Lmao, imagine like - rewriting this and then your computer crashing due to your RAM not working properly and then like, having to rewrite it again.
I'm totally not late with this upload because of that jajaja.
OH, tomorrow there might not be an update because I got some games planned with friends. I apologize in advance and I will see you guys with Chapter 0 on Friday again! 3
''So, the Secret Services offered you a position and you moved to Washington D.C., ending up working for the President?'' Tommy asked, fascinated by it all as he took a bite of his desert.
''Yes. I needed a new start, and the offered me one. It was hard to say no.'' Jane said with a small nod, looking at her family.
Maura was peacefully eating her desert next to the agent, watching the family interact every now and then.
Frank Senior cleared his throat, ''You got shot not even a week ago, why are you back to work already? Shouldn't you be resting?'' he asked, his voice worried when he looked at his daughter who carefully shrugged her shoulders.
''I'm technically not working. I'm not ready for the field, my replacement is still in the House. I passed all my tests and am ready for the office but as I'm not needed I could accompany Maura to Boston.'' Jane said. When she turned to look at the blonde, she was looking back at her. They shared a brief look before both of the women got a goofy smile on their face.
''She won't let me work though, so we should be good.'' the brunette said.
Maura chuckled and shook her head. ''But, she is still wearing her badge and gun on her wherever she goes.''
Jane protested, ''Of course I am. Your father would kill me if something were to happen with you while I am around.'' she muttered, playfully shoving Maura's arm with her shoulder. The blonde gasped and faked a pain.
''Ouch!'' Maura squeaked, trying to hold back her laugh.
Jane grinned wide, ''Oh shut it, Maur.'' she chuckled.
''The pasta is amazing Angela, as always of course.'' Maura said, her voice still containing the amusement of Jane shoving her.
Angela gave Maura a grateful smile. ''None of us had seen you in months, so I did my best. If I had known you were bringing Jane I would've made a dozen extra.'' the elderly Rizzoli joked, everyone at the table laughing.
''Ma..'' Jane whined, faux annoyed.
''No wonder the nickname now, Jane.'' Maura said with a hearty laugh, earning a disapproving look from the agent next to her.
''You know about her nickname?'' Frankie asked surprised, he hadn't expected his sister to tell the blonde.
''Yes, she told me.'' Maura nodded, looking from Frankie back to Jane who still had the same disapproving look on her face.
The brunette took a bite of her cannoli regardless and muttered halfway through her chewing, ''Not funny.'' she husked out, Maura slapping her shoulder.
''What was that for?'' Jane asked with wide eyes as she leaned away from the blonde.
''No talking with your mouth full.'' the shorter woman chuckled, the agent rolling her eyes at her.
Frank Senior spoke up again with a snicker. ''So tell me, you ran in to Jane and decided to drag her along as a friend it seems. How come? The girl never had a friend once in her life.'' the man said, earning a death glare from his wife and a sigh from his only daughter.
Maura quickly glanced at the agent before looking at the table, visibly trying to carefully pick out her next words before the made eye contact with Frank Sr.
''When I had to fly back to the states after the shooting, I met Jane. I had heard of her on the news of course, and wasn't sure if she was yours. I assumed she was and from what I heard from the people here was that Jane was rude, selfish. That she had left the local forces to team up with the feds. The thing is – what I love most about Boston and the people here, is that you took me in and treated me as a friend and family before figuring out I was the First Daughter and nothing changed after you did find out. When I met Jane, regardless of her job or what I had heard about her – she treated me as a person and not as an object to be kept safe at all times. Your daughter turned out to have the biggest heart I have seen in a long, long time. I took her back here because most evidence pointed to her being part of your family, and she was too scared to ever return on her own – so I nudged her a bit, so both parties could stop worrying.''
''Maur..'' Jane said softly, but the blonde shook her head and rested her hand on the agents knee.
''Your daughter is a wonderful and brave woman. She caught a bullet for my father, she stands up immediately no matter in how much pain she is to keep the ones around her safe. I just want all of you to know that.'' Maura finished quietly, now looking over at Jane who was simply staring back at her – brown eyes in awe of the blondes words.
''Don't go all soppy on me now or I will start calling you Miss Isles again.'' Jane said with a smirk.
''Is that a promise?'' Maura asked amused, raising one of her eyebrows.
The thing is – what I love most about Boston and the people here, is that you took me in and treated me as a friend and family before figuring out I was the First Daughter.

''Are you really planning on calling me Miss Isles again?'' Maura asked when both girls were back in the car and on their way to the Police Department.
They had left the Rizzoli household after dinner and promised Angela they would swing by the next day again after visiting the Police Department.
It was early, Jane holding a travel mug of coffee in her hands and was sitting back in her seat – quietly sipping her drink every now and then. Maura hadn't exactly understood what had been happening, the agent told her she wanted to be intimate and then shut her out.
The woman even slept in the guest room, avoiding Maura's bed like the plague.
They hadn't really spoken until Maura brought up the 'Miss Isles' situation, it pulled Jane out of her own world and the brunette looked up with a soft hum.
''No, of course not.'' she mumbled, resting her head against the window and staring outside – eyes flickering over bypassing streets that were once hers to keep safe.
''Then would you be able to tell me what happened? You shut me down after dinner yesterday and avoided me in the house, slept in the guest room and didn't speak to me until now.'' Maura sighed.
''You said you wanted to be intimate, that you didn't want it to be a one time thing and then – then you kissed me just before dinner and now it seems like you are back to professional. I don't handle you ignoring me very well.'' the blonde said desperately as she pulled up in a parking spot in front of the police department, she could hear Jane sigh next to her.
''I'm sorry, Maura. I just.. It is so weird to see my family again after how I left them. You are the First Daughter and seeing my family act like you are one of us, acting like I never left. It confused me and I don't say that this is the case – but it made me feel like I wasn't doing my job.'' the agent admitted, turning her head to look at Maura who gave her a disapproving look.
''Maybe that is because you aren't here to do your job.'' the woman in the driver seat reminded her friend.
''But I am, Maura. Yes, I am here as your friend but I am also here to keep you safe in case a maniac shows up. It feels wrong letting my guard down, even when I am around my family. What if something were to happen and I wouldn't be ready for it? I have nobody here to tell me someone is aiming for you, it has to come from my own observation. What if I don't see it in time and it becomes fatal? I shouldn't have slept with you, I shouldn't have kissed you and I shouldn't be acting goofy and unprofessional around you..'' Jane said, running her hand through her hair. The agent opened her mouth to say more but stopped herself from doing so by seeing the hurt in Maura's eyes. Instead she shook her head and got out of the car.
Maura followed suit, quickly stepping out and rounding the car to catch up with the brunette. She reached out and got a hold of Jane's wrist, tugging her back to face her.
''Jane, look at me.'' she requested silently. The agent turned to face her, brown eyes hurt and jaws clenched together firmly.
''Look, you can act professional in the department. Act professional when we are at your parents or when we have to leave the house for any occasion possible – but don't shut down on me, please. I enjoyed yesterday, and I told you as well I didn't want it to be a one time thing. This is your town, where your family and friends live. This is your home, Jane. Enjoy it before we go back to Washington, I don't mind.'' the blonde added, gently squeezing the agents wrist resting in her hand.
''I can't, Maura.'' the agent growled, tugging her wrist loose from the blondes grip. In return Maura grabbed both of her hands and pulled her closer, this time in a more demanding manner rather than an insecure one.
''Then act like yourself around your family and when we are at my house. You can be your stubborn and protective self everywhere else. Just don't shut me out please.'' Maura said softly, standing on her tiptoes so she could place a kiss on the taller woman's cheek.
''Fine.'' the agent sighed deeply.
Jane couldn't argue with Maura, not because she couldn't win it – she just didn't want to argue with a The brunette had a soft spot for the woman, but her job tore her apart. The thought in the back of her head didn't leave her alone, always the paranoia of fear resting around a corner, always the paranoia of someone watching them – wanting to hurt Maura. The feeling was always there, it quietly drove her insane.
''Good. Now let's go and see how everyone is doing.'' Maura smiled, holding on to one of Jane's head and taking her inside the station.
''They all hate me, Maur.'' Jane whined quietly, pulling herself loose from Maura when they entered the foyer. The agent straightened herself up and tugged her jacket to fix it, following the blonde to the service desk.
''Good morning officer Jenkins!'' the blonde said happily, ''I am here to see Detective Vince Korsak and Lieutenant Sean Cavanaugh.
The officer behind the desk smiled brightly at Maura, ignoring the woman behind her completely.
''You can walk right through, Doctor Isles – you know that.'' the man said with a kind smile.
''I do have to register your company though, could I take her name?'' Jenkins said, his eyes now switching to Jane and giving her a disgusted look.
Jane knew Jenkins all too well, the man had worked at the front desk for years. It stung the agent when he looked at her like that, pretending he didn't know her.
Maura turned to Jane and then back to the man behind the desk. ''That is Agent Rizzoli, she is with me.'' the blonde with a polite smile. The officer nodded and took out a visitors sticker, handing it to the brunette who instantly folded it up in a ball and put it back down on the desk.
Jane took out her badge and put it down next to the ball of paper.
''Agent Rizzoli. Secret Services. No need for a sticker officer Jenkins.'' the brunette hissed out, taking back her badge and grabbing Maura's upper arm – ushering the woman through the security ports.
She flashed her badge to the officer checking for weapons and they were allowed through without further questions.
Jane pushed Maura in to an elevator and stepped in with her, pressing the button that would bring them to the Homicide floor.
Maura pulled herself loose from the other woman. ''I can do things for myself perfectly fine, Jane. Why are you being so rude?'' she exclaimed, looking at the brunette who head her head down and her hands firmly behind her back again.
''I know officer Jenkins.'' Jane sighed. ''We went to the academy together. The man has been by my side since my 19th, he choose for the office when I chose for fieldwork. Now he is pretending like he doesn't know me, giving me the perfect example as to why I should have never returned here.'' the agent said, lifting her head to look at the doors of the elevator.
Maura fell silent, feeling bad for her behavior towards Jane now. She wanted to apologize but the bell of the elevator rang to let them know they had arrived at their floor. The doors opened and the blonde stepped out in to the corridor, going straight for the Lieutenants office, Jane following suit without saying anything else.
The blonde knocked on the door of the office and waited, she and Jane both recognizing the low and stern voice responding seconds later,
''Come in!''
Maura opened the door to the office, giving Jane a quick glance before walking in. The agent took a deep breath and followed her in.
There goes nothing.
