Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Washed up city. Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own Batman; DC and a few others do.
Penguin rolled along the walkway before slamming into the water. His Kabuki Twins were unconscious along with him.
"No plant wants parasites…" Ivy muttered before noticing that police sirens were growing louder.
Ivy smirked as she prepared to deal with the police who knew she was there.
(With Dylan)
Dylan walked towards the botanical gardens; his mutated visage hidden behind the helmet of his suit… the last thing his father created… the last thing his father would ever gift the world. He needed answers, and time to clear his head before he was able to do anything else.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by a massive vine throwing a police car into the air, shattering the windshield and crushing the car.
He watched another giant tree emerging from another police car, impaling the vehicle and sprouting vines which sprawled the police officers along the ground.
Dylan walked through the destroyed front door. He could hear voices.
"First Cobblepot, then the cops… you'd think I was queen of a popularity contest." Dylan walked further inside before looking up.
There stood a girl he had seen on the news, surrounded by the unconscious bodies of police, she kicked one from her perch into her vines.
The girl stood barefoot, her only garment an anklet made of leaves along with a grassy dress with one strap on her right arm. Her hair was primed in the shape of a rose.
"Oh, another gnat in the garden?" Dylan heard before she sent several vines at him.
If by its own will, several waves of water lanced out from the lake surrounding the tree and cut the vines apart.
"Water powers… I have water powers." Dylan stated to himself and looked at his arms.
"Great everyone gets superpowers… seems we have a waterspout in the yard." Ivy stepped off her tree while Dylan looked at her.
"Waterspout? Huh, that's not bad… You can call me Waterspout; I already know who you are… Poison Ivy." The newly christened metahuman stated before trying something.
He raised his arm and shot it forward and a blast of water shot out at Ivy who blocked it with dozens of branches.
"Superhero fanboy." Ivy muttered before smirking and firing thorns at Waterspout who countered it with a wave of water.
He was thrown into the air by a geyser of aqua threw himself at Ivy.
(With Batman and Batgirl)
"Batman, Ivy just took out a squad of my men… one of the few guys who didn't get punted by a plant said she's fighting some guy in a metal suit using water to fight her." Gordon reported as Batman knocked out the last of Joker's men with a kick to the face.
"Guy with water powers?" Batgirl raised an eyebrow before Harley went to punch her only to be flipped to the ground.
"Dylan. He's fighting Ivy?" Batman asked himself before Batgirl raised her eyes.
Not only did she not know that Dylan was alive till now, thinking that over a dozen had been killed.
The other was that he was fighting Ivy. She knew her former friend, she was inhumanly powerful and more then dangerous enough to trounce the police.
"He's trying to take Ivy head on?" Batman said nothing.
He still had Bane, Freeze, Firefly and Joker to take care of. He hoped Dylan could hold out against Ivy.
(With Waterspout.)
Waterspout fired a blast of water which shattered the entire roof of the gardens before balancing on it.
He was still getting the hang of his powers; he could tell he had no control over the power of his blasts… and his aim sucked.
"That all you got, tulip? I thought you were supposed to be a big…" Ivy fired more thorns, all to mask the vines.
Waterspout managed to block the vines with a wave of his throwing up water, slicing up the thorns. He barely managed to dodge the vines.
"Ok, that was…" He looked down to see that a vine managed to wrap around his arm.
Ivy flicked a finger and threw the rookie Superhero into the water. She giggled as he flipped like a stone and slammed into the water. Waterspout groaned and was surprised the armor didn't break… he'd go, bury his father… and then upgrade the suit after a long mental talk with himself.
"Ah, did I knock the waterdrop loose from its perch?" Ivy taunted before over a dozen tendrils of the pond slammed through the tree, knocking Ivy into the water as well.
"Ok… I didn't mean to do that… But I totally meant to do that." Waterspout chuckled before Ivy rose from the water.
The teenage girl looked VERY angry, which made Waterspout realized she had stopped holding back.
"Oh… Super fudge biscuits…" Waterspout muttered before rolling behind a rock as Ivy rained down thorns on him and raised her hand.
A giant root erupted from the ground and knocked Waterspout aside.
More sirens filled the air, more police. Ivy sighed and noted Waterspout was climbing to his feet.
"You got lucky, sprout… but you're getting planted next time…" Ivy reached out with several vines and grabbed 4 cops.
"You aren't getting away with this!" She batted him aside with a root and vanished underground, throwing dirt around.
Waterspout looked at the hole through a cracked helmet. He sighed and looked at Penguin and his henchmen.
"Great job, hero." He muttered to himself as cops swarmed in, Waterspout blasted himself to the shattered roof and vanished.
Author notes
Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out that Waterspout is going to have issues and he is still a rookie… next chapter is going to be next Friday or so and will show Batman and Batgirl talking to Waterspout, him upgrading his gear and Poison Ivy's next move. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
Ps: Batgirl's story is on Sunday hopefully.
