Hello! Sorry if the last chapter confused anyone haha.
To clarify, in the Wayne Family chapter. Kagome is Bruce's biological daughter and Damian's half sibling.
In order to break himself from his sibling's hold he had kissed her.
Prompting all the members of the family to act.
Enjoy :)
Uchiha
A firm, pointed look quieted any further questions.
All other parties remained silent until the Police Captain made his way out of the room and further into the Uchiha residence.
A sigh parted peach-colored lips, rare blue eyes focusing down on the mass buried in her lap.
A blaring reminder of their family heritage painted on the back of her younger brother's shirt had her grimacing but she quickly masked it with a warm smile. The older Uchiha sibling caressed the silky onyx head with gentle hands.
"Come on Itachi," Kagome coo'd, urging the boy to look at her once more, "We still have a lot of time together."
The fists clenching her skirt tightened in response.
Moments ago they had been sharing a flowing conversation, quite mature for the boy's young age but pleasant nonetheless, with a tray of tea and snacks when their patriarch entered the residence. Blatantly informing the female of the company that she would be attending a dinner with him to meet a potential suitor.
To which the quick-witted prodigal son inquired about each redeeming quality of said suitor and proceeded to defame each said quality. That is until Fugaku Uchiha lost his patience with his children and promptly silenced them and walked away.
With every word that left their father's mouth, Itachi fought to growl and dig his nails further into his own palm in anger.
How could he not see that forcing Kagome away from their family unit would be the worst thing to do to the family. His mother provided the hand that fed and raised him, nurturing him with a warm smile. His father, stone cold and expecting nothing but the upmost best from the boy, raised him with an iron fist and taught him everything. His sister, she brought life into the dark halls of their home. She was the person waiting for him with arms wide open when he came home from the Academy. She was the only one that if he were to lose her, he could not find himself coming back from.
She was his heart and strength.
Soft hands cupped his face, pulling him from the folds of her skirt. Angry crimson eyes met calming stormy blues, the former quickly finding himself lost in the ocean of love. Her forehead pressed firmly against his own.
"Thank you for protecting me Ita-kun," Kagome whispered, as if sharing a secret.
His little heart clenched as her eyes glazed with unshod tears.
"I love you, we'll be together forever," she promised.
Itachi Uchiha promised to the heavens that he would do everything in his power to keep her promise.
Though Fugaku prided himself in having children who easily excelled at everything they did, he found his son's devotion to his daughter ever growingly dangerous. He did not expect blind obdience, a price for intelligence and strength, but his tolerance grew thin every time Itachi moved to burn every correspondence Fugaku worked to ensure his daugher's future.
From her unique blue eyes in a sea of black and red Uchiha's down to her sharp yet calming tongue, Kagome Uchiha was a catch of the century and would someday make a glowing example of a Matriach. Due to this, he forbade her from pursuing any future involving direct combat, instead choosing to marry her for the better of the clan.
Deep down, Fugaku felt a deeper attachment for his daughter beyond pride, something that had him fighting to keep from curling his lip at every boy sniffing in his daughter's direction. The first time the very notion of having to marry off his only daughter had been brought up by the elderly council, he nearly broke the table before him. But eventually he agreed to the importance of keeping the excellence of the Uchiha clan.
But that feeling would not be quelled, it continued to fester and grow. One his wife quickly and happily pointed as something as simple as fatherly love.
Such simple notion.
One he knew to be true, but he would never voice outloud.
For that, he knew he could not truly, fully protect her the way Itachi clearly fought to do.
He watched as the two siblings embraced.
And he wasn't sure if that reflected on his failures or accomplishments as a father.
