Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Washed up city. Enjoy the 1300-word chapter. I don't own Batman; DC and a few others do.

It wasn't hard for Waterspout to find ChoroGene's building… though he had no idea if it was the building Batman mentioned Ivy mutating at or not.

Waterspout entered the building and noticed the masses of vines. He blinked upon seeing flowers doting each and every one of them.

"You know, for someone who sure loves the beauty of nature like I do? you sure love destroying everything humanity built." Waterspout stated before turning and narrowing his eyes.

A few puffs of dust caused him to look up at Ivy, who was perched upon a massive tree, looking down at him.

"If you love nature, then you'd know Humans are just going to destroy everything beautiful about the environment." Ivy leapt down, using a vine to stop herself before landing.

Waterspout walked till the two elemental teenagers stared each other down. Waterspout crossed his arms.

"Your human. I might not like what people do… dumping garbage in the beautiful oceans, overfishing causing loss of life… oil spills and such, but I'm not going to lay waste to humanity for that." Waterspout responded, narrowing his eyes behind his mask.

"You felt it too, huh? That pull we have? Like we're both drawn to a flame?" Ivy patted the vine before Waterspout nodded.

"Yes, it's probably due to our powers, I think we're both find out more about it down the road." Waterspout stated before closing his eyes.

"You know what happens next since neither of us is going to stop?" Waterspout uncrossed his arms, Ivy hummed and nodded.

Then she thrusted her arms forward, causing roots to smash through the tiled floor as Waterspout blasted the ground under him, throwing him to a higher ledge.

"Don't suppose I could convince you to stand down and talk nature peacefully?" Ivy clenched her fists as thorns flew from the roots at him.

"Ok, onto the supervillain fight it is!" Waterspout joked before firing another blast of aqua to deflect the barrage at him.

(With Batman and Batgirl)

Batman landed on a ledge and noticed Ivy surf on a vine towards Waterspout who rolled out of the way and blasted her off the plant as she passed him.

"Not bad for a rookie," Batgirl muttered, Bruce glared at his sidekick, she sheepishly shrugged at this.

"What? he's been a hero about a day, I've been a hero a few days." Batgirl and Batman crept towards the cops, all of whom were trapped to a tree with vines.

This was before there was movement as a piece of shrubbery ripped off the tree and took Ivy's form.

Ivy looked up at the duo, a flower like plant wrapped around Waterspout.

"You didn't think I'd just leave my leverage somewhere you could uproot it, hmm?" Ivy asked before Waterspout pulled a hand free and blasted Ivy across the floor, freeing him.

"You make more plant jokes then what I saw on tv… also? Ow, just… ow." Waterspout looked up at Batman and Batgirl.

"Get the hostages, I'll fight Ivy!" he was sent flying into a wall by the plant powered girl and grunted.

"You think your hot stuff, aren't you?" Ivy asked while Waterspout pulled himself from the wall.

"Yes, because I have water powers, Ms. Flower power." He joked before flexing his arms.

Several pipes burst; water flowed over the entire floor as it came to its master.

Waterspout slipped a bit and fell to his knee, Ivy giggled before he blasted her into the knee-deep pool that the lobby had become.

"Oh, like you had could make plants dance right after you got your powers!" Waterspout hissed before Ivy sent several floating bits of flower after him.

Waterspout dove back into the water before blasting Ivy again. She managed to kick him and send him skidding backwards.

"You know, last time you broke my visor, I'm sending you the bill for the next time…" Waterspout continued to duck and wave through thorns and vines.

He knew very well he had very little experience with his powers… but Ivy had only had slightly more, he could handle her, he just needed…

He then remembered Ivy never tried to take him on hand to hand, he wasn't an expert at it, but he doubled he couldn't overpower Ivy.

"You know, for someone so smart, you'd think you'd do something more productive. Plant a forest, stop the death of rare trees…" He rushed at Ivy and kicked up a blast of water to mask his approach.

Ivy managed to bat him away, but he twirled his fingers and managed to grab her by the foot.

With a flick of his finger, he tossed Ivy into the water before looking up at more pipes. He looked at Ivy and chuckled

"Where do you think I'm planning on planting it?" Ivy questioned before Waterspout fired at the ground, lifting himself up to another ledge.

"Running away? Scared of little old me?" Ivy readied another vine as Waterspout perched right below the pipes in question.

"You ever think of Gotham Park? I heard on the news Batman put you on 'ice…', you sure you aren't washed up?" He joked before leaping down to dodge another vine.

He grinned as the pipes cracked, steel bolts came loose and metal creaked.

Water poured down, drowning the area in water. Ivy went to shield herself; she was too slow before more water flooded in and drowned the lobby.

She went to get up, Waterspout grabbed her and wretched her arms behind her as he panted.

"Your smart, and probably got a slight edge on me… but your way too cocky for a rookie supervillain." Waterspout was glad at least for one thing, Ivy couldn't attack him with plants if her hands were restrained, same as him.

"Says the guy with only a day worth of powers." Ivy stated, Waterspout blinked before she stomped the ground and threw him off her. a root formed under the villainess's feet

This was around the time Batman and Batgirl found the hostages for real as they cut down Ivy's plant goons.

Waterspout blasted himself up to Ivy's level and blasted at her, Ivy responded by smacking him down with a vine.

This caused the hero to smirk just as Batman launched a freezing pellet which caused Ivy to once again be incased in ice.

"Only needed to be a distraction…" Waterspout blinked as he fell backwards into the water, passed out.

"That seemed a bit too easy…" Batgirl stated while Batman could only watch as GCPD swarmed the place.

Batgirl watched as he dropped into the water to stop them from hauling off Waterspout. They began to drag Ivy off.

Another shot smashed through the window and clipped Batman, he clutched his arm and looked at the window only to see nothing.

A day later, he would learn it was Lex Luthor behind the string of the breakout… all to further his plans.

And it wouldn't be till tomorrow where Waterspout and Ivy would feel the pull again.

The pull of their domains. The 'Blue', which dominated the oceans and all fish life, which had chosen Waterspout as one of its agents… and the 'green' which had chosen Ivy as one of its agents.

Waterspout had no idea of the new monsters he'd be helping batman with as well.
