I am a day late, I am sorry but also not sorry. I am exhausted from withdrawal effects and I am trying hard to stay distracted.
To the Guest that said this was boring and it was just the same, that is exactly what these chapters are.
It says in the title that its a rewrite, new chapters come when all the rewrites are done my guy.
Maura closed the bedroom door behind them, Jane already crawling in to bed and curling up below the blanket.
''Are you alright?'' the blonde asked as she kicked off her shoes and got in to bed with the other woman, curling up against the brunette's back and wrapping her arms around her waist, resting her hand on the toned stomach of the Italian woman.
Jane let out a deep breath at the touch of her girlfriends hands. She was tired, she felt sick and yet her stomach was rumbling – most likely in protest of the brunette fleeing the dinner table earlier and skipping out on dinner.
''Yeah, I'm fine.'' the brunette said tiredly, carefully resting her hand on top of Maura's on her stomach.
Maura nodded, a soft ''Okay.'' spilled in the room before it went silent. The blonde closed her eyes and when almost asleep the sound of Jane moving in the bed made her open her eyes again. The bed dipped and she felt a pair of lips softly pressing against her forehead.
She looked at the brunette as she pulled back, eyes meeting with deep brown.
''I am sorry that I got so angry tonight.'' Jane whispered, her voice regretful. She had been acting awful towards the blonde for weeks now and the woman really hadn't deserved any of it. Maura had been so kind and caring, always dealing with Jane's anger attacks and mood swings – talking her out of any PTSD attacks the moment they kicked in. The doctor had been her rock, and Jane had been nothing but awful to her.
''There is no need to apologize for anything, Jane. You're not yourself recently and -''
''No.'' Jane curtly interrupted the blonde.
''Let me finish, Maur.'' the former detective said softly, Maura nodding in return.
''You, Maura. You are amazing. You put up with all of my mood swings and anger attacks. You are my rock in all of this, and you have been so selfless – always looking after me. I shouldn't have gotten angry at you about who you dated in the past and I am fully aware my words won't fix anything but I truly am sorry, and I will try my hardest to get a grip on myself. I will try my hardest to get help and work on this.'' Jane said softly, clear regret in her voice – the woman really was sorry. Her eyes showed she was upset.
Maura exhaled, ''I love you, Jane.'' she said, feeling Jane stiffening next to her on the bed at the words.
The agents words were uncertain as she spoke. ''You do?'' she asked.
Maura looked in to brown eyes again, this time less regret inside of them – instead there was hope in them. There was a slight sparkle that made her stomach tie in knots. She gave Jane a small smile,
''I do.''
A broad smile appeared on the brunettes face.
"'I love you too.'' Jane muttered, leaning in and happily pressing her lips against Maura's.
The blonde smiled in to the kiss and gently pulled the agent closer to her.

Edmond smiled widely as he walked in to his office, seeing Jane standing up from her seat at the desk together with Frost immediately.
''How nice to see you here again!'' the man said happily, walking over to the two agents.
''Good morning, Sir.'' Jane said, giving him a small smile.
''What brought you here so soon?'' The President asked, he extended his hand to the brunette to greet her.
''I am not able to work for another two months at least, but Frost asked me if I could look through some of the security protocols with him to explain anything that might be unclear.'' Jane said, taking the mans hand and giving it a firm shake and instantly regretting the action. She winced and upon the sound Edmond's eyes widened with shock – the man instantly letting go of her hand.
''I am so sorry Jane -'' the President started but Jane interrupted him by holding up her sore hand.
''It's alright, Sir. You couldn't have known, it's been getting better.'' Jane said.
''But, I did finish up my work here. Would it be okay if I went to visit Constance?'' the agent added, asking the elderly Isles for permission.
Edmond nodded, ''Yes, of course. I believe I saw her in the library with Maura earlier.'' he said, the brunette nodded at him and turned to her colleague to say her goodbyes.
Barold pulled Jane in to a quick hug and pat her back firmly, he really appreciated the woman and she knew he did. Jane would most likely consider Frost one of her best friends, if not her best friend. The woman smiled and carefully returned the pat before letting go of him.
Jane gave Frost a happy smile before leaving the office and making her way towards the library.

The agent was walking around the library, checking some of the pathways to see if she could find her girlfriend and Constance.
''Constance? Maur? Are you two in here?'' she husked out, hoping to receive a response.
''We're here, Jane.''
Constance's voice echoed through the library and the agent quickly made her way over to the sound of it. As she approached the First Lady her eyes fell on the very, very upset Maura Isles – leaning in to her mothers side. Jane's entire stance changed, her face changing to worried as she quickly paced towards them.
The agent crouched down in front of the couch the two women were seated on, resting her hand on the blondes knee and giving it a gently squeeze.
''What happened?'' Jane asked, looking up at Constance as Maura wasn't responsive.
The First Lady's voice was quiet, ''Edmond knows, Jane.'' Maura now shifting in the elderly woman's hold so she could look at the brunette crouched in front of the couch.
Maura's face was stained runny mascara and tears, her face shredded with sadness. Jane clenched her jaw at the sight of her girlfriend so upset.
"'Oh, Maur.'' she whispered, getting up from her crouching position so she could sit on the armrest of the couch and pull the blonde in to her side.
She ignored the pain as she tugged the woman against her and soon Maura burrowed her face in the tailored suit jack of her girlfriend.
''He was really angry, Jane. He might fire you.'' Constance said quietly, feeling sorry for both of the women. The two were good for each other and clearly knew what they were doing, her husband punishing the both felt unfair. ''I'm sorry.''
''No, Constance. It's okay. I knew this could happen if it became known. I have a back-up plan if he ends up wanting me gone, secret services might even put me on a new case if possible. I just saw him in his office though, he seemed to be doing fine.'' Jane said, soothingly rubbing Maura's back.
She was confused as to why Edmond was angry at Maura but not with her. It was understandable he wouldn't agree with his daughter dating one of the agents, but Jane couldn't help but wonder what had been said that upset her girlfriend this much.
Constance spoke again, ''He wants Maura out of the House in a week.''
Jane's eyes widened and she looked from Maura to Constance. Yes, Maura was a grown woman but she came back to visit her parents and now with her being known to the public it was highly uncalled for to kick her out. After the Hoyt incident, the both of them hit the news papers hard – especially since the killer was known for hunting after couples.
''Will there be any security detail provided for her?'' the agent asked, interrupting her own train of thought. She saw Constance shaking her head.
''No, she will be by herself.'' the First Lady said softly.
Maura, ''I need to go back to Boston.''
Both her mother and her girlfriend looked at her with that comment. She pulled herself from Jane's side as the agent spoke.
''What?'' the brunette asked confused, a nervous chuckle following – hoping she hadn't heard Maura right.
''I own a property there, I have a car there and Sean said they needed someone to replace Doctor pike. He is getting reassigned to New York, Sean said all he had to do was make a call to the governor to see if they would take me.'' Maura said, wiping the tears from her cheeks and taking a deep breath.
Jane frowned a bit, trying to hide her hurt the best she could. ''But that means you have to leave.''
''You can come with me, Jane.'' the blonde tried.
''I can't, Maura. My work is here. Even if your father has me fired, I still have to stay. Secret Service headquarters is located here.'' the agent sighed.
''Can we talk about this when we're home, please?'' Maura asked, her voice more quiet this time.
Jane nodded, ''Yeah.. Yeah of course.'' she responded quickly, understanding. Her eyes flashed from the blonde to the First Lady and back.
''Go home, girl. I will talk to Edmond.'' Constance said.
''No, it's okay. Father wants me gone so I will go. I am an adult. I am old enough to live on my own, I have always been on my own – I am used to it.'' Maura muttered as she stood up from the couch and left the library, leaving a hurt mother and a confused girlfriend behind.
