Chapter 1: The Dark Void

Darkness. That was the only thing Lincoln Loud could see. It looked as if it was never ending. He began to sit up and look around.

Nothing. There was nothing. The area surrounding him made him feel like he was choking. He felt a sense of dread as he began to walk in the pitch-black area. His field of vision was completely useless in this scenario. His dread then turned to a frightened panic as he began to sprint across the area.

"H-H-Hello!?" He shouted. "Is anyone there?"

No one responded to the poor boys' calls. It seemed as if the boy with hair as white as snow was trapped in this dark and lonely void. However, it would not remain that way for long. A green light had begun to glow in the distance. The green rays blinded Lincoln's vision for a moment. Once Lincoln could see what he was looking at, he was even more confused and scared than he was a second ago. He began to back away from the light.

"Do not be afraid," the mysterious light said in a rather soft tone.

Lincoln could not identify exactly who voice belonged to, but it sounded like an old frail man.

"Who-who are you? What is this place? Why am I…"

Suddenly, the voice interrupted him.

"Questions you have, hmmm? Still looking to the horizon. Just like your Father."

His…father? Lincoln never knew his father or even knew what he looked like. Lincoln did not like this situation at all. After a few brief moments of hesitation, Lincoln asked a question that he did not want to ask.

"How do you know my dad? I've never even met him?"

Suddenly a new light and voice appeared. The room then began to be filled with the lights of purple and green as the newcomer interjected

"Seriously, Yoda?" The new voice asked in a tired tone. "You don't have to insult the kid. He's only eleven," the mysterious voice said.

"My apologies, Glossaryck. Once you have been one with the Force for so long, hard it is, to keep your patience in check."

"Oh please. Try being a living entity that is the controller of magic in several dimensions. It is exhausting," Glossaryck said in exhaustion.

Lincoln was even more confused than ever. Yoda. Glossaryck. The Force. Magic. Multiple Dimensions. What the heck is going on here!

"W-wait a minute!" Lincoln stammered. "What are you two talking about.

At this point Yoda and Glossaryck have stopped their conversation and turned their attention back to the boy.

"Right…I almost forgot." Glossaryck sighed. "To put it simply kid, we need your help."

The green and purple light filled the entire room making it more visible to Lincoln. Lincoln looked around the room and saw that it was entirely made of crystalized stardust. It came in many colors and the colors changed as Lincoln moved towards the table that was in the middle of the room.

The table was jagged and made entirely out of crystal. There were 10 chairs, with Yoda and Glossaryck occupying two seats. Yoda on the left and Glossaryck on the right.

Yoda looked like a little green alien. His ears were pointy and extended outward. His hair was white, and he wore a light brown robe. He was bathed in bluish kind of aura.

Glossaryck had blue skin with a pink crystal at the center of his forehead. He wore a yellow robe, and he had a white beard.

Lincoln walked up to them with hesitation. He looked at Yoda and then to Glossaryck. He looked at the seat in front of him. He sat down in shaky breath as he kept his eyes on both weird entities in front of him.

"Y-You guys need me for something?" Lincoln asked, his nerves being spiked due to the fact he had never seen anyone or anything like these two before.

"Indeed, we do," said Yoda. "A fraction, we two are, of the guardians of the multiverse. Our other members are out in the gaps infinity fixing the mess that a certain enemy of ours started."

Glossaryck and Yoda both looked at Lincoln, waiting for him to respond, but he was utterly and completely dumfounded.

"Allow me to put it in simpler terms," Glossaryck sighed. "Me, Yoda, and eight other members are currently in charge of maintaining stability in the multiverse. We represent different factions of this stability. I represent the faction of magic in the multiverse, while Yoda maintains the Living Force side of the multiverse. However, there is a very dangerous enemy that threatens that stability."

Glossaryck's crystal began to glow from his forehead. A purple beam then hit the center of the crystalline table, creating a 3-dimensional hologram of a masked individual covered in complete darkness. His features were not comprehensible and were just an image created from what Glossaryck though he looked like.

"This is Lord Draven," Yoda said solemnly. "He was once a respected member of the Guardians. However, he became corrupted. He saw that the entire multiverse as a pool of unimaginable power. He wanted to claim all ten factions as his own, making him the one true god of all of creation. He has been at large for quite some time. This fallen hero has begun conquering numerous worlds for his own selfish gains."

"Does that make any sense?" Glossaryck asked the bewildered boy.

Lincoln could not believe what he was hearing. If he knew any better, he would say that this was some poorly written fanfiction.

"Okay…so… I kinda get what you two are saying, but what does this have to do with me? I'm just an eleven-year-old kid. I don't have any special powers or anything. Heck, how do I know this isn't some whacked out dream?"

Yoda and Glossaryck glanced at each other in silence. After a certain amount of time, Yoda finally spoke up.

"You…ask to many questions," Yoda began to chuckle to himself. "You remind me of a boy that I had once trained on the planet Dagobah."

"See, there you go again! You two are talking about all of this nonsense that makes absolutely no sense!" Lincoln shouted.

Yoda began to laugh even louder. Lincoln's anger was so amusing that even Glossaryck began to join in. The two strange creatures began to quell their laughter after a certain amount of time.

"Oh…heh…don't worry kid," Glossaryck wheezed in amusement. "You'll figure it all out soon enough…we'll let you know what you need to do when the time is right. Heck, I think it should be starting tomorrow night, in fact."

As Glossaryck finished that sentence, a green portal then appeared behind Lincoln sucking him into parts unknown. Glossaryck then looked at Yoda, who was still chuckling from Lincoln's constant bombardment of questions.

"Are you sure he is the one we have been looking for? He seems like kind of a loser?"

"I am certain," said Yoda. "That boy is the last hope for the entire multiverse. For everyone, everywhere.
