Chapter 17- Waiting, Training And Dates?

Roxanne stood outside the entrance to the Gryffindor common room. She and Fred had promised to spend at least an hour together each week as part of getting to know each other again. He was late. She wouldn't complain though, it had been his idea and Roxanne thought it so sweet she almost cried. Almost.
She looked down the corridor staring off into space and jumped when a voice to her left spoke to her. Rox looked across to the other side of the common room entrance at the girl leaning against the wall there, her stance mirrored Rox's own, both girls leaning against the wall in boredom. Waiting.
"So, who are you waiting for?"
Rox studied the girl who had spoken, she was only a few inches taller than Rox but her legs seemed to go on for years. Her dark brown hair fell just past her shoulders in small waves. She had a heart shaped face with defined cheekbones, long eyelashes and dark brown eyes. Her nose was slightly upturned but somehow it suited her. Roxanne thought she recognised her but couldn't place her. She was definitely older by a couple of years at least. She wondered why the girl had asked her but she answered all the same.
"Fred Weasley"
The girl laughed, "I take it he's late?"
"Yeah, as usual. Who are you waiting for then?"
"Albus Potter. It's tough dating the boys in that brood isn't it?"
"I'm sorry?"
"It's hard being Al's girlfriend, from what I know of Fred, I assume he's the same"
"Oh, no no no" Rox laughed, "I'm Fred's sister, not his girlfriend. I'm Roxanne, Roxanne Weasley"
"Oh Merlin, sorry. I just assumed. I didn't realise there were any Weasley's not in Gryffindor..." she laughed awkwardly, "sorry I didn't mean... "
Rox smiled, "Don't worry. I'm the only one, used to it now"
The girl relaxed when she realised Roxanne hadn't been offended. "I'm Violet by the way. Violet Parkinson" she held out her hand, which Roxanne shook without hesitation.
"Nice to meet you, Violet" ~

When Albus stepped out of the portrait door, he had to look down twice. His girlfriend and cousin sat with their backs against the wall chatting like they'd known each other for ages. As far as he was aware, Vi had never met Rox. He had managed to successfully keep her from most of his family actually. He didn't want his Uncle or Aunts comments about dating a Parkinson, his Uncle Ron in particular.
He stood there for a few seconds as Vi finished her sentence.
"Oh, hey babe. You're late. Did you know that?" she said looking up at him.
"Um yeah sorry. I was going through some DADA with Lucy"
She rolled her eyes smiling at him lovingly, "You softie. You just can't say no to people can you?"
"I can!" He protested as he pulled her up.
"Sure you can" Vi kissed his cheek then turned and offered her hand to Roxanne, pulling her to stand with them.
"Hey Rox"
"Hey Albus"
"You need me for something?" His girlfriend raised her eyebrows slightly in a look at Rox that screamed 'seriously?'.
Rox had to stop herself from laughing at Violet's expression.
She answered her cousin. "Oh, no it's okay. I'm waiting for Fred. Though, I've got a DADA essay due next Thursday that I'm struggling wi-"
"You want help now?" He offered before she could finish, again she had to surpress laughter at Violet's expression.
"Um, no it's fine Al, I'll come back tomorrow, when you're erm… Free. If that's okay?"
The other girl smiled and mouthed thanks to her.
"Sure, tomorrow's fine. Library, twelve?" He responded, oblivious to his cousin and girlfriend's further interaction.
"Perfect. Thanks Albus"
"No problem Rox"
"See you later"
"See ya!" he called as he was dragged off by his girlfriend, who also waved goodbye.~

Their 'compulsory' hour had passed quickly, they had been out on their brooms, testing Rox's new one out. They raced a few times, each race ending with her winning by a fraction of a second with minimal effort. She had finally let him test it out, but as they didn't have the same wand wood or core, he admitted, it felt no different than any other Firebolt. On those races, he beat her- the seconds favouring him instead.
Now, they relaxed on the stands. Messy hair, brooms by their side in Quidditch jerseys. Roxanne wore her new harpies one and Fred wore his last season orange cannons one. Lying along the bench, scalps touching, basking in the rare sun there was no doubt they were siblings. They were a matching pair. Even the way they lay was the same; head back, one leg bent upwards, hands resting on their abdomens, eyes closed.

Neither of them wanted to leave or move so Fred spoke from his position, not even opening his eyes.
"So how are the OWLs going?"
"Not bad actually. I'm coping for the most part, and when I'm not there are tutors in sixth to help me. How are the NEWTs?"
"I'm glad. And they're decent I guess. I mean, they're tricky but I'm not exactly aiming for O's so I don't mind so much"
"Why not? I thought you wanted to be an Auror?" Roxanne half sat and turned to look at her brother. He didn't move, only the quirk of an eyebrow was his response. She lay back down and he continued when he felt her head reconnect with his.
"It's not realistic. I realised I don't have the grades to do it. So I'll just do Quidditch or something"
"Fred... you've wanted to be an Auror since you came here!" He could feel her head shift slightly as she spoke with more passion but she didn't sit up again.
"Yeah but plans change Roxy. I'm not cut out for it"
She ignored his comment, "Do you still want to do it?"
"Sort of. But I mean, I don't think I can. So what's the point?"
"I think you'd make an amazing Auror."
"Thanks, bu-"
"Just try Freddie. Don't give up, not if you still want it, please?" she couldn't see but he smiled at that, he had missed having her around, sometimes he needed someone who had faith in him, especially when he didn't have it in himself.
"Alright. I'll try. For you"
"Not for me you idiot, try for you"
They both grinned and she could feel him bump his head against hers a bit. She bumped him back and ended up hurting herself in the process.
"Ow" she winced, sitting up to rub her head.
He sat up too, shifting closer and ruffled her hair, "Now who's the idiot?"
"Still you" she replied, leaning forwards and kissing her brother's cheek.~

Roxanne filled the remainder of her afternoon, and early evening with all her work, minus the DADA essay she had been struggling with. She gave it another look over and still couldn't decide what the best simple spell was to use to incapacitate an opponent. In true Ravenclaw fashion, she had charted the benefits and drawbacks of each spell she knew and could find out about, managing to narrow the options down to four, but she couldn't decide between them. Roxanne supposed she could just ask Scorpius but if she was honest, she wanted to ask Albus. If Freddie was making an effort for her, she supposed being around the rest of her family a little more wouldn't hurt.~

After dinner Rox, Ly, Lorcan and Liv sat around in their usual spot. Rox was sitting in an oversized armchair with her legs over one arm and head resting against the other. Another, identical armchair was next to hers with Liv in, in a similar position. Lorc and Ly each lounged on the same sofa, legs spread along it, meeting the middle- the girls had gotten the best seats before they had arrived. Scorpius walked in after the group had been there for half an hour. He hadn't been around at dinner and after waiting in the Hall for a while they had decided to leave without him. He walked into the centre of their little circle and stood over the boys expectantly, waiting for one of them to move over. Ly raised an eyebrow, "You're late, no space left"
He looked around the common room and most other chairs were occupied by other people. He sighed and sat on the floor, back resting against the boys' sofa.
"Well where were you?" Liv asked as he was now facing the girls.
Ly leaned forwards and ruffled his hair, "Bet'cha our Scorpie found another girl to toy with"
Scor smirked and winked as he fixed his hair and Liv shook her head disappointedly.
"Have you learned noth-" she began before he cut her off.
"Joking Liv. Of course not, I was at the library, working. I'm done with girls for a while" he sounded earnest but Rox, Ly and Lor just laughed at him.
"What? I am!"
"You wouldn't know what to do with your free time" Rox pointed out, earning laughs from the boys.
"I'm sure he could manage to find something to do with himself…" Ly trailed off laughing and hi-fiving Lorcan. Scor punched him in the leg and turned back.~

"You believe me don't you Liv?"
Liv hadn't laughed initially but she wasn't sure. She had an idea about why he might not want any other girls for a while but Liv didn't know if he would manage it. He was almost habitual in the girls he dated.
"Um. I think you could if you really wanted. But why all of a sudden?"
" Um maybe because the last one went all psycho on me?"
"I think she went psycho on me…" Rox added and he smiled apologetically.
"So really you're doing it for Rox?" Lorcan asked giving a sly look to Ly.
"No Lor, I'm doing it for me. I'm tired of the girls I date. I want a proper relationship."
Ly placed a hand to his heart and mimed wiping tears away, "Aw. Our little Scorpie's growing up!"
"Good luck with getting a decent girl to date you" Liv added bluntly.
He put his hand to his chest, clutching his heart dramatically, "Ooo, my heart Olivia"
"Sorry mate but she's right. Girls don't like a guy with a history of flings, unless they're looking for one, in which case they probably aren't the girl to give you a proper relationship" Lorcan backed her up.
Liv smiled at him from across the small space, "Exactly"
"Well then, I'll just have to try a little harder won't I?"
"Anyone in mind?" Ly pressed, Liv grinned over at the twins and their subtle suggestions.
It meant however, that she didn't notice when his eyes flitted momentarily to Roxanne and he shook his head, "Nope. Not yet"~

The next few weeks whizzed by for Roxanne. Her time and attention was stretched thin between her studies, Quidditch, her friends, and spending more time with her family. As promised Freddie still spent at least an hour with her each week, though they often spent entire mornings and afternoons in each other's company. She also spent time with Lucy and Hugo, completing work from the classes they shared together. With any spare moments she had to make time for spending with Iridis, training him. He was progressing nicely and was clearly fond of her close friends and dorm mates, and for some reason her estranged cat Ginger, who wasn't too pleased about him and didn't return the affection. Needless to say, Ginger visited even less. Unfortunately, Rox couldn't let him out of the dorm because while Hogwarts didn't have Parva listed on the banned creatures document, she knew he might be objected to. Just a little.

Before she knew it, it was almost Halloween. Halloween was two days away to be exact.
Hogwarts was throwing their annual Halloween party and this time because the holiday fell at the beginning of the break rather than in the middle of it, the majority of the school would be attending.
It was the Wednesday before the holidays officially begun and she still didn't have a costume or a date. Though she and her friends had decided to just go together as they did every year, Rox was determined Liv would be going with Lorcan so Roxanne was mentally preparing herself to be alone for the night - especially as Ly and Scor would probably bring dates along. She didn't want to be fifth wheeling...

"Earth to Roxanne"
"Huh? Oh, sorry"
Lorcan looked at her and rolled his eyes jokingly.
"The meter's ticking Rox" he tapped his wrist, hinting at an imaginary watch.
She laughed making a heart shape with her hands, "I'll pay you in love"
She was getting help on her latest Care of Magical Creatures essay, it was a little challenging and she couldn't find much help in library. Though, that was probably because she hadn't known where to look. Lorcan had been helping her for the past twenty minutes and he was just checking her final attempt over, she had only handed him the parchment a minute and a bit ago and she was already side-tracked. He had been holding the page out to her for a good thirty seconds.
"It's fine now" he smiled and waved it at her to finally take, "Good job"
"You sure?" she hesitated.
"Yes Roxanne, I'm sure"
She grinned actually taking it back now, "Thank you"
She put the work in her bag and began to screw the lid back on her ink well.
"Who're you taking to the ball, Lorc?" she asked casually as she packed up.
"No one, why?" He looked genuinely confused. "I thought we were all going as a group like usual"
The five of them had attended as a group for the past three years.
"Hm, but isn't there anyone you want to ask? Wouldn't you rather be alone with a girl than us lot?"
He shrugged, "I don't mind being with you guys"
"No I know that, but I'm just saying maybe you should think about asking someone…" she pressed.
He still looked slightly confused, though it seemed to dawn on him who she meant, "What are you getting at Rox?" he raised an eyebrow.
Ugh, she hoped he would take the first hint and not question her. Wishful thinking. "You know Lorc. Just ask her" she sighed.
"Who told you, Ly or Scor?" he asked sighing too.
"No one told me anything Lorcan. It's obvious. To pretty much everyone but her; just ask her, you won't regret it."
Rox waved the rest of her books into her bag and stood. "Thanks so much for the help, I'm off to get changed. See you on the pitch Lorc. She'll be out there now" Rox winked and left Lorcan to his internal debating. ~

When Roxanne arrived on the pitch, half dressed for Quidditch, she spotted Lorcan and Olivia up in the air; hovering close. Roxanne grinned it seemed he had gotten the courage up to ask her, now all Liv had to do was say yes. She found the changing rooms empty; everyone else would be getting something to eat before practice. Rox had decided to just visit the kitchens later. Without bothering to go into the female section she placed her wand on one of the benches and peeled off her jumper. She had already changed into her kit, only her jersey was left in the changing rooms. She pulled her strappy tank down from where it had risen and was jolted when she heard someone clear their throat from behind her.
She whirled around, and saw Logan standing in the doorway.
She gasped slightly, trying to cover her surprise as she spoke, "Don't tell me we have to share the pitch again?"
He laughed lightly, "No, you should be safe from injuries today. I came to see you actually"
"Oh um, okay. What do you need?" She reached for her jersey from her locker, suddenly feeling uncomfortable in her thin, quite low cut top. She pulled it over her head and sat on the bench, tapping the spot next to her.
He walked towards her and sat down. He flashed that smile of his and Roxanne wondered if he was aware of what it did to girls. Probably.
"Well I was wondering, seeing as we never did get to Hogsmead that time, do you want to go to the b-"
"Roxyyyy!"
Liv came running into the room swinging in by the door frame, stopping abruptly when she noticed Logan.
"Oh... sorry. Um- I'll just-" Liv inched out of the room walking backwards.
"Is your friend okay?"
"Yeah. She's just really happy at the moment" Rox smiled fondly, knowing she must have just been asked to the ball by Lorcan.
"Uh huh." He still looked taken aback by Liv's entrance.
"Yeah, sorry. What were you saying?"
"I was just going to ask if you'd like to be my date for the Halloween party"
She paused, almost in shock and he took it badly, "That is, if you don't already have one…"
"Yes, I do. No- I mean no- I don't. Yes, I'd love to be your date"
He grinned, "Great. I'll pick you up at eight, if I don't see you before, that is" he tucked a stray curl behind her ear before smiling and walking out.
"I'll see you in Potions tomorrow" she returned.
"Even better" he called back
"Wait, Logan! What are you wearing?"
"Huh? He looked down at himself confusedly.
"To the party. What's your costume?"
"Oh. I'm going as Superman" he winked and waved goodbye.
Roxanne sat back onto the bench and sighed contentedly. She had a date. Logan wanted her to be his date. She grinned stupidly to herself just as Olivia walked back into the room.
"Heaskedmetogotothepartywithhim!" She managed to squeal out before she rushed and jumped onto Rox spinning her around in a strange celebratory dance.
Rox's grin widened and she squeezed her friend back tightly, happy she was happy. Rox spotted Ly, Lorcan and Scor standing in the doorway over Liv's shoulder as she spun around. Scor was leaning against it smiling softly at them, Ly was grinning stupidly and clasped his brother on the shoulder, while Lorcan watched on with a big smile stuck to his face.
"Excited about something are we, Wood?"
Liv stopped spinning abruptly and her cheeks flared as she realised the three boys had seen her celebration.
"Uh yeah. Not that it's any of your business Scamander"
Ly smirked, "So what is it that could have possibly gotten you so happy? Or should I say who is it?"
"Well if you must know. I was excited for Roxanne because she's going with Logan to the party" Liv answered smugly.
Rox spun to stare at Liv, she shrugged but her eyes said sorry, she had been embarrassed and thought up the best excuse she could.
Ly had no come-back, in fact he looked slightly annoyed by the news. Though Roxanne knew none of the males in her life would be particularly happy- she didn't expect them to be- she had hoped they would be at least supportive.
Brushing the silence to the side, Rox clapped her hands once and rubbed them together, "Right then, where's the team? "
"Practice doesn't start for another twenty minutes" Lorcan answered helpfully.
"Oh" she pulled a face and walked to her locker to pick out her body pads.
She sat down again and started strapping them to her shins and ankles. Liv had just been warming up so was missing kit. She disappeared into the female locker room to change.
"So much for your promise then Rox" Ly snapped at her the moment Liv was out of earshot.
"For Merlin's sake Lysander, he literally just asked me. I didn't exactly have a chance!"
"Are we missing something?" Lorcan enquired, a little confused about his brother's sudden change in tone.
"No, just your brother being stupid, Lor. He was getting all annoyed at the idea of me and Logan, which isn't even a thing by the way, and I said I'd tell him if we went out. Except I didn't have the time to before he started to accuse me"
Lorcan looked at his brother in disbelief. Ly simply shrugged and looked away.
Rox was annoyed at him for even daring to call her out on her promise. She had been patient when she'd made it, putting it down to the fact he was like a brother to her, but now, getting annoyed when he'd just walked in?!
She finished her straps, put her wand into her wand locker, grabbed her broom and pushed past the boys, practically kicking off the moment she was outside. ~

"Well done Ly" Lorcan commented sarcastically as he pulled off his jumper and reached for his jersey.
"What?"
"You know what! Why are you getting so involved? They're not even dating!"
"But they will! Can't you see it? He wants her, and because he's the type of guy she'll fall for, he'll get her."
"So you wait until he does. Ly if anything, you're just pushing her towards him. I know you don't like it but you've got to let her make her own mistakes. He might not be that bad"
"Might not be that bad? Really Lor?"

"Just leave her okay, Ly. She'll be fine, and if not we'll be there for her, that's all we can do"
"Ugh. Fine. But if he hurts her..."
"Yeah, I know" Lorcan put his hand on his brother's shoulder, calming him. Ly'd always been the one with the shorter temper. But Lorc knew why he was angry, growing up, Lysander had always wanted a little sister, spending time with the Weasley's had made him wish for a bigger family. At Hogwarts, Rox had become that to them, she was a close friend but in the back of their minds she was a little sister to both of them and they'd fallen into the role of bigger brothers. It was hard for them to let go and be just friends when there was potential for her to be hurt.
"She'll be fine, tell him Scor?" Ly turned to speak to his friend but he'd left. ~

Roxanne had flown across the pitch and up to the goal hoops. Now she sat in the largest ring, her broom in one hand, the other, supporting her against the metal. She could see Scorpius flying towards her, but didn't bother moving. It wasn't him she was angry at.
He paused, getting himself into a comfortable position on the ring.
"Don't be angry with Ly"
"He can't just get annoyed at me for no reason and then expect me to be happy about it, Scor"
"It wasn't for no reason"
"It was! He didn't even give me a chance!"
"No, I know. Sorry, that came out wrong... What I mean is that Ly did have a reason. To him, anyway. The way he saw it, you hadn't told him something which you promised you would, he found out from someone that wasn't you. Even if you were standing right there."
"I understand that but, it's not a big thing, I don't understand why he's getting so stressed"
"Rox, you're like a little sister to those two. They care about you a lot. You know Ly's always had a shorter fuse; well he's just worried you're going to get hurt. And because he's him, he expresses it a little more. It's just if he knows what's going on, he thinks he can protect you better. Stop you from getting hurt. He's just looking out for you Roxy. We all are"
She looked at him and didn't know what to say. It always surprised her how amazing he was when it came to the emotions of other people, especially considering he had mastered hiding his own when he wanted so well.
Instead, she said the first thing that came to mind, "Your hair's messy, did you know?"
He laughed, running a hand through it and messing it up further. He then put his hand on her head and ruffled hers.
"Yeah well, so is yours" he poked his tongue out at her.
In response she pushed her broom at him forcing him to take it and tied her hair up in a ponytail, undoing the mess he'd made. She took her broom back and poked her tongue out. "Not anymore it's not"
"Missed a bit" he teased, looking at the curl poking out at the side of her head.
"Where?" She patted her head with her free hand, looking for loose tendrils.
"Right there" she patted her head some more towards the side he'd pointed, missing the curl sticking out each time.
"You're lying"
"Am not"
"Where is it then?" She sighed in frustration, not able to find the hair he was referring to.
He smirked in amusement, "Just here"
He reached forwards and took her loose curl and brushed it gently behind her ear, his fingers lingered, softly trailing the nape of her neck, before he replaced his hand on the ring for support. She tightened her hold on the ring, she'd felt as though her balance had just faltered.
"There you go" he finalised.
"Thank you" she blushed lightly, turning to look over the pitch in order to hide it.
It was quiet for a few seconds as they both stared out at the view around them, the sky was clear and beautiful. The silence between them wasn't awkward or uncomfortable but Rox felt the desire to fill it anyway. She liked talking to Scorpius, she always had, he had this way about him that calmed her, she always felt like she could say anything to him.
"Do you not see me as a little sister then?"
"What?" He turned back to her.
"Well you said, 'those two' see me as one. Don't you?" Her question surprised him and he didn't know what kind of answer she was expecting.
"Um, not really. Why, do you want me to?"
She thought about it, she did quite like the fact that Lor and Ly saw her that way, it didn't affect their friendship much but she was happy they felt that close and protective of her, even if it was a little annoying. To be truthful, she felt the same about them. But when she thought about Scor as a brother figure, something wasn't right about the idea. Before she could really explain it to herself she answered him, "Definitely not" she was surprised at the speed of her own answer and by the ever so slight curve in his eyebrow so was he.

She tried to recover, "Um, I mean. I don't want any more brother figures, not if they're going to act like this"
He laughed, "I'll try not to but I can't promise I won't too from time to time"
"Hm. So if I'm not an adoptive little sister, what's your excuse?" She teased poking him in the side lightly. He had anticipated her attack and tensed, trying to control his ticklish responses. She frowned when she got no reaction, he poked her back in retaliation and she jumped, having to hold on tighter to the ring to keep her balance. He held her arm with his free hand to be sure.
"I still care about you. Sister figure or not. That and I promised Dom I'd take care of you"
His comment had made her smile but at the mention of Dom she frowned. "When was this?"
"Last time we saw her, she randomly made me promise to take care of you. Merlin knows why"
Rox groaned involuntarily.
"Go on then. Tell me why"
"Dom's had this idea in her head since like forever now that me and you... that we would make a good couple. Of course, I've pointed out all the reasons it is a stupid idea but she's quite determined. She likes to remind me whenever we speak. She probably hoped you would tell me to remind me again"
He chuckled, meddling, it seemed was a Weasley trait, "How did it start?"
"I think I was a little over excited about making friends with you guys in first year. And since she knew Lorc and Ly, she took me talking about you to be the equivalent of a crush." Rox rolled her eyes, she'd left out the fact that she had actually had a small crush on Scorpius in first year. But it didn't mean anything now.
He laughed in response, "Are you sure you didn't have a crush on me back then? I do remember you being awfully girly around me" he swung his leg over the side so he was facing her fully and wiggled his eyebrows.
She laughed, slapping his leg. "I remember you being blonde, but people change don't they Scorpius?" he cringed.
"And anyway, I if I was girly first year it was because I had been stuck at home without my big brother and only Lily and Liv to hang out with for a good year. Not because of you" she poked her tongue at him and he laughed, showing off his white, almost perfect teeth, in response.

They sat there for a little while longer until they spotted the figures of the team milling about on the pitch. They both flew down and landed behind the team, separating off. Rox walked past a couple players and stood by Liv, in silence, facing the centre of the front of the group where Ly had taken position, ready to speak. Liv nudged her side and whispered an apology. Rox smiled, remembering how happy Liv had been that Lorcan had asked her to the ball. She threw her arm around Liv's shoulders and bumped her hip at her.
"It's fine, Liv" she whispered back.
She felt Liv bump her back as both girls continued to face forwards, listening to their Captain. Ly finished telling them all his plans for the day's training and ordered a warm up to begin with. Just before Rox took off he called her over. She went to him, suddenly glad Scor had stopped her from being angry with him, now they wouldn't have to argue on the pitch.

He waited till she was close enough to hear him, "I'm sorry Roxy. I overreacted. It's ju-"
"I know, Ly" Scor had explained his feelings well enough for her to not be angry. She pulled her friend into a hug.
"Sorted." He grinned at her as he pulled back, hands on her shoulders he gave them a quick squeeze.
"We've got some catching up to do, in the air Weasley" he stepped back and mounted his broom, kicking off, leaving her with no choice but to follow~

"Pretty eventful day then, huh?" Liv lay on Rox's bed stroking Iridis as Rox tidied away her clothes. The dorm was empty except for them and the girls had decided to ditch the boys for the evening. Liv had insisted they had outfits, hair and make up to plan for, now that they both had dates. Rox finished, jumping onto the bed with her best friend and pet, jostling them both.

"Yeah" Rox grinned. "I can't believe we both have dates, I mean, you yes. But me?"
"I've been telling you for ages that he likes you" Liv rolled her eyes, speaking with an air of 'i-told-you-so' in her voice.
Rox shook her head, still not quite ready to believe it unless Logan himself said it to her. Even then, she would have a hard time accepting anything as fact.
"I've been telling you for much longer that Lorcan likes you!"
Liv blushed, still unable to wipe the smile off her face. She'd been trying to unsuccessfully get rid of it all evening.
"I just can't believe it. He was just so cute about it! He got all flustered"
"Aw, what did he say exactly?"
"Well, I was just having a fly when he flew up and hovered over the stands. He called me over and said that he'd been thinking and then he just froze for a while, I had to nudge him." Liv giggled at the memory, "He was like, 'You know how we go as a group every year?' and of course I said yes, then he said, 'Well I was thinking of asking someone to go with me' and he asked me if I thought he should. I couldn't tell if he was hinting at me or not, I didn't want to get ahead of myself, you know?"

Rox nodded, she had had first-hand experience with that and didn't want to repeat it.

Liv continued, "So I said yes, go for it and then he just nodded and asked me straight out."

"I'm so happy he did" Rox smiled, glad Lorcan had followed her advice.

"Yeah, me too" Liv paused, summoning over a large black box, that had shot out from under her bed. The box hovered over the bed space between the two girls and Rox reached forwards to move Iridis from under its shadow. He growled a little at being disturbed, but took up a new position on Rox's cushion relatively quickly. Liv dropped the box and pulled back the lid to reveal an assortment of fabrics, all jumbled up.
"Now. What are you wearing?" she rocked back a little with a mischievous glint in her eye. Suddenly Rox wished she already had a costume.~

A/N:

Sorry if that was a little all over the place, I'm trying to pick up the pace and get things moving along. I've got some good ideas to use but I just need to get to the right points to use them and I don't want to rush!

Apologies for any SPAG {Spelling Punctuation And Grammar to you and me} mistakes, its nearly 3AM here and I don't really know why I'm up. Posting this I guess!

The next chapter will be the Halloween ball and I've got the majority of it planned out. Though if anyone has any ideas or suggestions - for the next chap/ further on than that- drop me a PM or a review. I'll credit anything I use of course.

Anyway, hope you're all doing well, have a great Easter, eat loads of chocolate and leave me a review!
Lots of Love,

Cookiexx
