemonium" Skull Knight said playing a card suddenly the whole area then started to change until became a crypt of sorts with bone like structures and skulls hanging from the ceiling.
"Geez, talk about a change of scenery" Samson said
"You can say that again Samson" Filia said
"Thanks to this field spell now I don't have to pay life points to keep my Archfiends on the field" Skull knight said
"Well that's just great" Jason said with a grimace
"Now I end my turn with a face down "Skull Knight said as another card appeared on his field only this one was face down.
"Then it's my turn, I draw" Jason said drawing his card, "I now summon Gogogo Golem" Jason said
Then appearing on the field was a large rock creature with a round body and a single red eye, he and appeared to be made of green bricks and his arms were made of blue metal.
Gogogo Golem Atk: 1800 Def: 1500
"Wow, he's kind of cool looking" Filia said looking at giant rock creature in awe
"I guess, but really, Gogogo, that's best name they could come up with" Samson said
"HEY! Don't hate on my monsters" Jason said but focused on the duel, "Now Gogogo Golem attack Infernalqueen Archfiend" Jason commanded as the Golem launched its self forward.
"I activate the trap No Entry, now all monsters on your side of field switch to defense mode" Skull knight said as his face down card flipped up to show a purple card with a picture of two security guards guarding a jail cell.
Gogogo Golem then stopped its charge as it crossed its arms and the blue parts of its body turned red.
"Darn, walked into that one, I set two cards facedown and end my turn" Jason said as two face downs appeared
"Well that didn't do anything" Samson said
"Hey lay off me man" Jason said getting annoyed of Samson's comments
"He's right, leave him alone Samson" Filia said scolding him
"If your done talking, I'll be taking my turn now, draw" Skull Knight said gaining everyone's attention, "And now, during my stand by phase I can now give my Infernalqueen an extra 1000 attack points until end of this turn" the Skull knight as the queen powered it's self-up.
Infernalqueen Archfiend Atk: 900 + 1000 = 1900
"Now I summon Terrorking Archfiend" he said
Then a large red muscled fiend appeared on its field wielding a gnarly sword and bat wings as well.
Terrorking Archfiend Atk: 2000 Def: 1500
"Oh boy" Jason said
"Now Terrorking Archfiend attack Gogogo Golem, Locust Storm Barrage" Skull Knight Commanded as he's fiend's chest suddenly bust open as a swarm of fiendish insects flew out him toward Jason's monster.
"I don't think, Gogogo Golem's ability now activates, since he's in defense mode he can't be destroyed by battle one per turn" Jason said as the locust bounced of Gogogo Golem. After the attack was done Filia then looked in horror at what she just saw.
"That…was so gross" Filia said trying her best not to puke
"For once I agree kid" Samson said equally disgusted
"Grr, fine our Golem may have survived that attack but it won't survive this one, Infernalqueen Archfiend attack his Golem, Dreadful Screech" Skull knight commanded as his queen let out a ear piercing screech at the Golem causing it to be destroyed.
"Now I end my turn with a facedown" Skull knight said placing his card
Infernalqueen Archfiend Atk: 1900 – 1000 = 900
"Alright then, my go, I draw" Jason said drawing his card.
"What do we do now that monster is too strong for us" Filia said staring at horrible fiends
"Don't worry Filia, I got this" Jason said picking a card from his hand, "I summon, Gagaga Magician" Jason said
Then a magician appeared on Jason's field, sporting a darkish metal clothing as well as face mask and floating chains around him.
Gagaga Magician Atk: 1500 Def: 1000
"Really? Gagaga?" Samson said
"Hey I don't name the cards" Jason said as he continued his play, "now I equip Gagaga Magician with the spell Bound Wand" Jason said as he played his card.
Then a white wand with a red gem and engraving of a skull on it appeared as Gagaga Magaican took hold of it.
"Thanks to this, Gagaga Magician now gains attack equal to level times 100" Jason explained
Gagaga Magician: Atk: 1500 + 400 = 1900
"That's not enough to destroy my Terrorking" Skull King said mocking him
"Not yet he's not, I know activate Gagaga Magician's ability, once per turn I can change his level between one and eight until the end of the turn and I choose level eight meaning he gains another 400 attack points" Jason said as his magician powered up.
Gagaga Magician LV: 8 Atk: 1900 + 400 = 2300
"Now Gagaga Magician, attack Terrorking Archfiend" Jason commanded, then Gagaga Magician flew toward the fiend and blasted it with a red energy red beam from the wand destroying it.
Skull Knight: 4000-300=3700
"All right first point goes to us" Filia said
"Maybe, but you haven't seen the last of my Terrorking, and by discarding Desrook Archfiend from my hand he raises again" Skull knight said as he's archfiend appeared again with a roar.
"Oh come on, we just got rid of that thing!" Samson shouted
"Yeah, and now its back, so much for that plan, I end my turn" Jason said as Gagaga Magician lost time its boost.
Gagaga Magician LV: 4 Atk: 2300 – 400 = 1900
"Now it my turn, I draw and just like before during my standby phase my Infernalqueen now can give 1000 Attack points to one of my archfiends and this time I'm giving it to my Terrorking" Skull Knight said as Terrorking powered up.
Terrorking Archfiend Atk: 2000 + 3000
"And now Terrorking Archfiend attack Gagaga Magician, Locust Swarm Barrage" Skull Knight Commanded as his fiend let loose another swarm of bugs.
"Not this time, I activate the trap Half Unbreak" Jason said as one of his face downs flipped up to reveal card with a picture of multiply bubbles coming out, "Now Gagaga Magician isn't destroyed this turn and I only take half the damage" Jason just as bubble formed around his magician causing the bugs to bounce off but the shockwave of the blast hit Jason sending him skidding him across the ground.
Jason: 4000 – 550 = 3450
'What was that, that attack felt so real' Jason thought as he pulled himself up
"Humph, that move may have saved you this turn but next time you won't be so luck, I end my turn" Skull Knight said
Terrorking Archfiend Atk: 3000 – 1000 = 2000
"Alright my turn, I draw" Jason said looking at his new card.
"Are you okay, you look like you got hurt after that last attack" Filia asked concerned
"I'm fine" Jason replied to assure Filia, "Alright now I activate the spell Pot of Greed so I can draw two more cards" Jason said playing his card and drew his cards.
"I hate to say it kid but were in a pretty tough situation right now" Samson said currently not liking there odds.
"Don't worry, this time, I got a plan" Jason said with a reassuring smile, but Samson just gave him a doubtful look.
"You sure?" Filia asked hoping that Jason was right
"You bet" Jason said giving her a thumbs up, "alright, now I activate the spell Gagagabolt" Jason said playing his new card which depicted Gagaga Magician on a mountain with lighting flashing around him.
"Since I control a Gagaga monster I can now destroy any face up card on the field and I choose…your Pandemonium card" Jason said as lightning bolt shot out of the card struck the field around them causing the field to crumple and vanish putting them in the street again.
"WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Skull Knight shouted furiously
"Oh now I see, without the Pandemonium card he has start paying for his monsters now meaning he will start losing life points quicker" Filia said with smile on her face
"Not bad kid" Samson said with a bit smirk
"Thanks, now I activate Gagaga Magician's ability and make him level eight" Jason said once again making it stronger
Gagaga Magician LV:8 Atk: 1900 + 400 = 2300
"Now Gagaga Magician attacks Infernalqueen Archfiend" Jason commanded just as Gagaga Magician sent out a beam of red at the female fiend destroying her.
Skull Knight: 3700 – 1400 = 2300
"And with that I end my turn" Jason said
Gagaga Magician LV: 4 Atk: 2300 – 400 = 1900
"Foolish human, you will be pay for that, I draw" Skull Knight said
"Yeah, and don't forget without your field spell you have to start paying up your life points" Jason said
"About time" Filia said
"Maybe, but of course so do you" Skull knight said with a smirk
"Come again?" Jason said confused by this
"Now I activate the trap Battle Scared now you have to pay the same amount I do" Skull knight said activating his trap which depicted Terrorking scratching a warrior's face.
"Wait what?!" Jason said shocked until he felt a stinging sensation in his chest when suddenly a dark smoke started to pour out where his heart is as well as Skull Knight.
Skull Knight 2300 – 800 = 1500
Jason: 3450 – 800 = 2650
"Jason! Are you okay?!" Filia shouted seeing Jason hurt
"I'm okay Filia, it was nothing" Jason said breathing heavily
"You won't be for long, because I know tribute my Terrorking Archfiend so I can summon Skull Archfiend of Lightning" Skull Knight said as his new monster which looked like Summoned Skull only with its bone's a bit tanner.
Skull Archfiend of Lightning: Atk: 2500 Def: 1200
"You think a Summoned Skull rip-off is going to scare me" Jason said with a smirk
"No, but this will, Skull Archfiend attack Gagaga Magician" Skull Knight commanded as the fiend let lose a blast of lightning at Jason's Magician.
"I activate the trap Gagagashield, now Gagaga Magician can't be destroyed in battle twice per turn" Jason said playing his trap creating a barrier around his Magician.
"But you still take the damage" Skull Knight said just as fiend lightning hit the magician casing the sparks to jump off and hit Jason.
Jason: 2650 – 600 = 2050
"Ahhh!" Jason shouted as the lighting struck him.
"And with that I end my turn; best give up now human if you wish to avoid any more pain" Skull Knight said
Seeing the state of the game Filia and Samson were a bit scared, Filia more so, seeing that odds were not in their favor.
"I hate to say it but he may be right" Filia said
"You may be right kid, I don't think we can win this thing" Samson said with a downcast look, fearing for the worst.
It was then quiet for some time until all of sudden Jason started to chuckle a little surprising everyone here
"Sorry about that, just couldn't help myself" Jason said lifting up his head up to show he was actually smiling
"Jason? How are you smiling even though things are so dreary?" Filia asked trying to figure out Jason's behavior.
"It because of one thing, even though I may be losing now, doesn't mean I'm not having a blast right now" Jason simply said confusing Filia more
"I don't understand?" Filia said
"Yeah I know it sounds weird but believe me when I say this, you see the more fun I have in a duel…" Jason said he then lifted up his head to reveal not just a smile but also in his eyes was the look of determination.
"THE MORE I WANT TO FIGHT FOR WHAT'S RIGHT!" Jason said surprising Filia and Samson, and has Filia looked at Jason's smiling face she couldn't help but feel comforted, making her feel at ease and not only that gave her the will to fight.
"I see, so behind all that childlike behavior, is a person willing to help those in need, huh, you're a weird kid Jason" Samson said as smile spread on his face
"Yeah I know" Jason replied with a smile as he turned his attention on Skull Knight.
"Alright then you bonehead, it's my turn, I DRAW" Jason said drawing his new card and when he looked at it, he was shocked to see it was the card from the crater; he then turned back to Filia with look of determination.
"Hey Filia, want to help me win this thing?" Jason asked confusing her but decided to go with it.
"Of course" Filia said ready to fight
"Alright then, let do this" Jason said turn his attention to the duel.
(Play : Firewall theme)
"Now then, since I control a level four monster on my field I can now special summon ... Skull Spirit: Filia from my hand" Jason said playing a duel monster card with a picture of Filia in her chibi form.
Oh, now I get it" Filia said realizing what Jason meant when he asked her before, then without a second thought Filia flew over to his field as she stood alongside his Magician.
Skull Spirit: Filia Atk: 500 Def: 500
"And now since she was summoned by her own ability, her level now goes up to level four" Jason said
Skull Spirit: Filia LV: 1 – 4
"Okay now what?" Filia asked
"Now this! I overlay level four Gagaga Magician and Level four Skull Spirit – Filia" Jason announced just as Filia and Gagaga Magician turned into purple energy and flew into the sky just as swirling Galaxy Portal appeared.
"Woah! What's happening?!" Filia shouted from within her purple energy form, she then flew down toward the Galaxy portal.
"Heroic Warrior with a pure heart, come forth to stand up against all evil, XYZ SUMMON, Come forth Skull Girl Warrior: Filia" Jason shouted as the portal explode out ward and out the portal stood Filia but this time much taller and no longer looking like a chibi, she then adjusted one your shirt sleeves and moved head around releasing some stress from her neck as Samson wiped out a bunch a black tendrils and surrounded Filia.
Skull Girl Warrior: Filia Atk: 2500 Def:2000
Once the summoning was over Filia then looked herself over to see that she was back to her normal size.
"Samson look! Were back to normal!" Filia shouted with excitement
"You bet we are kid, now let's end this thing" Samson shouted with a smirk of excitement
(pause:Music)
"Right then, let's do this Samson, you too Jason" Filia said but got nothing but silence, "um Jason?" Filia said wondering what was going one, she then turned around to look at him only to find him having a blank stare and seemed to be in a daze.
"Um Jason, are you okay?" Filia said but received no answer
"HEY KID, WAKE UP!" Samson shouted at Jason snapping out of his daze with a shake of his head.
"What the…what just happened?" Jason asked confused about what happened
"You tell us, you look like you fainted on your feet" Samson said
"Oh, sorry about that, I was just surprised to see Filia as very attractive women" Jason which made Filia blush a little at this.
"Oh…um…thank you" Filia replied not expecting this until she remembered what they were doing, "Jason, thanks for the complement but we have a duel to win" Filia reminded him making Jason remember as well.
"Oh right, okay then let's do this thing" Jason said focusing back on the duel
(Resume Music)
"As if you can win, you may have summoned Filia's true form, but her attack points are the same as my Archfiend so even if she attacks they will both be destroyed" Skull Knight said with a cocky smirk
"That's what you think" Jason said making the skeleton lose his smirk, "Now Filia attack Archfiend Skull of Lighting" Jason said shocking both Filia and Samson.
"Are sure?" Filia asked wondering what Jason was planning
"Don't worry we got this" Jason said with a confident smile causing Filia to smile and look at the Archfiend with a determined look.
"Alright then, let's go Samson!" Filia said and started to run toward the fiend
"At this moment I activate Filia's ability, when she battles a monster she can use one Overlay Unit and by doing this Filia now gains attack points equal to half of your monsters attack points" Jason said just as a purple orb then flew into Filia's chest as she felt herself getting stronger.
Skull Girl Warrior: Filia Atk: 2500 + 1250 = 3750
"Even with that power boost that's not enough to beat me" Skull knight said
"No but this will since, Skull Spirit: Filia was detached from a "Skull Girl" Xyz monster her special ability activates, now one monster on your field loses 300 attack points equal to it'slevel" Jason said just a bunch a black tendrils appeared underneath the fiend as was about to grab him until they stopped until a dice made of bones appeared.
"Not yet, now my archfiends ability activates, when he's targeted by an ability I roll a dice and if lands on a one, three or six that effect is negated" Skull Knight said
"So it comes down to a game of chance, humph, well then let's roll that dice" Jason said just as the dice was tossed as it bounced on the ground. Everyone was tensed as they watched the dice rolled until it started to slow down and with one final bounce the dice finally landed…on a two.
"WHAT, NO" Skull Knight shouted in fear seeing his plan fail.
"Sorry bonehead but it's just not in the cards for you, and now Spirit Filia's ability goes through" Jason said as the black tendrils grabbed the fiend as they drained it of its attack.
Skull Archfiend of Lighting Atk: 2500 -1800 = 700
"Filia, if you please?" Jason said
"With pleasure" Filia said running toward the fiend, it then started to blast lightning at her but she just dodged it left and right until she was close enough to the fiend.
"Let do this Samson" Filia said
"On it Kid" Samson replied
Filia then jumped of the ground into the air suddenly Samson grew longer and bigger and spikes appeared on Filia's hair she then tucked herself up into a ball as her air covered her until she became a spiky ball.
"TAKE THIS, HAIRBALL!" Samson shouted as they struck the fiend with their attack destroying the fiend in an explosion of power sending Skull knight flying dropping his life points to zero.
Skull Knight: 1500 – 3050 = 0.
