Hello beautiful people!

Thank you all for being so patient, I had intended to get another update out wayyyyy sooner than this but... I got stuck :(

Basically, I've hated, okay fine, really disliked, writing this section of the fic. I had it in my head how I wanted it to go and just couldn't manage to get it out when it came to typing it. Basically, I've scrapped and rewritten so much of these next couple chapters but I feel like they need to come out and I needed to update or I'd just never get past it.

Hope you like the chap more than I do!

(Let me know either way!)

Thanks to my two new followers/favers:

WaterWarrior60; scylla98

And so much love to my lovely reviewers:

Chapter 34- Strange Dreams and Jealousy

Roxanne was standing by the drinks table, at one end of the common room with Arianna and Scarlett. They were slightly tipsy and giggling away about Arianna's latest date, who'd floundered around Hogsmead with her because she'd made him nervous, the poor boy.

Roxanne idly stared around the room, still elated on the feeling of victory. She wished Logan were still there, but when Roxanne had told him about the argument that had occurred in his wake, he thought it best to stay away.

Roxanne agreed. But still, it would be nice for him to be here, she hadn't seen him very much in the last mad week she'd had.

Roxanne looked over to where Liv and Lorcan were. She pointed them out to the girls, and they all collectively 'aw'd at the couple; launching into a conversation about how cute they were. The girls started sharing anecdotes of cute moments they'd witnessed that made Rox's heart ache with fondness for her two friends as a couple.

"Hey, guys is that Malfoy?" Arianna asked, pointing over to another point of the common room.

He was stepping out from the entrance to the Ravenclaw library, his Quidditch jersey ruffled. The girls watched as he was tugged back by an unknown hand behind the statue of Rowena. They laughed at his resolve, clearly his search for a more steady relationship had been paused in favour of victory celebrations. Though they decided logically maybe the girl was a better choice. Surely a library indicated better character then a broom cupboard?

Just as they were about to turn their attention away, Scor stepped out into view again, laughing in the perfect way he did.

He had hold of the hand again, this time coaxing the girl out.

She seemed to resist and the girls wondered who it was that was too shy to be seen with Scorpius Malfoy. They all kept watching, shamelessly, all thinking of teasing him about it later.

He stopped pulling her and angled his face downwards, seeming to give her a provocative look. He laughed again, obviously at whatever response she'd made and just signalled for her to come out with his index finger. He smirked, and just as she stepped out, a slightly tipsy couple danced in front of Roxanne's view.

Scarlett and Ari gasped and Roxanne jumped up to try and see. The couple danced out of the way again in time for her to see Scorpius and her cousin, Rose kissing passionately by the bottom of the dorm stairs. After a few shocked seconds of staring, Roxanne blinked and turned to her friends who looked just as surprised as she was.

"Rox, are you okay?" Scar asked, softly.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" she asked Scarlett back, trying her best to sound indifferent.

"Roxy, you're crying" Scarlett told her, concerned.

Roxanne wiped her face and felt the tears. She looked down at her jersey and as she blinked, wet spots began to form on it.

She couldn't stop crying.

"Why are you crying, Roxanne?" she asked again.

"I don't know. I...I- I...can't 's something wrong with me!"

"I think you know why Roxanne. We all know why" Arianna told her.

The tears were blurring her vision, Roxanne wiped at her eyes to look at Ari.

She couldn't see her properly.

The tears were still pouring out, Rox still couldn't see. But she needed to, she wanted to ask Arianna what she meant.

Roxanne didn't know.

Why did Ari think she knew?

What should she know?

But when she opened her eyes, they were gone.~

Roxanne's vision was no longer blurred by tears. Instead it was filled with blue. The blue of her canopy. The view she had if she woke up on her back in bed.

She'd been dreaming she was back at the post-match party.

The post-match party that had happened two weeks ago, where in actual fact Logan had left early to not cause any trouble, but Scorpius hadn't snogged her cousin (not that she saw, at least). Roxanne shrugged the dream off and put it down to the conversation she'd had with Scarlett before bed, as Scar had only just heard about Scorpius and Rose's New Year's Kiss, so had been talking about it before they went to sleep.

Though, for a dream that was random, Roxanne's mind didn't want to let it go. That morning all Roxanne could wonder was what dream-Ari had been about to say. Why was dream-her crying so much over Scor and Rose? Granted, the idea of them made her a little repulsed, but she'd never cry. Her mental questions were just as unanswered as they had been in the dream. She had to force herself to think of something else instead. Though the topic her traitorous mind came up with wasn't much of a welcome distraction.

Valentine's Day.

It was Valentine's Day in two days. Usually, that wouldn't mean a thing to Roxanne. She'd just scrunch up her face at the mention of it, and ignore all the repulsive PDA going on over the school. This year though, she had been secretly excited about her first one in a relationship. Well, to begin with.

After the first day thinking about it, she began to over think it- as she tended to do- and with her excitement, also came worry. And nervous-not-entirely-pleasant butterflies; Logan had something planned, he'd hinted as much, but Roxanne worried that it would all be too intense, and too much.

In fact, she had dreamed about it too, more of a nightmare actually, where Logan had organised this wonderful picnic under a Non-Whomping, Whomping Willow for the date. It had started off great, somehow he'd known all of Rox's favourite foods and they'd talked about Muggle literature (which non-dream Logan knew nothing of). But then he led her to the shrieking shack. In the dream it wasn't a shack anymore, it was a house, and when they walked inside, Roxanne was in a wedding dress and Logan was in a suit. They followed a trail of candles that led to what Roxanne assumed to be the master bedroom. With every step closer, bits of her dress fell off behind her, but she couldn't stop walking. By the time they reached the room, Roxanne was nothing more than in lacy black lingerie. Logan had smiled at her and asked her if she was ready for their honeymoon to begin.

She'd woken up screaming at that one, having to lie to Scarlett and Ari that she was being attacked by Trolls instead.

The truth was much too embarrassing.

So, naturally, she'd discussed it with Liv.

It wasn't hard to work out Roxanne was worrying about sex with Logan. And whether or not he would expect it from her. They'd been dating since November so it was coming up to three months. Wasn't that a marker of some kind?

Roxanne had told Liv downright she wasn't ready for that yet, Liv had agreed that she wasn't either. Rox was only 15 and Liv not even that yet, after all. But while Liv admitted she could imagine Lorcan being her first, Roxanne couldn't honestly say the same for Logan. At least, not with the same certainty Liv had about Lorc. That bothered her a little.

Shouldn't she know?

Olivia had assured her that Logan seemed decent enough, he didn't seem like the type to be in a relationship for all the physical stuff alone, and while Roxanne agreed, she still had doubts. Surely all guys got bored at some point? Was Logan bored yet? And would Valentine's Day be a reflection of that?~

The next morning, Roxanne woke much more normally, with no odd dreams to mull over.

At breakfast, Fred came over and squeezed in between her and Scor.

"How's your day looking tomorrow?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" she managed through the toast she'd just bitten in to.

Fred stole food from her plate as usual.

"Lessons and the like? What have you got?"
She swallowed, not sure where this was going, "Full day, Potions, DADA, Charms, Herbology et cetera. Why? What are you not telling me?"

"Well, you already know about our enterprising this year…"

"The mysterious delivery system? That you won't even tell your only little sister about?"

He nodded with a cocky smile. Taking another bite of toast instead of continuing.

"Freddie…"

"Well, Elliott just told me of a certain someone who placed an order or two"

"An order or two? You're joking"

"Nope. Be prepared to receive a hell of a lot flowers tomorrow"

Roxanne groaned. She wasn't exactly a flower type of girl.

"What flowers are they…?" she asked. Hoping there was a bright side and that Logan had remembered what her favourite flowers were.

Freddie bit back a snigger.

"Uh oh.." Liv began from her other side, leaning over more having heard what they were talking about.

"Well, to his credit. He knew you hated lilies. So he didn't get them. But then he asked for Elliott's advice. And you know El, he's not exactly the best advice giver out there. So he went for the most popular, the classic…"

"Roses?" she asked with hesitation.

"Roses" he confirmed with a laugh.

No beautiful sunflowers then

Scorpius snorted a bit but covered it with a cough. Olivia sipped her tea, suppressing a smile.

"Fred!" Elliott was waving him over from the exit.

He made eye contact with Roxanne and mouthed a 'sorry' with a laugh.

Fred stood and ruffled his sister's hair.

"Well, I've got last minute Charms to go and do. You have fun tomorrow" he laughed.

"Thanks for the warning I guess" she told him, not feeling very thankful.

"So… Roses" Scorpius said after Fred left.

Olivia laughed, "Bless him for trying. I think it's sweet. Sure, having flowers rain down on my desk in the middle of a lesson isn't exactly my kind of romance…"

"Or Rox's for that matter" Scorpius added.

"But" Liv continued, "That doesn't mean it isn't lovely and thoughtful"

Roxanne laughed, "I know it's lovely and I do think it's sweet. But part of me is still dreading it… You don't think they'll actually rain down do you?"
"They might, knowing your brother." Scor chuckled, still clearly amused, "Just watch they don't fall in any potions. Rose petals are the worst"

"Why?"
"Oh, have you not got to that yet? It's in the OWL texts. Rose petals make potions really volatile, and depending on what you're making, they're actually quite dangerous as an ingredient to slip in."

"Ugh, OWL talk" Olivia groaned and turned back to her food.
"I have Potions tomorrow, that sounds fantastic"

He nudged her, "Hey, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful day, with your amazing boyfriend, and a grand total of zero potions will blow up in your faces"

"That started off really nice and genuine but you just couldn't keep it up, could you?" she said, mock disappointed in him.

"As tempted as I am to make a joke about me actually being very good at keeping it up, I shall refrain. But no really, it will be fine; I was about seventy percent genuine."

"By telling me you were going to make the joke, you're essentially making it. And aw, thanks, impressed it was as high as seventy. What's the other thirty?"

"Hm, I'd say twenty percent sarcasm. Five percent sass and five percent jealousy"

"Jealousy?" she asked quietly.

Why would he be jealous of the idea of her and Logan's Valentine's Day?

"Yeah. It's Valentine's day tomorrow and I am single. "

Of course he wasn't jealous of them specifically, stupid.

"Oh you poor thing, how will your tongue cope with the absence of another?"
"Precisely!" he agreed, making her laugh, "This is exactly like that Muggle play you made me read" he said, almost thoughtfully.

"Romeo and Juliet?" she laughed, "Do enlighten me how, this is at all, like that"

"Well, basically, when he thinks she's dead he realises how depressing Valentine's is going to be, and like no one else wants him by this stage, because they all realise he's kind of an idiot for getting with the enemy, so he kills himself rather than be shunned and single."

"I think you might be reading that a bit differently to everyone else. For one, you are not being shunned, just because you haven't currently got a girl on your arm. And second, being single isn't that bad. "

"I don't have girls on my arm Rox." he grinned cheekily, "They do no good working on your arm, they're much better placed on my-"
"I swear to Merlin, I will hex off, whatever the next word out of your mouth is"

"Actually I was going to say they're much better on my right hand side so I can cuddle them close and take care of them" he said innocently putting an arm around her shoulder and playfully bringing her into his side. "You wouldn't want to hex off my entire right hand side now would you?"

She laughed a little and elbowed him in the ribs, "You really are a master of bullshit, aren't you?"

"Yep" he grinned.

"Well, I'm sure bullshit is attractive to someone" she poked her tongue out at him, "But until then, like I said, it's not that bad to be single" she laughed a little.

He chuckled back but then sighed, "It is when it's Valentine's Day and you're constantly reminded how alone you are and what you're missing out on"

Roxanne raised a brow. "What percentage of that was genuine?"
"If you're going to take the piss; only forty. If not, ninety"

"I wouldn't take the piss, if you were serious"
"Okay, well maybe looking back eighty percent serious"

She hummed to herself in thought, as she took another bite of toast.
"Well, if you're not sick of watching everyone make out by the end of the evening I do have a Transfig. essay that I need to go over. Maybe you could help me?"

"Oh, Merlin. Roxanne no. Honestly, just- no"

She looked back at him a little deflated and even a little bit hurt, "It was just an idea"
"I don't mean it like that." He said quickly, "Just, it almost sounded like a pity offer, and that would just make my situation worse. If you were single too, I'd so be up for Transfiguration theory but, you'll be busy tomorrow, don't waste your time offering to spend time with me. Don't worry, I've got loads to do anyway"

She shrugged it off, "Okay, makes sense"

She didn't sound convinced, "We can go over it the day after though?" he offered, "I don't want to take up your time tomorrow"

She nodded again, less upset that he'd been so quick to say no.

"That'd be great" ~

McGonagall must be fuming. Well, fuming or on the edge of a mental breakdown. At least, that's what Roxanne imagined the Headmistress would be when she got word of her brother, Elliott, and James' mysterious Valentine's gift delivery system.

It wasn't special owls, the gifts weren't just charmed to float to their recipients, they didn't even come in on the back of animals- it was elves. The Hogwarts House Elves. Somehow, the three seventh years had managed to utilise the Elves for the day. They'd even managed to get the little creatures to dress up in white, red and pink. Throughout the day, the elves would apparate into a classroom, directly in front of the intended person, throw heart shaped confetti over them, and lay their gift on their desk.

Needless to say, the professors were having a hard time of keeping focus on the lesson as sudden bursts of house elf and confetti filled the room every ten to fifteen minutes or more frequently depending on who was in the class.

Roxanne had been showered by confetti exactly three times so far today. Once in each lesson she'd had since the start of the day. The first time had been mortifying, mostly because she'd half jumped out of her chair when the house elf had popped up suddenly. Also because it was her Uncle Neville's lesson; and he'd given her a slightly raised eyebrow at the small bunch of red roses left behind.

Olivia had, as a best friend does, giggled at Roxanne and her flushed face while the rest of the class stared, until thankfully a second explosion of confetti bought their attention elsewhere. By the time her fourth lesson of the day rolled around, Roxanne was laughing at every confetti shower and thanked every house elf that bought her yet more roses.

She still despised the flowers that shared their name with her least favourite cousin, but she kept them all the same, because Logan had specifically gone to the trouble of asking her sort of older brother to take an order from him. Just to please her. Sure it was cringey, and really over the top, and as Scor had pointed out, not her kind of romance, but it was the thought that counted. And by the time she was in her fifth lesson, sitting next to her boyfriend, she had a huge smile on her face because he had been so thoughtful.

It pleased her when Logan said no House Elves would be delivering her roses for that particular lesson. She had been a bit worried about the confetti falling in their potion anyway. She'd never ruined a potion thus far, she didn't plan on mucking one up now.

Halfway through the lesson, a House Elf popped into the room, one desk in front of them. Roxanne didn't pay much attention as Florence gushed, at the beautiful mixed bouquet laid before her. She did however, pay a little bit more attention when Florence turned around and showed the flowers to them.

"Oh, these are so beautiful, don't you think?" she seemed to be addressing them both. Then she turned specifically to Rox. "Did Scorpie tell you he had planned this? I mean I heard he'd wanted me back but…"

"I'm pretty sure they're not from Scor" Roxanne told her bluntly. In fact, she would bet on it.

"Well who else would they be from?" she asked aloud, with a little chuckle.
"Yeah, who else would be crazy enough to send you flowers?"
Florence ignored that comment. "Must be some random admirer then I guess. You haven't got any idea have you Logan?" she asked, suddenly fixing her gaze on Roxanne's boyfriend instead.

"Not a clue, Florence. Why would I have?"
"Well, I do know how the Slytherin boys like to talk…"
"I guess I'm not that much of a Slytherin boy then. I've not heard any of the supposed talk"

"Ah shame. I guess I'll just have to muddle through and find out myself then. You never know, maybe I'll bump into him one starry night" she gave him a lingering look and turned back around, flicking her hair over her shoulder as she did so.

Roxanne looked at her boyfriend with an expression that was undoubtedly confused.

"What the hell was that about?" she whispered at him.

Logan was still looking at the back of Florence, not as confused looking as she expected he'd be.

"No idea" he shrugged.

He's lying. Roxanne thought, but she had no idea why he would be.

Logan quickly reached across her, and put the last ingredient into their potion, and stirred three times as directed. Within five minutes, Slughorn has returned to the class from whatever ghostly business he'd had to attend to and Roxanne and Logan had finished their potion. They bottled it, handed it in and were allowed to leave.

Logan had a little smirk on his face as he tugged her hand towards the door. She rolled her eyes at him but followed all the same. That was, until a House Elf apparated in her path and threw confetti over her. The little Elf, in a small white and pink suit, handed her a perfectly sized bouquet of sunflowers and irises. Roxanne covered her shock and thanked the Elf, taking larger steps toward the door, wanting to be out of the class now that she could feel people looking.

She heard Slughorn chuckle behind her, "A wonderful exit for a wonderful student!"

She groaned, ducked her head and left the room.

Just around the corner, out of earshot of their class, Roxanne laughed in spite of how embarrassed she'd been and whirled on her boyfriend. She threw her arms around his neck and tiptoed to kiss him. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her back.

"You are ridiculous" she told him, pulling away enough to look at those sparkly green eyes of his.

He'd known her favourite flowers all along!

"Why's that?"

"You told me I wouldn't be getting any more flowers from you!"
"You weren't… Those aren't from me"
She was about to playfully protest but the look on his face told her he was telling the truth.

"They're not?"

Lucky she hadn't mentioned they'd been the best bunch so far then...

"No… you picked them up like you knew who they were from, I assumed you were going to tell me"

"Yeah, because I thought they were from you"

"So you have no idea otherwise?"
"Not a clue"

"Oh… well that's weird. You know what the solution to this is don't you?" a small smirk overcame him.
"What's that?"

"I'm going to have to kiss you in public more often. Clearly there's someone around who doesn't know you're mine"

He pulled her closer and she giggled, "I don't recall being an object that could be owned"

"Really? Because I signed a contract and everything"

She laughed at that, and kissed him softly on the lips.
She pulled away when the bell rang and he groaned.

"I really am going to have to get you to stop doing that" he said, nudging her a little so she knew it was a joke.

"If you can get everyone to stop coming out of their classes when the bell rings then I might stop"

"Is that your way of saying you'd like to be alone with me?" he asked cheekily, putting his arm around her shoulder.

She laughed and nudged him back, "We'll see"~

It was gone eleven thirty when Roxanne walked into the Ravenclaw Library. Olivia was still with Lorcan, probably in his room by now, getting up to goodness knows what. Lysander, was being the dutiful nice brother and had taken Lorcan's prefect rounds for him, foiling Elliott's plan to keep his little sister's boyfriend busy Valentine's night. None of the other prefects would notice the difference provided Lysander didn't speak much.

Roxanne didn't know where the rest of her friends were, but she didn't want to go back to the dorm right now. She assumed Scarlett and Ari might be awake still, and didn't really want to talk about Logan with them just yet.

Roxanne made her way through the shelves of fiction the Ravenclaw library had. These books weren't property of the school, but were ones that Ravenclaws left for each other.

She ran her fingers over the spines. She herself had read a good few of these, donated a fair amount too.

She picked out one with a battered looking spine. Her Aunt Hermione always said that indicated one of two things, either, someone not to be trusted, because never trust a book-abuser. Or a really good book; the wear coming from decades of reading. Given she was in a Ravenclaw library, and the value the Eagles had for their books, she assumed the latter.

She trudged over to her part of the library, towards the back, where she usually conjured an armchair, only, when she reached the slightly darkened corner she squeaked a little with surprise to find it occupied.

Scorpius was in the same armchair she would usually conjure, his legs hanging over the edge, holding a just as battered book in his hands. ~

Scorpius looked up in the direction of the noise. He fought the urge to smirk at having frightened her a bit.

"Great minds, huh?" he said, as she recovered from her little fright, nodding to the similarly bedraggled book in her hands.

"I didn't think anyone would be here now"
"I thought I'd leave the dorm free for Toby"

"Ah, I see. You mean Zach still hasn't told him how to get past the staircases?"
"No. not yet, he won't tell any of us how he spends the night with Em. I'm beginning to think that he gets turfed out, and sleeps on the common room sofas"
She laughed, and he shifted over, using his wand to extend the chair. It was so automatic that she'd share with him. he never even thought of conjuring a second chair for her.

She sat down, "Isn't Em a prefect?"
"Um, possibly, why?"
"Female prefect dorms might not have the same wards and stuff on them. That could be how he does it"

"That, is a very good explanation. I'll have to ask him"

"So, what are you doing here?"
"I'm waiting for the girls to fall asleep"
He chuckled, "Why?"
"I don't really want to gossip about this evening. I know I'll get twenty questions from Ari"
"Why? Did something happen?"
"No, nothing in particular. Which is what they'll be disappointed in" she laughed.

"Oh. So, nothing illegal then I take it?"
"Illegal?"
"Well, you are underage. Both of you. Technically, it's not legal"

She rolled her eyes fighting back a blush, "No nothing illegal. We did talk about it though"

"Oh?" he tried not to sound too interested.

"He wasn't-" Scor began then stopped as the awkwardness of what he was about to ask hit him.

"No, Scor. He wasn't expecting it. It was me, I was worried he would" she blurted the last bit out, and Scor sensed she hadn't intended to admit that.

"And how did he respond to that?" he carried on, not wanting her to feel embarrassed, despite how cute she was when her ears got red.
"He said he wasn't like that. That he'd wait for as long as I wanted him to…" she hesitated.

"That's good. Right? Don't you think he cares about you?"
"No I do. I think he cares quite a lot but it's just… I can't see myself being ready for a good while. I'm not as advanced... As some of the other girls my age. Like, surely he says he'd wait, but saying it and-"
"You're worried he means he'll wait a few months but you think you'll need longer?"
"Yeah. Maybe… Oh, I don't know"

"Rox, maybe he means it. Don't assume the worst. If it was me, I'd wait years if I had to"

"You'd really wait years to have sex with your girlfriend?" she laughed, a little sceptical. That didn't sound like a very 'guy' thing to do.

"if I had someone like you, yeah" Merlin he might as well profess his feelings right now.

"What do you mean, someone like me?"
"You said you think he cares a lot. I just mean, if there was someone I cared about a lot. I'd wait" Nice cover up, Scor
She was silent for a while.

"Honestly?"
"Yeah, Rox. I would, it's not about sex all the time, at least I don't think so. It's about the connection you have with someone. Just being near them would be enough, being able to hang out with them, and comfort them and know they were yours? That would be enough for me if they weren't ready"

"And how would you know when they were? Ready, I mean. How would they?"
"Roxanne, you realise you're asking a virgin how he would know when he was ready to have sex" he laughed a little, her cheeks reddened a bit.

"Yeah, but you're nowhere near as hopelessly clueless as I am"

"I don't think you're clueless, Roxanne. You're just over-thinking things, like always. I think you know. You know yourself. And you know that when the right time, and the right person comes along. You'll know you're ready"

"So, the reason you're still a virgin is because you haven't found the right person?"

"I've never had the right person. Plus, there's something about girls wanting to get into your pants because of some other girl's made up story that's a little off-putting"
"You mean, you were scared you wouldn't really live up to your own legend?" she teased, putting air quotes around 'legend'.

"I'm perfectly comfortable in the belief that I will do just fine on my first time thank you very much"

"Yeah. Just get someone as inexperienced as you and they won't know the difference"

"That's a little rude." He laughed with her, "but no, I'd never do that. It wouldn't be fair"

"Why not?"
"I'd ruin them for all other men. They'd be fated to have unsatisfactory sex from then on. No one would ever live up to me. That's a curse to live with"

"You're pretty confident for a guy who's never done the deed"

"Maybe I have, maybe your cousin is less of a liar than you think" he winked. She punched him, it just made him laugh, he loved seeing her a little riled up.

"Too soon to make that joke?"
"Yes. It's disgusting"

"Sorry" he laughed.

"You're not."

"You're right."~

"Alright then, Miss Weasley, start spilling"

Roxanne groaned a little and rolled her eyes. She knew they'd catch up with her at some point but she had hoped that it would be later rather than sooner.

Arianna grinned at her smugly and bit into a slice of toast. Roxanne sighed and began to talk. ~

As Roxanne sat in DADA, she knew she hadn't gotten away with a thing. She'd given Ari and Scarlett the most vague, rushed through version of yesterday's events she could before leaving breakfast hastily saying she'd left her OWL essay in the dorm and needed it for first lesson. And she knew that neither girl would take that as a good enough recital of the day. They were out for details and they would get them out of her, as they always did.

She stared at the front of the mostly empty class. Only she and a few other students were in the room as leaving breakfast early had made her early for her lesson.

She jumped a little when hands encircled her waist but leaned back with a small smile to the chest behind her, it still sometimes shocked her when he did this, but it was quite nice. And she didn't mind it when the classroom was pretty much empty and no one was looking their way; had it been fuller she probably would have swatted him away. Logan mumbled that she looked adorable this morning (her hair was up in two buns either side of her head, she assumed it was that), and kissed her neck softly before walking to his designated seat, a few desks ahead of her.

She watched him a little distractedly. He wasn't wearing a jumper this morning, and his shirt was rolled up to his elbows. She could see the strong muscles of his back through the white fabric, they flexed as he got his textbooks out of his bag and tied his tie, something she had noticed he always did in his first lesson of the day, never in his dorm- early or not. When he finished the back of his shirt collar was a little crooked, and Roxanne was about to get up and tell him to fix it, because it bothered her a little, but the Professor walked in so she pretended she'd stood to adjust her skirt and sat back down.

That lesson, Roxanne noticed Florence throwing a few suspicious looks in her direction. She just rolled her eyes and ignored Scorpius' ex but the sly smiles she then got made Roxanne a little nervous. After Florence's weird interaction with them the day before, she wondered what was coming next. Her face looked as though she knew something, and that made her seem dangerous.

At the end of what was a fairly complicated DADA theory lesson, Roxanne took extra time to make sure her notes were filed in order. Logan came to stand by her as the rest of the class filed out. Roxanne also noted one other person lingering.

Just as she was closing her bag, and she and Logan went to leave the room, Florence called out from behind them.

"Hey, Weasley!"

Roxanne turned, even though Logan pulled slightly on her hand, he seemed to want to leave as much as she did but Roxanne wasn't going to let Florence send her running anywhere.

"What do you want now?"
"I just wanted to ask if you had a nice night last night" she smiled deviously but was looking directly at Logan, not Roxanne.

"It was just fine thanks" Roxanne rolled her eyes and turned to leave.

"Wow. You must be a hard one to please, one would think spending hours alone with Scorpius Malfoy was better than just 'fine'"

"Don't tell me your still pining after Scorpius? Really Florence, you'd think a girl like you could get over a guy like him better than this?"
This time, Roxanne turned fully and walked away with Logan still holding her hand, though Roxanne noted there was less of a grip from him now.~

Roxanne's final lesson of the day had been double potions with a slightly sulky seeming Logan, as per usual they had finished their potion ahead of the rest of the class. Mostly because Roxanne had read ahead and looked at the instructions in the book her Uncle Harry had given her on how to make it best. Slughorn let them go early, with the work for the next hour's lesson rather than wait for the rest of the class to finish.

Roxanne was with Logan in the Slytherin common room, and they were doing the work Slughorn had just set them.

Logan had been distracted all day, since Florence had made her comment actually. Roxanne was waiting for him to ask what she meant. It was clearly bothering him. But every time she asked if something was wrong, he just responded that he was tired, and changed the subject.

She asked him a question for the second time, and when he didn't respond she slapped his thigh gently. He looked up.

"What was that for?!"

"Not paying attention"

"I can't spend every second in anticipation of something you might ask me Roxanne"

"Then just ask me what it is you want to, Logan"

The common room was empty but it was in the middle of a lesson and everyone else who had a free was probably enjoying the rare nice winter's day, so it made sense. They would have been outside too, had grumpy Logan wanted to be in the sunshine.

"What?"
"You clearly want to know what Florence meant this morning. So ask me"

"I don't know what you're talking about"

"Yes you do"

"Fine. What did Florence mean by you spending hours with Malfoy last night? Because you left me saying you wanted to sleep, and you sure as hell didn't deny what she said"

"I wanted to go to sleep but then I realised Arianna and Scarlett would still be awake and I really didn't want to be quizzed by them on how I'd spent my Valentine's evening, so I went to the library to read. Scor was already there reading. We chatted for a while and then read for an hour or so, then I went to bed and so did he. Florence didn't deserve any explanation from me, So I didn't deny anything."

"What did you talk about?"
"I can't remember" there was no way she could actually tell him that.

"why does it matter?"

"It doesn't I guess… I just, I don't know. I'm sorry, I know there wouldn't have been anything else with him but maybe it bothers me a little that you talk so much. That you spend so much time with him"

"Does it bother you that I talk to Olivia?"
"Obviously not"
"Or Lysander?"
"Well… I don't like him but no"

"So then it shouldn't bother you that I talk to Scor. He's my friend just as much as they are. Friends talk Logan."

"Yeah but he's not just your friend. He likes you Roxanne. I can tell. I mean, I can't blame the guy. You're amazing, and funny and fantastic to stare at all day" he winked and she smiled a little, "But he likes you, and I don't know. He's so touchy feely with you. Sometimes it gets to me."

"Touchy feely?" she raised a brow.
"Fine, not touchy feely. But he does sit close to you, and put his arm around you quite a lot. And you're the same with him"

"That's because we've been friends for years, Logan. It doesn't mean he likes me, it's just how we've always been."

"Okay, let's say for arguments sake he does like you-"
"Which he doesn't" she coughed.

He huffed a little and she smiled innocently, "go on"

"Say he likes you. You sitting near him, letting him put his arm around you. Staying up to chat and read with him late at night? That's going to make him think you like him back. Here's my issue, if he starts to think that, eventually, he's going to make a move. At which point, I'm going to have to do something about it"

"Okay there are so many things wrong with that. First, he doesn't like me. Second, if he did, he knows I like you, and that I'm in a relationship with you there's no way Scor would ever make a move on me because of that. He knows I'm not the type of girl to kiss one guy while she's dating another, I'm not a cheat. He also knows me well enough to know that all of the stuff you mentioned isn't me flirting or something either. It's just how I am with my friends, you could put the twins, or Liv or Scarlett or Ari into those situations and nothing would be unusual about it. Also, if he did ever make a move on me, it wouldn't be your job to do something. It would be mine. No way are you two ever fighting"

"You can't blame a guy for wanting to defend his girlfriend."

"And you can't blame a girl for not being happy with the idea of her one of her friends and her boyfriend fighting"

"Even if that friend had tried to kiss you?"
"Even then"

He looked annoyed.

"Buuuutt… that won't ever happen. Trust me Logan, I know Scor. I know the kind of girls he likes and how he gets them, reading with them in the library is not Scorpius Malfoy flirting strategy. You have nothing to worry about"

"Maybe he realises you're not just any girl. You're special Roxanne." He told her solemnly. "You can't expect me to not worry there are people trying to steal you away"

"I'm not going to be stolen away." She told him, just as sincerely.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because you're too cute when you're jealous"

"I'm not jealous"

"Oh you are. And I only just realised that's what this is. It's adorable"

"I don't get jealous" he insisted.

"Really, so if I went out now and sat on Scor's lap in the Ravenclaw common room now, how would you feel?"

"Angry and like beating him up"

She ignored the last part, "Because…?" he was silent and she urged him again.

"Because I'm jealous" he muttered almost incomprehensibly.

"Good. Well you're jealous and I'm sorry, I didn't realise it bothered you. I won't be as physically close to Scor from now on if that bothers you. But I'm not going to stop talking to him, because we are good friends Logan and he doesn't like me"

"I know he's your friend, but that doesn't mean he sees you the same way you see him."

"I assure you he doesn-"

"Roxanne. We have spent more time talking about Malfoy today than I care to imagine. I'd much rather be talking about something else"

"Oh really, like what?"

"Like Potions!" he told her waving a bit of parchment he'd been writing on in front of her face. She laughed and took it from him, holding it out to the side. He reached it easily, being taller than her and put it back on the table, he then pulled her to him so she was sitting sideways on his lap.

"Then again, we could always leave the potions for a while…"
"Hmm, I thought you just wanted to get it done?"

"There are more important things"

She gasped loudly as if genuinely shocked.

"Not more important than potions?!"

He leaned in so close that her eyes went fuzzy when she tried to focus on his face. His arms around her tightened as he pulled her further up his lap he left one hand resting around her waist and the other cradled her face. he held back from actually kissing her though.

"Would you rather be doing potions right now?"

"Of course" she joked as she closed the distance between them.~

A/N:

Weeelll, I hope you liked it at least!

I'm sorry there was so much thoughts and so little dialogue. I'm also sorry Scor and Rox still aren't together :(

But soon my pretties! We're getting there! Next chap it a teeny one, and has no Roxanne in at all, but it should be up within the week!

Anyway, let me know what you thought about this one!

Love you lots,
