Hey lovelies,

Didn't quite make it before the new year but this feels fairly quick compared to that massive gap I had before the last one! Hope you all had wonderful holidays and brought 2017 in with style! Hope your year's going great so far and a little less quickly than mine seems to be flying by!

Thank you all for the support and for sticking with me, as always extra big hugs and kisses to my reviewers:

Jily71102~

Please keep the feedback coming, and keep letting me know you're still interested - it gives me a well-needed nudge every so often and I love hearing from you.

Hope that you enjoy this chapter, things are getting steamy and starting to heat up... not long now till the moment we've all (presumably) been waiting for!

Chapter 39 – Good Morning Arguments, Bikinis and a 'Personal Touch'

"Gooooood morning, sunshine!" Lysander sung as he jumped on to the large four posted bed that Scorpius had shown Roxanne to the night before.

She was met by Lorcan's grinning face as she groaned and moved away from Ly.

She rolled her eyes- of course they'd tag-team wake her up. She slowly pushed herself up, only to roll her eyes even more at the face Scorpius was giving her from the doorway. He was leaning on one side, arms crossed over his chest, biceps visible under the thin grey tee he wore. His hair was a mess and his lazy smug grin was equal parts annoying and overwhelmingly hot. Though of course Roxanne ignored that feeling towards it and focused on how infuriating he was right now.

"Hope you're wearing PJ's Roxy" Lysander declared before pulling back the covers and jumping into bed beside her.

"Merlin, you really have no boundaries do you, brother" Lorcan questioned with a slightly raised brow.

"Stop being so high and mighty and come help me annoy Roxy dear" Lysander told his twin, who then shrugged slightly apologetically at Roxanne before grinning mischievously and jumping in the other side of her.

"I don't remember agreeing to this" Roxanne told them all, looking around her.

"I don't remember hearing them ask" Scor answered, walking toward the bed and climbing on to the end of it.

"Same way a certain someone didn't ask before Floo'ing over last night, hm?" Lorcan reminded her.

"Oh please, you guys were glad to have me"

"So glad that you bored us to sleep" Lysander retorted. Soon after following with an 'Ow' as Roxanne responded in one of her favourite ways, by punching him.

"Anyway, Scor didn't get bored to sleep so I couldn't have been that bad"

"Yeah well that's because-"

"Because I am a good host and someone needed to sober her up" he finished for Ly, giving his friend a small look that said he would pay for that later. Ly only grinned a little, the exchange between the boys going unnoticed by Roxanne. ~

"And I am grateful for that." She said seriously looking up at Scorpius, "I'm honestly so sorry I even Floo'd over in the first place. I'm such a messy drunk"

"Ha" Lorcan snorted, "You want to know messy drunk? Did we ever tell you about Scor's birthday while you were away?"

Scor felt the slightest shred of panic before he retaliated with all the Malfoy bravado he could muster. "I thought we agreed the girls didn't need information of that night, Lorc?" he paused for effect, knowing he had him, "In the same way Liv doesn't need any information about you from last Easter?" he finished with an innocent tone to his voice.

Roxanne chuckled, he felt that warm feeling he did every time she laughed at something he said, which was often. Either he was a funny guy, or Roxanne just laughed a lot. "Looks like a stalemate to me" she said with a smile.

"Unless I just tell you everything? They have nothing on me that I wouldn't mind you or Liv knowing" Ly said, winking at her.

"No? What about Callie?" Scor replied.

Ly gave him a dangerous look to which he only laughed at. He deserved for Callie to be mentioned after he'd hung his crush on Roxanne over his head with that sentence earlier.

"Ooh so LyCal is a thing?" Roxanne smiled.

"LyCal?"

"Oh yeah sorry, Liv and I named you as a couple, we're open to suggestions though" Ly rolled his eyes.

"We're not a couple, Rox"

"Yet?"

"Correction: we're not going to be a couple"

"Why?"

"None of your business"

"Lyyyy"

"Not going to work"

"Pretty please?"

"Not even the prettiest of pleases, Roxanne. There's nothing to know." He said a little dismissively, Scor smiled, they all knew there was.

"I want you to be aware that I will get all this out of you at some point" she replied confidently. Scorpius almost knew for sure that it would include some thought out questions to him. None of which he'd answer of course- he'd promised Ly he wouldn't tell the girls.

"Yeah sure, just as soon as you sit here and give us all the ins and outs of you and Logan" he told her. At the mere mention of his name Scor tensed up, suddenly not feeling so into this playful chat they were all having.

"None of you want to hear that anyway"
"Really? Why ever not?"

"Because you all hate him, for some reason"

"I don't" Lorcan put in. Scorpius neglected to deny it.

"I don't hate the boy either." Lysander said, luckily before Roxanne could turn on Scor, "I just very severely dislike him" Scor agreed inwardly.

"I still don't really understand why"

Because you're with him. He thought at her.

"He's the opposition's beater. It's only natural" Ly shrugged.

"But you don't hate Freddie. So I'm calling bullshit there"

"Fine, let's go with, he's injured you, he's a smug git, and because he doesn't like me either"

"Freddie has definitely injured me"

"Not this year, not so badly"

"You're being ridiculous"

"Not as ridiculous as your choice in boyfriend" Scorpius wanted to smack his head against a wall. Lysander was dangerously close to getting into one of those I-will-not-lose-this-argument moods. And Roxanne, well she was of that mind most of the time.

"Fine, who would you approve of then, Lysander?" she asked, Scorpius chuckled inwardly, knowing there was almost no-one that Lysander would really approve of dating Roxanne. She really was like a little sister to him. Scorpius half wished he could still see her that way but then realised he never really had.

"I don't know. Some nice, quiet, non-Quidditch playing, clever, funny fourth year"

"Logan is nice, clever and funny. And I know your issues with him aren't just because he's older than me and plays Quidditch. You just clash with him because he's more like you than you'd care to admit. If you actually got to know him I think you'd get along" She told him fiercely.

"Yeah well he wants to get to know us just as much as we want to get to know him, Rox. Why don't you tell him this?"

"You think I haven't?"

"Well what did he say then?"

"He at least told me what his real issues with you guys were, and said that he'd try to make an effort"

"Oh and what are these issues?"

"He doesn't like you because you've been nothing but stand-offish with him since the start. He doesn't like Scorpius because he thinks he's into me, and if I'm honest I don't think he minds Lorcan, when you're around for him to tell the difference- because Lorcan doesn't act like a dick"

Lorcan smiled smugly at the two of them and leaned back onto the pillows with his arms behind his head.

"Thanks for the support bro." He nodded at his twin, before turning to Roxanne, "You know, what Lorc isn't saying is that he doesn't like him either"

"I don't care if Lorcan doesn't like him either, Ly! My point is Lorcan doesn't act like an ass to him so it doesn't matter"

"So what you're saying is that I should pretend to be nice to the guy all the while hating him in my head?"
"Yes! I mean no. What I'm saying is if you just kept an open mind and made the slightest bit off effort with him then you wouldn't have to hate him in your head because I think you'd get along"

He paused as if in thought, and Scor braced himself. He knew Lysander wouldn't quite be up for that line of thinking, "You know, you make an excellent point, but I still disagree."

"Why are you so frustrating?!" she half screamed at him.

"Why are you so frustrated?!" he echoed.

Scorpius sighed and pleaded at Lorcan, who sighed equally and sat up.

"Okay okay guys let's cool it. You're both right, you're both wrong. Blah blah blah. You love each other really, hug and make up" he interrupted.

"Only if he agrees to make an effort and stop being such a dick to my boyfriend" Roxanne said at Lorcan, more calmly.

Lysander narrowed his eyes, "I will if he does" he responded pointing at Scor.

Scorpius wanted to hex him in that moment, Lysander had always had a thing of shifting blame or bringing someone else down with him. He never wanted to admit he was wrong, so next best thing when he realised he was, was to point out that someone else was equally wrong.

Roxanne turned on Scorpius and he held his hands up, "Look, I'll admit, I don't like the guy. Seeing you after what he did to you made me want to hurt him, but I didn't, because you asked me not to - remember? You know I'll try if you ask me to, but only ask me if you really want to"

"Why wouldn't I want to ask you to be nicer to Logan?"

"Because he really doesn't like me. And it's possible that he might take me being nice to him the wrong way"

"Only if you're a smug git when you're being nice to him"

"But you know I have resting smug git face" he pouted.

"Scorpius-"she warned, though he'd seen her lips quirk up where she'd wanted to smile.

"Fine, fine I'm sorry. I'll make an effort with your boyfriend." He turned to Lysander, "Which I guess means you have to too, huh?"

Lysander should have known better than to use Scorpius as a bargaining chip for being nice to Logan. He should have known Scor could never refuse Roxanne. Sometimes it worried him how much he'd be willing to do for her. ~

"Well I'm bloody glad I wasn't here for that, it sounds super intense" Liv told Roxanne after she had finished explaining the half-conversation half-argument she'd had with the boys that morning.

"I was pretty intense, Ly really has issues with Logan"

"Ly's over protective and over competitive. His first impressions of Logan are that he hurt you badly with a borderline dirty shot and that he's literally the opposition. Of course he's not going to like him much."

"Yeah but he's so resistant"
"Rox, if he started dating Erin, how would we react?"

"The same way we react to Scor's girlfriends that are annoying"

"That's different, see, when Scorpius dates people we don't like, he doesn't particularly like them either. So he's cool with us acting however and pointing out their flaws if we want to. Whereas you actually like Logan, so you're defensive too"

"Whose side are you on here?" Roxanne said jokingly.

"Yours always. I'm just saying, it might be worth looking at it from their point of view. They're only trying to look out for you, except they're also stubborn little shits so it's going to be frustrating as hell."

Roxanne huffed a little, "Yeah I guess. I just want everyone to get on, you know?"

"Yeah I know, just keep in mind that that might not be possible" Liv said, a little sadly.

"You're right, but I'm going to keep trying"

"And I wouldn't expect anything less. Now speaking of trying could you try to look a little less stunning in that bikini, I'm trying to look good for my boyfriend, it would be nice to not be overshadowed" she teased, spinning her finger indicating she wanted a twirl.

Roxanne obliged with an eye roll. Liv looked absolutely fantastic in her bikini, no way would Roxanne be overshadowing her. She was perfectly proportioned, a petite version of a Greek goddess, slim with curves in all the right places.

"Okay, first you don't need me to tell you that you look fantastic. But I will anyway, you look fantastic. Second, I could be naked and there's no way Lorcan would look at me longer than a glance with you in the room"

Olivia beamed, hugging Roxanne. "You always know what to say don't you?"

Roxanne chuckled, "Of course I do, now quit being so nervous about being this naked in front of your boyfriend. You're a specimen"

"Oh stop it" she gushed wrapping a towel around her and slipping into her flip flops. "And besides, I know there's at least one guy in there who would very much appreciate you being naked"

Roxanne rolled her eyes, "You've spent too much time around Dominique"

Olivia only laughed in response as the girls exited the bathroom that was bigger than Roxanne's bedroom at home and walked down the hall to the swimming pool that of course, was one of two in the Manor and only a few doors down from Scor's room. ~

"Brace yourselves lads, I can hear them coming down the hall" Lysander announced to his two best friends. Knowing they'd both probably stutter when the girls walked in. His brother for sure, Scorpius had a slightly better chance of keeping his emotions and desires in check. Slightly.

"Shut it, Scamander"

"Yeah yeah, Malfoy. I'm not actually going to spill any actual secrets" Ly smirked at him.

"Good, though then you probably don't deserve this"

"Deserve wh-"Ly began before being propelled backwards into the water by Scor with some spell he'd only half heard.

Lysander had just broken the surface of the water when the girls came in. They looked at him, glaring at Scorpius and it wasn't hard to guess why they'd heard a shriek just before walking in.

"Thought you might have at least had the courtesy to wait for us before you started a show" Roxanne said at Scor. Lorcan and Olivia had gravitated toward one another and were now in the corner of the pool room talking in whispers.

"Oh I'm sorry, how rude of me. I should have waited for you shouldn't I?" Scorpius said, his smile widening.

"Don't you dare" Roxanne half-growled.

"Dare what?" he asked twirling his wand a tad before shooting the same spell at Roxanne with a flourish.

She didn't even have time to take off her towel or tie up her hair before she was completely submerged.

"You ass!" she called out as she emerged with her hair stuck to her face and towel sinking next to her.

She half-wrung the wet piece of material before swimming to the edge he was nearest and holding it out to him.

"You'd better be good at drying spells" she said as he came closer to her, still amused.

"I'm good at all spells, Roxanne. Don't be stupid" he reached for her towel but she held the other end firmly as he tried to take it from her.

"I think you should apologise" she said.

"For pushing you in? Not a chance" he smirked and tightened his grip to pull the towel from her, at which point she smirked back, moved to the side and tugged on the towel -pulling him in head first.

"Now who's stupid?" she responded, glad that he was also unprepared for the water – in his trunks but still in a t-shirt too.

"You're a devil" he told her, a little seductively.

"In disguise" she agreed, mentally slapping herself at the tone of voice she'd used back. For a second, she swore she saw his face react to her response too, and for a second she had herself thinking that it wasn't with just shock, that there was something about her half-flirting back with him that he seemed to have liked. Only for a second though, before rational thought took over and she dismissed it. ~

"I win, again" Liv gloated proudly as Lorcan lifted her out of the water and dropped her repeatedly in some type of hip-hip-hooray style cheer.

Roxanne laughed and swam slowly over to the side where Scorpius was leaning and had been watching the race.

"Where'd Ly go?" she asked.

"In the steam room" he answered, pointing to a steamed up glass door on one side of the pool.

"Of course there's a steam room"

"There's a sauna too?" he offered, almost a tone of embarrassment.

"All you're missing is the Jacuzzi" she joked.

He bit his lip.

"You're kidding me?"

"Nope" he answered, pointing to another door off to the side where Liv and Lorcan were walking over to now.

"So, where would you like to go then?"

"I'm pretty good here"

"Are you sure? There's also a hot tub with a retractable glass ceiling"

"That'd be beautiful at night out here" she mused aloud.

"It is, you can come back later if you like"

She laughed, "No thank you, I do not want to bump into your dad in the hot tub"

"You won't, this wing is pretty much mine, and they have a copy of everything here on their side too"

"That's amazing"

"Yeah I guess it is" he said, his voice changing a little.

"Hey, what's up?" she asked, stepping closer to him.

"Nothing, just kind of ironic how I'm sure loads of kids would wish for their own pool but all I wished for when I was little was for there to only be one so that I might get to bump into my parents more often."

"Surely they taught you to swim?"

"They hired a coach…Who taught me to swim"

"Oh" Roxanne replied, sad for him. She had such fond memories of the lake house her family sometimes holidayed to, where her parents and uncles and aunts had all taught her and her cousins to swim. They'd argue over who was the best at it, and then splash and race and play in the water for hours until Molly called them inside for a meal or warmth or something else entirely grandmotherly. Scor never seemed to have had anything like that, she wondered what his favourite childhood memories were, and how many he had.

She moved to hug him, "Well, when your little sibling comes along, you can all teach him or her together. No instructors needed. "

He hugged her back, resting his chin on her head, "Thanks Rox"

"You're very welcome."

They stood there like that for a while, probably longer than necessary just comfortable in each other's arms. The feeling of skin on skin was warm despite them both being wet and so felt right to them both, stopping either of them from ending the embrace. ~

"Er, herm" someone cleared their throat from the doorway, causing them to spring apart.

Draco looked down at the two with a raised brow and knowing smile, noting that though they'd jumped away, they were still standing close, in fact, his son had actually moved himself so that he stood in front of Roxanne, a shield which the blushing Weasley currently seemed to be shrinking behind.

"Your mother wanted me to inform you that breakfast will be ready in about ten minutes"

"Thank you, father"

"You're most welcome." He turned to leave but couldn't help adding something, "Oh and my apologies for the interruption. I did think about sending an elf, but I thought your guests might prefer a more personal touch. Though, you seem to have that under control…" Draco looked directly at Scorpius and couldn't resist teasing him. He didn't want to overstep his bounds with where his son was concerned and with how far they'd come recently in repairing their relationship but he also couldn't miss this chance.

"Dad… My apologies, but kindly fuck off"

Draco only laughed before leaving.

Yep, definitely a father-son bonding moment. ~

"Oh Merlin" Roxanne whispered when she thought that Draco had gone.

"Ignore him, he's testing out how jokey we can be with each other"

"He walked in-"

"He walked in on us hugging Roxanne, not having animalistic sex against the wall" he told her in an attempt to stop her worrying, though that only seemed to make her flush more. And he had to admit the image did also affect him slightly.

"Not helpful"

"It's because we sprang away. We made ourselves look guilty-"

"Oh so next time I should just hold on tighter should I?"

"No" he smiled, "But maybe not blush so hard, and say hi instead of hiding behind me" he told her half-joking brushing her cheek with his knuckles where her face was lightening slowly to a soft pink.

"You stepped in front of me, and I was going to say hi-"

"But then he made his little joke, yeah I know. Don't worry about it. He knows there's nothing going on"

She relaxed a little. "Why did you step in front of me?"

"Because I thought you might like a body to hide behind" he told her simply. Which was half true, though the other part was that he'd been shocked by a sound and had instinctively moved to put himself between her and it.

"Well thanks, I appreciated it. I bloody hate being in a bikini"

"Well for the record, I bloody hate you being in one too"

"Why's that?" she asked laughing, it hadn't been the expected response.

"Because you look so good in it and it's quite distracting" he said matter-of-factly.

She rolled her eyes and splashed him in the face. "4 out of 10 for that one, weak effort"

He splashed her back, "What that was at least a solid 6. You rolled your eyes"

"How'd you work out rolling my eyes is a good thing?"

"Well I have a mental scale. The better the reaction the worse you think I've been, which means I've probably been pretty good. It goes small sigh" he imitated her, "audible huff" again he made the noise he was describing, "snort" which he again recreated, "eye roll, eye roll with one of the first two, throwing something at me, hitting me, then hexing me. One day, I'm going to make a comment so amazingly flirty and tempting that you'll do all of the above and then kiss me"

She huffed at that involuntarily and then realised her reaction had been on the scale. He looked at her cockily which made her want to roll her eyes. She stopped herself though and just splashed him instead.

"You know that's the equivalent of throwing something…Really Roxanne you should be less predictable"

"Only when you're less of a smug git" she responded, swimming to the side to climb out of the pool. It was almost breakfast time after all. ~

"Oh Scorpius dear it's so lovely to finally get a chance to meet all your friends properly" Astoria told her son from the end of the table.

"You've met them before, mum" he pointed out, "At the ball, remember?"

"Yes I know that, but we were floating that evening, it's much easier to have a proper conversation this way"

"Yeah, Scor. This way we can tell your parents all the embarrassing stories about you without being interrupted." Roxanne joined in, earning a small smile from Astoria.

"Now, that does sound intriguing, please, do go on Roxanne"

"Well-"

"Well there was that time I came around to your house and didn't try to embarrass you in front of your parents?" Scorpius suggested.

"Fine, I'll be nice then" She said earnestly, suddenly realising she'd already embarrassed herself in front of his dad twice and didn't really want to draw more attention or get into some kind of embarrassing anecdote battle with Scor.

Draco mock frowned at her, sticking out his bottom lip. It was so ridiculous she couldn't help but giggle. That changed the moment his wife moved to take the empty pancake plate from the middle of the table to the counter to make more food. He stood up, watching her as she and her very large looking stomach waddled over to the side.

"Draco, sit down" She said, not even turning around to have seen that he'd stood.

"Just let me make them 'Stori, you should be resting"

"You should sit and stop coddling me before I have to hex you in front of guests"

"Let me just-"

"Sit." She said, in the way you might order a child or dog to do so. And Draco sat, in the way a child or dog might then sit, begrudgingly but without further argument.

"Good boy" Scorpius cooed at his dad, quietly enough that Roxanne and those at the table could hear but his mum couldn't. His friends giggled quietly and his dad only narrowed his eyes, Roxanne smiled, happy to see them genuinely seeming to get along now. ~

"So when is it that you're due, Mrs Malfoy?" Olivia asked politely as the conversation had steered to the upcoming Malfoy.

"Oh please. Astoria. And not until May, I've got another month and a bit to go"

"Do you know what it is yet?" she asked innocently, though Scor winced internally a little. His parents couldn't actually find out anything like that because the Healers had elected to not risk any further scans that weren't deemed necessary. He knew not having that choice had upset his mum a few weeks ago though.

"No not yet, I decided to wait for the surprise this time around" she elegantly lied. Roxanne made eye contact with him, and gave him an encouraging smile. She had been the only one he'd really spoken to about the extent of the risk with this pregnancy.

"That's so lovely, what are you hoping for?" Roxanne chimed in.

"A girl if I'm honest" Astoria told them, "I'm not so good with menswear – I'd much rather have a little girl to make dresses for."

"You make dresses? That's so cool" Olivia asked surprised.

Roxanne didn't even blink, she'd known what Scor's mum did for a living. Though, suddenly Scor realised Olivia didn't, he wondered if any of them would think that strange.

"Yes, though I do recall Scorpius wanting to try a few when he was younger."
"Please tell me you have some kind of photographic evidence, Mrs Malfoy" Ly managed to say, setting his food aside at the prospect of baby Scorpius in a dress.

"You know what I think I may have"

Draco smiled, "I think I remember taking the picture, 'Stor"

"Can we not do this please?" Scorpius pleaded at his mum, knowing his dad would be unrelenting.

"Oh honey but you looked wonderful. In fact, your hair was long at the time so you probably do look more like a girl than a boy anyway" He really hoped they couldn't find that photo.

"I don't think that helps in the way you think it does mum"

"Who said I thought it helped?" she asked, winking at him.

"Not you too" He was taken aback a little, he'd always been much closer with his mum and more jokey with her but she'd never really shown that side to their relationship in public before. She'd always supported his dad's idea of keeping up appearances and had never been anything like this in front of company prior to now. He liked it though, it made him think more of being in the Weasley-Potter household where things were more open and free and relaxed. He smiled, really looking forward to this baby and the new family it already seemed to be bringing out. ~

Astoria smiled at that comment, and Roxanne realised again Scorpius never had any chance of not being charming- his mother was just as enchantingly beautiful as his dad.

"Oh don't worry, if I wanted to tease you the way your father does, I would have made you cry by now" Astoria told Scorpius, winking again and clearing the table with a flourish of her wand.

Draco choked a little, laughing.

"Knew I married well" he told her directly, his face adoring, but naturally so.

Roxanne had noticed that Draco was the most attentive anyone could be to someone else, and he was clearly still so in love with his wife. It reminded her of her own parents, and some of her uncles and aunts.

Before Hogwarts, Roxanne never really thought of the concept of a couple falling out of love or breaking up - it hadn't existed in anything she'd seen around her. Even Percy cherished Audrey in his own ostentatious way. What Roxanne hadn't expected was to find that kind of connection here, she didn't think that you could have an unhappy child from a home with such loving parents, but she realised Scorpius probably hadn't seen how loving they were until much before now either. They'd obviously just not been all together enough for him to know, she smiled though knowing seeing this now would be helping with his reservations about the new baby. Surely he was much happier with the idea now. ~

"You know next time you could just politely decline?"

It was Sunday and the group's weekend at the Manor was coming to an end, Liv had left already and Roxanne was being summoned home too. Roxanne had just been to say goodbye to Astoria and Draco, and had accepted an invitation from his mother to come back over once the baby was born for afternoon tea at some point. Maybe even before then if she was up to it.

"And why would I do that? I love your parents. And I love babies, and I love food. What's not to love?"

"I don't love you all tormenting me at once like that" he told her jokingly, as embarrassed as he pretended to be, a large part of him was so happy that his friends and his parents got along well, Roxanne especially.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad. Besides I can't wait to see you with a baby, I want to be there to witness the mushy side of Scorpius Malfoy"

"You're going to have to sign an NDA if you come"

"Sure, if you make gurgley noises and have a baby voice I'll probably sign anything"

"That's a weird thing for you to want to witness"

"Why? I like seeing you be all soft and feely, it's cute."

"You like me being feely?" He asked with a cheeky brow raised. "In that case..." he pretended to reach his hands out to her but she smacked them away like he knew she would.

"Stop it, you know what I mean."

"I know you know I know what you mean"

She rolled her eyes and let him place his hands around her now anyway, for a hug goodbye. They held on for what seemed like ages again and Scorpius did wonder why that seemed to be happening more often now. He wasn't going to complain though.

"Well, I'll see you soon then. You know, when your mum invites me back over"

"You'll see me before then"

"I know, but I wanted to remind you about your mum inviting me over" she grinned and he rolled his eyes this time.

"Bye Roxanne"

"Goodbye Scorpius" she told him, flashing a brilliant smile before disappearing in green flame.

Scorpius walked back into his room, as Roxanne had left from the proper entry and exit fireplace of the Manor this time, and almost forgot the twins were still here.

"That was a long goodbye"

"Yeah well she was talking to my mum for ages"

"Aww, that's cute. Makes it much easier for when she has to meet the parents once you start dating"

Scor gave Ly a scathing look, it might be funny to him but it wasn't all always that funny to Scorpius to keep being reminded that the girl he was falling for wouldn't ever be with him.

"Not funny"

"Oh come on! Surely you saw it this weekend? She is so into you!"

"I'm actually tempted to agree on that" Lorcan put in.

"She cares about me a lot Ly I know that, but not in that way, it's purely platonic to her. She sees me as-"

"Don't you dare say big brother-" Lorcan started

"Because that is a lie." Ly finished

"Okay she doesn't see me as a big brother but she doesn't see me the way you think either. We're just really close, we share a lot, she knows me but that doesn't mean she's romantically interested."

"And why is it that you're so close? Ever thought about that? Because you guys have something, there's a spark and there always has been. You're magnetic"

Lorcan nodded along, actually a little surprised about how passionate Ly sounded about all of this.

"No it's not that. We're just really similar people, she probably understands me more than I understand myself sometimes. We just get each other, but I can tell you for a fact she doesn't think of me that way"

"I think you know she does, but you're afraid to admit it mate. I think you know there could very easily be something there but you don't want to admit what that would mean"

"And what would it mean? Please do enlighten me" he drawled.

"Well it would mean you'd have to make her see it too, and then you'd have to fight for her" Lorcan told him.

"I wouldn't have any problems fighting for her, but she wouldn't want me to. The only outcome of that would be losing her, and I won't do that completely just because you have it in your head that we have a spark"

"Fine, whatever, continue to be stubborn. But when she and Logan break up, you'd better rethink this whole not admitting anything to her thing because the longer you leave it, the harder it's going to be" ~

A/N:

Soooo... what did you think?!

Sorry there wasn't much more of the whole Manor weekend, I felt like I could have spent whole chapters on just that alone so decided to skip a load out and just get to the important conversations and interactions that came from it.

What do we think about the twins being more vocal about Scorpianne? And about Scorpius' relationships with his parents now?

Hope you enjoyed the chapter and are ready for the next one because it will be coming very sooon!

Drop me a few lines and tell me what you think and where it's going! xxx
