A Night Of Romance
Alright ladies and gents! I am back for another exciting chapter for you! Now this chapter is set a couple of hours after our friends finished playing the drinking game. They will have their separate moments in the chapter , meaning the couples will mainly be included! Without further ado…another chapter for you!
Such a beautiful city at night! Rio de Janeiro has lights gleaming all over the city, including the illuminated view of the Christ The Redeemer statue.
Our favourite feathery friends were all in their couples, and the likes of Nico, Kipo, Michael, Diante and Raul were all back at the club tidying up after the winners celebration.
But let's go and have a look at our favourite blue spix macaw couple, who were enjoying a lovely evening on the beach. With relaxation as well as a little…fun and games.
Blu was currently laying down on the shore, while his beloved was splashing around in the sea. Blu was laying on his side, watching his wife gracefully splash around in the ocean, rubbing her chest feathers and tail feathers in such a seductive way to try and get Blu to look at her.
Jewel would occasionally glance at him and rub her chest feathers ever so slowly to tease her husband. "Coming in to join me Bluey?" She asked loud enough for him to hear.
"Alright sweetie, ready or not…here I come!" Blu got up from his position and ran towards her at full pace and tackled her softly. The two of them ended up rolling around in the water, laughing and smiling the whole way.
"Oh you're gonna pay for that one Bluey! Take this!" Jewel giggled while splashing a little bit of water on him. Once he rubbed his face to get the water out of his eyes, he evilly grinned at her.
"Oh…it's going to be like that is it? Big mistake!" Blu chuckled and raised his wings in a sort of attack position.
"Ahhh! Hahaha!" Jewel shrieked a little and started running around in the water while Blu chased her. He chased her around the shallow end of the sea, trying to tackle her again. Lucky for him he managed to catch her and they both ended up back on the shore, with Blu laying on top of her as they both started panting in exhaustion.
They both smiled warmly at each other, with so much love and bliss. Jewel then leaned up and gave Blu a long, passionate and beautiful kiss. Their tongues collided with each other, savouring this beautiful moment. Until they both had to part to gain some much needed oxygen.
"I love you Jewel! You are my heart and soul. My moon and stars. My reason for life! I couldn't live a second on this earth, without you in my life!" Blu whispered to her in a loving way.
Jewel started to tear up because of the beautiful words that her husband had just spoke. Her heart felt like it had just melted.
"Oh Blu! You are the best thing that has ever happened to me! I promise I will never love anyone else! You are my one and only! In this life and the next! I love you too!"
They both had the biggest smiles on their faces. The two of them got up and started walking back towards their hollow wing in wing. Every few seconds they would gaze into each other's eyes and sighed in a happy way. This was truly a beautiful sight!
Meanwhile…on the Christ The Redeemer Statue, Pedro and Zara were on the right arm of the statue overlooking the city.
Pedro laid down in a comfy position, and his girlfriend leaned up against him feeling very comfortable with him.
The red crested cardinal took a deep breath and sighed happily. "Wow! The city is so beautiful at night! But I know what's more beautiful than this."
"Really? What can be more beautiful than the city of Rio?" The blue jay female wondered as she looked up at him with a curious eyebrow raised.
"You of course!" Pedro responded happily while bringing her in for a quick kiss on the beak.
"Oh Peddy! You know just the right thing to say to me!" She answered blissfully, while blushing slightly.
"Peddy? I like that new nickname!"
"What would be my cute nickname?" Zara replied while gazing into the cardinals eyes. Pedro then placed a wingtip on his chin to think. Then he lowered his head to face her and smiled at his girlfriend lovingly.
"Your name is already too beautiful! When I say your name it makes my heart melt! I don't think any nickname is needed, if that's ok?" Pedro responded in a calm soothing voice.
Zara looked up at him with a twinkle in her eye, and nuzzled her head against his chest in an affectionate, passionate way.
"You are so wonderful Pedro! I'm so glad I met you…and…thank you!"
"Thank me? For what my love?"
"Thank you for saving my life! If it wasn't for you…I'd still be working for the jongo club!"
"Hey don't worry about it hot wing! I got you, and I'm never letting go!" The red cardinal responded as he kissed the top of her forehead, making her giggle in delight.
"Let's stay up here for a little while longer. Such a…perfect night!" Zara responded and closed her eyes as she fell asleep in Pedro's wings.
"Yeah, ok Zara! I think we can stay up here for a little longer!" Pedro whispered as he too decided to close his eyes and drift off to sleep.
Going back to the beach now, near Nico and Pedro's beach pad. The tree just behind it was the home of both Malcom and Lexi who just managed to put the three energetic spix macaw chicks to sleep. They looked absolutely exhausted.
"Lexi, I wish that you had warned me in advance that we would be taking care of Blu and Jewel's kids for the night. I'm so tired, especially after hearing about all the kinds of rocks that little girl specified for me!" Malcom yawned and leaned up against the hollow entrance.
"Honey…her name is Bia! And she likes to read with her dad! We should teach our kids how to do that some day." Lexi responded in a quiet voice while giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Why is that a good thing for birds? Birds don't need to know how to read! They need to know how to search for food, make a nest, find a hollow, teach them about sex. Reading isn't a big thing to learn!"
"Yes yes, I know Malcom. I know. But think about it in a larger perspective? If they knew how to read, then that could be good to read danger signs in the jungle!" The scarlet female replied after sitting next to him at the hollow entrance.
Malcom smiled at his girlfriend with so much love and admiration for her. His heart was beating a bit faster when he saw his beloved licking her beak and batting her eyelashes.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Lexi whispered seductively as she motioned with her head towards the beach pad.
A sly grin formed on Malcom's beak. But it soon turned to one of uncertainty, when he looked back at the sleeping kids.
"What about the children?"
"Come on…five minutes and we will be back! Unless…I'm enjoying it far too much, hehe!" Lexi whispered soothingly again while rubbing her chest feathers with one of her wings.
"Alright…but we have to do this quickly! I don't want to get the blame from their parents if one of them goes missing!" Malcom quickly responded as the two of them launched themselves out of the tree and into the beach pad.
The two of them flew inside and immediately started blushing as they got themselves prepared. This was going to be another night of fun for them, as the three children remained asleep in their hollow.
Several minutes away from the beach, Nightfly and Tanya were currently sat in their hollow cuddling in their nest.
Nightfly sat there in silence, looking up at the many gleaming stars that beautifully spread across the sky in a marvellous pattern. He was in awe of what he was gazing at, but there was something else on his mind that he couldn't stop thinking about.
"Hey honey?" Nightfly whispered to his girlfriend who opened one eye. "What do you think Jewel meant, Blu is maybe seeing things again?"
"Erm…I don't quite know Nightfly? Why do you wonder about it?"
"I don't know Tanya! I mean…what if he wasn't seeing things?
"What are you talking…"
"I mean, what if Blu saw…him!" Nightfly wondered while starting to feel slightly afraid of the thought of a certain bird.
"Nightfly…Julio is dead! Douglas sacrificed himself to ensure that! Blu didn't see Julio! I just think Blu might have been light headed from the game! That's all!" Tanya replied in a more serious tone.
The blue spix macaw male looked at his partner and then back up to the stars. He sighed heavily and rubbed his face with his wings.
"You're right sweetie! I shouldn't be worrying about the impossible. I have been having nightmares about the possibility of him being alive! But I know it's all in my head!"
"Exactly honey! Don't worry about it anymore. Now…let's just have a nice cuddle and then we can drift off to sleep together…unless?"
"Unless what?" Nightfly pondered while raising his eyebrow with curiosity. Then Tanya leaned in and whispered something to him which made his eyes widen in surprise. "Really? Right now?"
"Uhhuh!" Tanya responded while narrowing her eyes playfully and rubbing his back in a sooth, seductive manner.
"Alright…on your marks…get set…go!" When Nightfly shouted go, the two of them launched themselves out of the hollow and flew side by side towards the Christ The Redeemer statue.
"Remember! If you lose hot shot, I get to name our future sons or daughters!" Tanya giggled while taking the lead.
This made Nightfly smile at her lovingly before picking up the pace to match her speed. "If you lose I get to name them! Which…looks like…I WILL!" He shouted happily as he shot forward like lightning, making his girlfriend chuckle.
Not exactly a romantic evening for these two lovebirds but at least they had a fun idea on how to keep themselves busy.
Meanwhile, back at the samba club Nico, Kipo, Michael, Diante and Raul has just finished cleaning the club for the night, and were about to head home.
"See you later guys! Great party!" Kipo beamed full of praise, then waved goodbye to his friends as he shot out of the club.
"Yeah I'm gonna go too guys. Thanks for a great party!" The yellow canary said, but for some reason it sounded quite glum and depressed.
"Woah woah wait a minute bro! What's wrong with you? You should be happy? We won the game and we had a great party!" Michael questioned him, walking up to Nico with a surprised expression on his face.
"Sorry guys, I don't mean to be like this at all! Just…got something on my mind!" Nico apologised before turning away again. That was until Diante grabbed him on the shoulder and spun him around to face him.
"Something? Or someone? I've seen that look before my friend! You were thinking about a girl weren't you?"
"IT DOESN'T MATTER! Sorry…I didn't mean to shout. I just…don't want to talk about it ok? I'll see you in the morning, I'm going to the beach pad!" The canary immediately apologised for blurting that out and left the club as quick as he could.
"Man…I kinda feel sorry for the guy!" Raul spoke softly while putting the last few glasses away on the shelves behind them. "Who do you think the girl was? Zara?"
"No way dude! Nico made it clear that he was happy with Pedro and Zara dating. But yeah…that look was definitely a broken heart! I've never seen that face on him before!" Michael responded, assuring his friends that Nico doesn't like Zara in that way.
"I know…well I'm off to bed guys! Night!"
"Night Raul! I'm gonna go to bed too! I'm still a little tipsy after this party!" Michael yawned before entering his room, leaving Diante alone.
"Well, I'm just going to have one more drink before heading to bed I think!" The white hawk thought to himself as he gulped down one more glass of vodka before heading to bed himself.
So, every couple in Rio seemed to have the most perfect, romantic evening! The night fell into a peaceful atmosphere. With the odd noise every now and then from either drunk birds having brawls in the street, or angry dads who will continuously tell their kids to go to sleep.
But other than that…it was all silent. That was until you could hear a familiar yellow canary shouting with anger when he opened the beach pad door.
"MALCOM? LEXI? YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME! THAT'S MY BED!"
I had to end this chapter on a bit of humour didn't I? That's the end of chapter 3 and the end of a beautiful evening! Well I hope you enjoyed this story so far, because in the next chapter…there will be an unexpected arrival in Rio, as well as a few…familiar characters shall we say? Until then…see you all soon for chapter 4!
