Jewel's Guilt Revealed
Yes ladies and gentlemen…so begins chapter 19! But not only that…you can tell by the chapter that this won't exactly be a humoured chapter like the others have been! It's time to get a bit more serious! 'But why RDJ? Why so serious?' How about instead of telling you…I'll show you! Here…we…go!
Everyone in the club fell completely silent, as all eyes fell upon the new bird in the room. The girls in the club stared at him, most of them in awe while fantasising about him. Others like Tanya, Jewel, Lexi and Leona were staring in surprise.
"No…it's…it's not happening! I…I thought you were d-dead?" Jewel stuttered while staring at the muscular blue macaw, tearing up slightly in the process.
"No Ju-Ju, it's really me! It's me…Roberto!" Roberto spoke smoothly while approaching the blue macaw female. He was only inches away from her, and Blu stood by her side shaking with rage. He grabbed her left wing in his and rubbed it softly. "I can't believe you're still alive?! I've never stopped searching for you!"
Blu was really really agitated inside while shaking even more. He clenched both of his wings into fists, but Tanya grabbed his left wing to calm him down. It helped a little, but not a lot.
"I thought I would never see you again? I thought that when the Amazon was attacked…you like everyone else would be gone!" Jewel cried while approaching the blue male slowly. Making Blu even angrier at this moment, but Tanya then grabbed both of his wings.
"I swear to god if he touches my wife!" Blu whispered to Tanya, shaking violently like a ticking time bomb. The hyacinth female did everything she could to put his mind at ease. But neither of them were prepared for what was about to happen!
"Relax Blu ok? It's not like she's going to do…" As soon as Tanya said this, Roberto leaned in and gave Jewel a kiss on the beak. "…anything?" This was the point that made everyone stare at Blu in horror, making the blue macaw male lose all of his self control.
"ALRIGHT! THAT IS IT!" Blu screamed as he pulled his wife out of the kiss and squared up to the other blue macaw male. "LOOK BUDDY! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR GAME IS?! BUT DON'T YOU EVER, KISS MY WIFE!" Blu threatened him while poking his wingtip against his strong chest.
"Woah woah woah! Wife? Jewel…is with you? Seriously?" Roberto responded with a scoff while looking at Blu from head to talons.
"Yes! Seriously! What is your deal? Kissing my wife like that?!" Blu bellowed at him as he took a step closer to the blue male, standing up tall to reach his height.
"Well excuuuuuse me hot shot? Can't a guy kiss his former fiancée?"
As soon as Roberto said this, the entire club gasped in shock while staring at Jewel who started tearing up and she looked at the floor in shame.
"Your…w-w-what? Your fiancée?" Blu growled angrily while turning around to face his wife who looked away from him. "Jewel? What is he talking about?"
Jewel wiped away the tears that were rolling down her cheeks, but the tears in her eyes still remained. "Well…I…I was going to tell you…"
"Tell me what? What were you about to tell me?!" Blu sternly spoke to his wife who started backing away from the both of them.
"Do I have to spell it out for you buddy? Me and Ju-Ju, we were engaged to be married in the Amazon! Then when the loggers came, we got separated! Now that I've found her again, she still is technically my fiancée! So you, technically need to fuck off!" Roberto threatened him while standing even taller, flexing his muscles. Making some of the girls in the club swoon while others just looked at Blu, fearing for him.
"Well you are too late aren't you?! Because she's married to me! You lost your chance!"
"Oh? Is that so?" Roberto scoffed again while slowly stepping towards the irritated blue male while clenching one of his wings into a fist.
"Yes! So I suggest you get your pretty little backside out of here! Otherwise you're going to regret it!" Blu stepped too close towards him while pointing his wingtip at him in a threatening manner.
"I'm sorry…are you threatening me?" He scoffed again as he gave Blu a little shove backwards into Tanya and Nightfly who caught him.
"I don't know, scared to take me on plastic boy?!" Blu screamed back while getting into a fighting stance.
"Plastic…what now?" Roberto cocked his head to the side in confusion, while crossing his wings.
"Basically it means you're a fake! Acting all tough and muscular when in reality you are nothing!" Blu insulted him while looking at him dead in the eye.
Soon the whole club gasped and whispers filled the room, as this moment started to rise in tension.
"Oh…that is it! BRING IT ON YOU BASTARD!" Roberto screeched as he immediately punched Blu directly on the beak, making him stumble backwards a little bit into Tanya.
"BLU! Are you ok?" She screamed in concern while looking down at her friend with widened eyes. However, the blue male slowly got back up to his feet with the help of Nightfly and Sandro.
Blu wiped his face and noticed a little blood coming out of his nose. This made him growl in anger and pretty soon he decided to hurdle himself towards him, tackling the muscular bird to the ground.
Punches were thrown back and forth, followed by groans and screams with every blow. Causing both birds to have blood coming out of their noses, as well as having bruises on their faces.
"KICK HIS ASS BLU!" Malcom cheered his friend on as he saw Blu throwing a few punches at him. However he received a hard slap from his girlfriend who shook her head in disappointment.
"COME ON BLU! BEAT HIS PRETTY LITTLE FACE OFF!" Sandro joined in as the others kept cheering Blu on while the fight was going on.
"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" The birds chorused as Blu picked up a bottle and smashed it over Roberto's head. But Roberto then picked up a stool and threw it at the blue male.
Jameson sighed deeply in annoyance, and decided that enough was enough! So he had to do the one thing that he thought he wouldn't have to do.
"I've had enough of this bullshit!" Jameson spoke to nobody in particular as he made his way over to one of the closets, and took an object from inside one of them.
Roberto immediately got Blu in a headlock, but Blu using his quick thinking stomped on his talon twice so he'd let go.
"OW! THAT ALL YOU GOT?!" Roberto shouted as he went to smack him with his left wing, only to receive a smack on his talon by a…baseball bat? "AHHHH!" He screamed in pain, falling down next to Blu who both looked up to see Jameson staring at them angrily, as the club fell into silence again.
"HEY! CUT IT OUT! BOTH OF YOU!" Jameson screamed as he pointed his bat towards both of them as they cowardly backed off in fear. "You two need to sort your shit out! Jewel is married to Blu! Nothing can change that! You…Roberto is it? You were too late! You are too late! And you Blu…shame on you! Fighting like that in front of your children! Is this the kind of example you want to be setting for your kids?"
"Wait? You have your own kids with her?" Roberto looked at Blu in shock, while the blue male squinted in pain, nodding his head as a yes. "Well why didn't you say anything? If I had known you had kids with her…I wouldn't have done anything!"
"R-R-Really?" Blu croaked while being pulled up to his feet by the stronger male.
"Of course! I might be Jewel's former boyfriend but there are boundaries! I did say to her if she ever loved anyone else, and had kids together, I wouldn't get in the way! Then again we were in love back then so I thought that would never happen!" Blu chuckled with him when he heard what he said and patted Roberto on the shoulder. "OW! Easy on the shoulder!"
"My apologies! Even though you didn't know about us, you still shouldn't have kissed her in front of me!"
"I know, I know! But again…I didn't know you had a family with her! Wait…where is she?" Both blue males spun around and noticed that Jewel was no longer standing there.
"Guys? Where did Jewel go?" Blu asked his friends as they all pointed towards the exit.
"She went to The Christ The Redeemer statue! I think you guys need to go there together!" Rafael suggested while opening the door of the samba club. "Go and straighten this whole thing out!"
"Look, I'm sorry for making a move on Jewel like that! I thought you were her friend or something? I…I didn't know you had a family with her!"
"Roberto! It's okay…what is important now is that we find Jewel, and straighten this whole thing out as Rafael suggested!"
"Agreed! Lead the way buddy!" Roberto agreed with him, as the two of them immediately made their way out of the club and took to the skies.
The whole club then immediately went back to their conversations when the blue macaws left the scene.
As soon as the two blue macaws left, Alex turned to Jameson with a surprised look on his face. "What? Why are you looking at me like that Alex?"
"Since when do you use a baseball bat?" He asked curiously while staring at the mini wooden object.
"I don't normally! I just found it in one of those closets over there! I had to do something to stop the fight!" The black owl responded, before putting it down in the corner of the room.
"Wow…that owl is a badass!" Tiago whispered to Carla, who got another slap from Bia again. "What did I do this time?!"
"That's a bad word!" Bia yelled at him while looking at her brother angrily. However, Leona couldn't help but laugh at this cute moment.
"Pft! You've said worse!" Leona giggled to herself while staring at the blushing female chick.
Meanwhile…On The Statue…
Jewel sat there, crying her eyes out while staring at the city's beautiful lights. She couldn't stop worrying, because she didn't want Blu to leave her! But she also didn't want Roberto to leave forever!
"I am such an idiot! How could I not tell Blu about something as big as this? I should have been honest with him! I wouldn't be surprised if he does decide to leave me!" The blue female cried while rocking back and forth on her talons.
"Leave you? Why would I leave you?" Jewel quickly looked up to see Blu, who had bruises on his face, and a blood stain on his nose.
"Blu? Did you…did you…" Jewel stuttered while wiping the blood away from his nose. "Did you kill him?"
"What?! No I didn't kill him? Why would you assume that?" Blu replied confused while wiping away the tears in her eyes.
"I…I don't know! Look…please honey! I know this is a big deal! But…please don't leave me! I can't lose you! I love you so so much!" Jewel cried again as she buried her face in his chest feathers, drenching his chest feathers in tears.
"You're not going to lose me Jewel! Me and Roberto threw a few punches, then we got to talking and now, I just want both of you to tell me EXACTLY what happened, before you came to Rio?" Blu calmly responded as he wrapped his wings around her warmly. Giving her a kiss on her forehead.
"W-What do you mean by both of us?" Jewel asked unsurely at first, but then she noticed Roberto landing behind Blu. "Beto! You're ok!"
"It's ok Ju-Ju! Look, Blu just wants us to be honest with him! After all, he did tell me about his daughter with Alice? So don't you think he deserves to know about us?" The blue male sat down on the right arm with Jewel, and Blu sat opposite them.
"So…how shall we start?" Jewel started nervously as she wiped away her remaining tears.
"Just tell me, about your relationship! I want to know every…little…detail!" Blu responded calmly while holding Jewel's wing in his.
She took a deep breath in, and deep breath out. Then she finally began telling him the truth about her deepest guilt.
"Well…it started about a year before I arrived in Rio. Me and Roberto were best friends at the time, and my father was the leader of the tribe. Roberto was training to be his successor, and as the tribe leaders daughter, we saw a lot of each other!" Jewel began slowly while wiping the rest of her tears away.
"So after a while, me and Jewel eventually decided to try and be boyfriend and girlfriend for a little while! It was really great! We went on romantic flights around the jungle, danced under the stars, even spent the night together. Not like sex or anything, just sleeping together!" Roberto quickly said that last part as Blu was cringing at the thought of it.
"Yeah I got that Roberto! Continue?" Blu demanded as the both of them took a deep breath.
"So after a year of dating, Eduardo, who was Jewel's father insisted that we were to be married later that day! So, we agreed to it! But then…"
"Then what, Roberto?"
"Then the loggers came! Burned our entire jungle to ash! Many of our tribe members tragically died in the fire. My father got shot by a…by…I can't! It's too painful!" Jewel cried again as Blu pulled her closer to him and wrapped his wing around her.
"Don't worry Ju-Ju, I'll finish it! Unfortunately, Eduardo was killed by a logger after he attempted to save as many birds as he could! I saw Jewel and her mother disappear into the jungle and I followed them! But when I got there…Jewel's mother sadly got killed by a flaming branch, and Ju-Ju was nowhere to be seen!"
"So what did you do?"
"I quickly got out of there as fast as I could! Me and only one other survivor made it! Everyone else tragically died in that fire! I only managed to save one!" Roberto replied sadly as he bashed his wing on the statue several times. "So I spent the last couple of years with the one survivor trying to find you! Until some drunk bird in Rio told me that he had seen a few blue spix's macaws in the samba club! So I went straight there! And here we are!" Roberto finished as Blu sat there trying to process it all. Jewel however had something else on her mind.
"Who? Who was the other survivor?" Jewel asked curiously as she rested her head on Blu's chest as he smiled at her lovingly.
"Do you remember Jacqueline? She was one of your friends growing up!"
"NO WAY! Jaqui is still alive? Where is she?" Jewel beamed excitedly as she rose to her talons.
"She's in a hollow not too far from here! Blu, you want to meet her?" Roberto offered the blue male who shrugged his shoulders slightly.
"Sure! Its always nice to meet another blue macaw like us! But…I have one last question before we go to meet her!" Blu spoke seriously as he stood up from his position and backed away a few paces.
"Sure! What's on your mind?" Roberto asked him as himself and Jewel stood up to face him.
"Jewel…do you still have feelings for Roberto?" Blu simply said to his one and only, trying not to break eye contact with her.
"What?! Of course not! No offence Beto!" Jewel responded as she approached her husband with the warmest smile she had ever had on her beak. "I love you more than anyone! You are my soul mate Blu! Nothing will change that!"
"None taken Ju-Ju, I'm just glad that you're safe! Plus now that you're married with children, we can be best friends again!" Roberto beamed as he hugged Jewel in a friendly manner.
"Yay! I got my best friend back!" She shrieked happily as Roberto put her down and she kissed Blu on the beak passionately. "But you will always be my loving husband Bluey!"
"That's great to hear you say that! I am really glad we straightened this whole thing out!" Blu beamed positively as he gave his new friend Roberto a man hug. "Now! Let's go and meet your friend!"
"Alright! Let's go then lovebirds!" Roberto happily squawked as he flapped his wings and made his way towards the hollow where his friend was waiting for him.
Blu and Jewel shared one final loving kiss, before taking off and following Roberto to the hollow where Jacqueline was.
In A Hollow Somewhere…
"ROBERTO?! ROBERTO?!" A female blue spix's macaw was laying in the nest with a bandage around one of her wings and her left talon. "Where the hell is he? He said he was going to meet an old friend…and then bring me dinner! And yet…he has not returned!"
The blue female laid there in the nest trying to keep herself busy, but when she couldn't exactly move around much it got boring for her.
"Knock knock! Jaqui? It's me, Roberto!" The blue male announced his arrival as he entered the hollow with four mangoes in his talons.
"Wow! You took all that time and you brought back four mangoes? Impressive!" Jacqueline giggled as her friend entered the hollow. "Is that for dinner and breakfast?"
"Erm…not exactly! But I do have some exciting news!" Roberto replied as he placed the mangoes on the floor.
"Did you find Jewel?" She rose a curious eyebrow while there was a spark of hope in her eyes.
"Yes! He did!" Both blue macaws turned to the entrance to see Blu and Jewel standing there with big smiles on their beaks.
"OMG! JEWEL! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Jacqueline squealed with happiness as she attempted to stand up. But luckily Jewel ran over to her to give her a warm hug.
"I can't believe it! You're still alive! I thought you were dead!" Jewel beamed happily while crying tears of happiness.
"I thought YOU were dead!" The blue female emphasised while continuing to hug her long lost close friend. She then opened her eyes and her gaze fell upon Blu who smiled at them. "And who is this handsome fella?" Jacqueline softly spoke while winking at the blue male.
"Oh! Jaqui, this is Blu! Jewel's husband!" Roberto introduced him as he stepped forward and gave her a wingshake on her good wing.
"Oh, well it's a pleasure to meet you Blu!"
"The pleasure is all mine!" Blu responded while lifting her wingtip up and kissing it briefly.
"Wow, such a gentleman! You're a lucky girl Jewel!" Jaqui giggled while blushing at the same time.
"Yeah I'm very lucky to have him! We actually have three beautiful kids as well!" Jewel responded happily while wrapping a wing around her husband.
"Wow! Really?! Can we meet them?!"
"Absolutely! You stay here, and we will bring them to you!" Blu replied as he was about to leave the hollow. But Jewel stopped him briefly.
"Actually honey, can you go and get them? I want to catch up with my old friends!" She pleaded while batting her eyelashes cutely.
"Of course my love! I'll be right back!" Blu replied as he leapt out of the hollow and flew back to the city to find his three kids.
"Now…tell me where you guys travelled to?" Jewel asked the two of them as Jewel sat in the nest opposite Jacqueline, with Roberto leaning up against the wall.
Back To The Samba Club…
Jameson and Alex were pacing up and down the stage of the club, trying not to think about the awkward occurrence that happened a little while ago.
"This is ridiculous! I can't believe Jewel was engaged to someone else before Blu!" Alex spoke with horror in his tone, however his owl friend remained pretty calm about the situation.
"Don't forget Alex, Blu has a daughter with Alice! So really, they are both guilty of their own little secrets!" He remarked while sitting down on the front of the stage.
"Yes, but surely Jewel would have been honest about this after finding out about Hazel!" Nico pointed out, while drinking at the bar with Violet.
"Well, yes that would have been the modest thing to do during the tough circumstances! But don't you forget that there wasn't exactly a good time to tell him about it when Bia got kidnapped!" Nightfly added, eating some grapes with his girlfriend. "Besides, if Jewel was really engaged to this…Roberto fella, then at least she made the decision to be with Blu in the end!"
Tanya nodded her head in agreement and took a sip from her glass of water.
"Honey? I thought when we got back home you were going to have a cointreau and lemonade? Why are you drinking water?" Nightfly asked his girlfriend as she shrugged her shoulders slightly.
"I'm just erm…not in the mood for alcohol I guess?" The hyacinth female replied as she took another sip from her drink. But then…she felt a growl in her stomach. "Ugh…ugh…will you excuse me sweetie?"
"Umm…sure?"
"Thanks!" Tanya quickly covered her beak with her wing and flew to the outside of the club as fast as she could. Leaving her boyfriend extremely confused.
"What's wrong with my girlfriend? Pedro! Did you put something in her water?" Nightfly bellowed to the cardinal who was sitting by the bar with Zara.
"No, of course not! I may be a prankster but I don't mess with people's drinks! What kind of monster do you think I am?" He responded a bit insulted by the accusations thrown at him.
"Well, why does she suddenly feel sick all of a sudden? It can't be a coincidence?"
"I'm telling you! I…didn't…do…ANYTHING!" He shouted while downing his glass of whiskey and cola.
"Baby, you might want to slow down on the drinking?" The female blue jay suggested, sliding over a glass of water. "You have to pace yourself!"
"I know babe, I know!" Pedro grumbled as he took the glass of water and swigged it slightly.
"Look everyone! Blu and Roberto have gone to talk to Jewel, and they will hopefully sort this whole mess out! Trust me, my boy knows what he's doing!" Rafael reassured the group of birds as they all suddenly turned to the entrance to see Blu arriving.
"Blu! Did you find Jewel?" Michael asked as the white hawk approached the blue male.
"Yeah, she's ok!" Blu responded happily as he looked around the club frantically. "Where are the kids Nightfly?"
"Siax and Alex offered to take them back to the beach pad while waiting for you and Jewel to come back! If you head there now, they should still be there!" Nightfly answered him while continuously staring at the door. "Wow! Eva and Tanya have been gone for a while now! I better go and find them!"
"Maybe they're at the beach pad? Come on!" Blu beamed as the two of them exited the club and took to the skies.
At The Beach Pad…
"Aunt Tanya? What's wrong?" Carla asked the older blue female as she was crying on one of the beds in the room.
"Listen kids, why don't you and Alex play outside for a little while? So that the ladies can talk?" Siax suggested to the blue macaw chicks, as they all turned to the snowy owl male who sighed in defeat.
"Alright! Come along kids! Let's play tag! You're it!" Alex said to Tiago as he tagged him with his wing. Then Alex, Carla and Bia shot out of the door while chuckling, Tiago followed suit while laughing as well.
When they left the beach pad, Siax closed the doors and Eva walked up to Tanya while she was crying into her wings.
"Hey, it's going to be alright." She soothingly spoke while rubbing her wing gently while the other wing stroked her on her back.
"How do you know? He won't understand! I know he hasn't thought about this before!" The hyacinth female sobbed, wiping away her tears.
"Sorry…what is going on here exactly?" Siax asked the two females as she approached them slowly while raising her eyebrows in concern.
The female toucan looked at Tanya with worrying eyes. "Should I tell her? Or will you?"
"Tell me what? What's going on?" Siax asked again as she sat opposite Tanya on the bed.
The hyacinth female wiped away the remaining tears that had rolled down her cheek, and she took a long and deep breath. Before sighing heavily.
"…I'm pregnant!"
Wow! I mean…what a chapter of twists and turns am I right? Roberto in Rio to find his long lost fiancée who is now married to Blu! A fight between Blu and Roberto broke out before Jameson got involved to break it up! Jewel and Roberto tell Blu exactly what happened before Jewel came to Rio! We meet Jacqueline, Jewel's long lost friend from the Amazon! And now Tanya is pregnant? I mean…when I say it's time to get serious I did really mean it! Anyway I'd like to say a massive thank you to JAQUI THE GIRL SPIX for allowing me to use her OC for this story! I also want to thank you guys for reading this chapter, and don't you worry! Chapter 20 is coming…and it is unfortunately the last chapter of this story! But fear not! I have already started writing the future sequel, so you guys won't have to wait long for that!
