My latest Jack Sloane story. I am super sad by the news of Maria Bello, AKA Jack Sloane leaves the show, but this is another story about Sloane and her army-backstory. I hope you enjoy it. I might be a bit slow to update it because I am starting my master's degree tomorrow, but I will do my best to update as soon as possible.

It has been a pretty busy week where the team has been busy working on a series of murders on female servicemembers. They have 3 cases within the last two weeks, and all the victims had blonde hair and wherein their early to mid-30, and they were all in the rank of lieutenant. Jack has been busy working on the profile of a potential suspect for the team.

Gibbs comes into the bullpen with a fresh cup of coffee and is ready for an update.

"Gibbs, we got a suspect," Bishop announces, and the team gathers in front of the monitor. A picture of a blonde man in his late 30 comes up on the screen. He is wearing an army uniform.

"meet Jonathan Holland, private first-class, dishonorably discharged from the army back in 2007 after he attacked three soldiers on a base in Helman province." Bishop begins, and soon Torres follows up.

"He served one tour in Afghanistan. He had an average service record until his behavior suddenly changed two months before his tour in Afghanistan was supposed to end."

"was he court-martialed?" Gibbs asks

"no, but he was sent home from Afghanistan. He was dishonorably discharged from the army after he attacked several service members on base. He stabbed one in the leg with a knife." McGee reads from the service record.

"before this and several other minor events that resulted in disciplinary actions, he had an average service record. According to his commanding officer, he wasn't the brightest soldier, but he did his job and followed orders." Torres explains.

"according to the record, he wasn't very well-liked either in his unit or on base in Afghanistan. He was a loner with an averagely intelligent. He was anti-social and as a quiet but good kid, until the incident where he attacked several of his fellow service members." Bishop explains as they are looking at the picture on the screen of several beat up soldiers.

"Sloane said our killer is severely socially skilled, especially with women," Gibbs says, questioning to Bishop.

"boss, this man has been in contact with all three victims on social media, and he is severely active on online dating sites. Actually, he has more than five different profiles on different sites and definitely has a type of blonde woman mid 30s service members of different branches. His next victim could be on one of these sites."

"then who is she?" Gibbs asks.

"boss, this man has been chatting with a higher number of women than Torres hits on in the gym in a month," McGee explains, a little defensive when Gibbs is expecting a name right away. McGee's comment on Torres's flirting record in the gym generates a proud grin on Torres's face and more of a disgusted one on Bishops.

"McGee, I am not interested in knowing about Torres's next victim. I am interested in knowing about this man's next victim." Gibbs says, irritated, and points to the picture of Jonathan Holland.

"on it, boss," McGee says and sits down behind his computer and starts sorting through Hollands dating record. Jack comes walking down the stairs with her phone in her hand. She seems distracted by something on it.

"done with the profile, Jack?" Gibbs asks Sloane, but She doesn't respond. She seems too occupied with her phones.

"someone got an admirer," Bishop says, teasing and walks over to look at Jack's phone. That catches Jack's attention, and she quickly puts her phone in her pocket.

"Sorry, what was that?" she asks.

"you okay?" Gibbs asks, concerned. She seems bothered by something on her phone.

"yeah, something weird." Jack says. "never mind." She adds when she notices the suspicious and concerned look on Gibbs's face.

"have you checked the suspect's record?" Gibbs asks. Jack has a case file in her hand.

"not finished yet. There is something…" Jack doesn't finish her sentence but stares at the picture on the monitor.

"Jack," Gibbs says, confused when she doesn't finish. It takes a moment before she snaps out of it and looks at Gibbs again.

"sorry." She says and tries hard to direct her attention to the monitor. "any thoughts on what could change a rapid change in behavior like the one that this guy went through that would result in him attacking his fellow servicemembers?" Gibbs asks.

"I think I might know, but I would really like to get a second opinion on it first. There is something about this guy. I need to make sure. I'll let you know." Jack says, and she leaves the bullpen followed by very bewildered looks from the team.

"what was that about?" McGee asks.

"it is probably her new guy that is distracting her," Bishop says with a knowing grin on her face.

"a new guy?" Torres asks, very interested in the conversation.

"hey…" Gibbs says loud before Bishop can elaborate on her juicy details about whoever was distracting Jack from a serial killer case. "suspect. Serial killer. Internet dating. Dead servicemembers. Find him. Now." Gibbs orders irritated, and the three agents get back to work.
