Requested by Jlove-pp: Ohhh this is going to be so much fun! Also, this was fun to write because I've been drawing a lot of older mericcup with their kids. I want to write to them more since I want to see them raise their kids with dragons.

It was the usual night, Merida was at home cooking dinner while Eldrid, Nanna, Alison, and Annable were all sitting down eating. Merida let a long sigh out after she was finished cleaning up and sitting herself down with her food. Before Merida could bring the food to her mouth she heard the door open, seeing a very tired Hiccup walking inside.
"PAPA!" The triplets ran up to Hiccup knocking him down to the floor.
"Ah! Hi girls." Hiccup smiled as his daughters hugged him.
Merida laughed as she stood up making some food for Hiccup to eat, she placed down the food and sat back onto her chair. Merida laughed as Hiccup was struggling against his daughters, meanwhile, Eldrid was rolling his eyes and eating his food.
"Alright girls. Papa's tired." Hiccup sat up as the triplets went back to their chairs.
"The chief can tame any dragon, but not three of his daughters?" Merida smirked as Hiccup stood up.
"Haha, very funny." Hiccup leaned down kissing Merida as he sat down eating his dinner.
"Anything new happen Eldrid?" Hiccup stared at his son.
"Nothing..." Eldrid looked down at his food.
"Eldrid got's a crush on Trya!" Nanna giggled.
"I DO NOT!" Eldrid slammed his hands onto the table causing everyone to stare.
"Eldrid." Merida warned.
"He does!" Alison and Annable spoke at the same time.
"Trya? Eret and Astrid's daughter?" Hiccup eyed his son seeing his face turning red at his hair.
"Ugh! C-can we stop talking about it, please!" Eldrid threw his arm up as he sank into his chair.
"Why don't ya tell her? Aye'm sure she'll like ya." Merida couldn't help but wink at her husband causing him to laugh.
"Yeah, sure. 'Hey Trya! I like you, not like any other guy in our village would be better.' Sure that'll work." Eldrid rolled his eyes.
"Ya don't know that. Ya got to tell her to really know for sure, Eldrid." Merida comforted her son.
"Fine, dad. Was it easy for you to say that to Mom?" Eldrid smirked.
"W-well... I-I..."
"See?" Eldrid motioned to his father.
"Eldrid, you didn't let me finish." Eldrid turned his head to his father.
"What I was going to say was... Well... No, but I-I knew I had to tell her." Hiccup smiled as Merida smiled back at him.
"I'm going to bed." Eldrid pushed his chair back running up the stairs where his and his sister's room was at.
Merida looks over to where Hiccup was sitting and he just shrugged at her as he continued to eat. After everyone finished Merida clean up the dishes and everything, Hiccup can behind her hugging her.
"How is everything?" She asked him.
"Everything is going well, though winter will be coming soon so I'm going to have to prepare everything for that."
"Oh really?" She turned her head back staring at his eyes.
"Yes, really?" He smirked at her.
"Mama, Papa!" Both of their heads turn seeing their three daughters at the top of the stairs.
"Can we get a story before we go to bed?" All three of them asked at the same time.
"Aye, in a moment." All the girls ran back to their rooms leaving their parents alone.
"Trya, huh? She's pretty." Merida smiled as she turned around facing Hiccup.
"She's very smart as well. Nothing he can't handle." Merida laughed at Hiccup's remark. Oh, she remembers when they were kids.
"Indeed, aye say he gets it from ya." Merida smirked at Hiccup.
"Ohhh, what? He has your fiery spirit." Hiccup pulled Merida closer to him so he could bend down to kiss her. Merida pulled away quickly as she pulled his hand towards the stairs.
"Come on, let's put the girls to sleep."
After they went inside their children's room they saw Eldrid laying down his bed covering his head over with the furs he had. Meanwhile, Nanna, Alison, and Annable were jumping up and down on their bed causing Eldrid to groan.
"Alright, settle down girls." Hiccup sat down next to his daughters while Merida sat on the other side pulling Nanna to her side.
"What ya like to hear?" Merida stared at them.
"Papa's leg!" Alison smiled.
"We heard that already!" Eldrid groan from his bed.
"Grandpa Fergus leg?" Annable spoke next.
"Oh, I got one!" Eldrid sat up pulling the furs away.
"How about the story about a Princes, that turned her mother into a bear." Eldrid crossed his arms together.
"Tell us tell us!" Merida let a long sigh out as she looked for her husband for help, he shrugged motioning her to tell the story.
"Very well. Once there was an ancient kingdom, ruled by a beloved King and Queen who had a beautiful daughter. She-"
"Was a strong, smart, and best archer of all of the land." Merida glared at Hiccup causing him to laugh.
"Aye'm telling the story, are ya? No, let me tell the story." Merida scolded.
"Alright, alright."
"Right. She was the best archer of all the land and had everything she had ever asked for. But one day, her mother the Queen had set her future up to be married by one of the three clans. They would compete for her hand in marriage." Merida leaned closer to the girls.
"What did she do?" Annable asked.
"She was so upset, she competed for her hand and won. But that had caused her mother to be very angry with her. The two fought and argue causing the Princess to destroy the tapestry that her mother work so hard on, and the queen destroyed her beloved bow." Merida stopped.
"That is when the Princess ran away, she rode on her horse to find wisps. Wisps that had to lead her to a witch. The witch gave her a spell in which... Would change her fate... A spell that would change her mother. She went back home with a cake that had the spell inside it, her mother eat it and turned into... A bear!"
"A bear?" Nanna tiled her head.
"Aye, a bear."
"Why a bear? That doesn't make sense." Alison places a hand not her chin trying to think of a reason.
Hiccup was laughing as he pulled his two daughters closer to him, he then motioned to their mother as they looked at him.
"Come girls, let your mother finish." Hiccup smiled.
"The princess didn't understand why the spell had changed her mother into a bear. She could have sworn she told the witch a spell that could change her fate. So the Princess and the Queen sneaked through the castle, careful of the King. Once they reached the Witch's house, the witch was no longer there. There she left a message for the Princess.'By the second sunrise, the spell will be permanent." Merida paused.
"The witch told her to remember these words. 'Fate be changed. Look inside, mend the bond torn by pride.' With only that to go by, the Princess tried her hardest to find out what those words meant. As the second day passed they had lost hope, but a wisp had appeared again to show them their answer."
"They showed them where the Prince had also used the same spell, showing the Princess the tapestry she had torn was the answer." Eldrid had continued for his mom.
"Eldrid!" His sisters scolded him.
"I've heard this story already." Eldrid laid down looking at his parents.
"Yes but ya sisters haven't, not more interruptions." Everyone stayed silent to allow Merida to continue.
"They raced on the last day to get back to the castle to get to the tapestry, they had to sneak inside without anyone seeing them. But because the spell had caused the queen to act like a bear at that moment which had confused the king into thinking the queen was killed. He looked her daughter inside her room chasing the queen outside. The princess race with time and with the help of her three brothers she was able to get out and sew the torn in the tapestry." Merida smiled.
"The Princess fought off her father's men to protect her mother and covered her mother with the tapestry. As the sun had raised it had seemed as though she spell will never be broken, but as the sun came up her mother was back to her old self. That is how both the Queen and the Princess learn about listening to one and another and seeing each other's ways." Merida finished.
She notices all of the girls had yawned nodding their head off, Hiccup tucked the girls in as Merida went to Eldrid and kissed his forehead.
"Aye'll give ya tips. Tomorrow." Eldrid blushed as he turned around acting as though he didn't hear what his mother said.
Merida laughed as she and Hiccup walked out of the room staring at the kids before.
"We love ya guys." Merida smiled.
"Love you mama! Papa!" The girls said together.
"Thanks, mom, dad. Love you guys." They closed the door smiling at each other.
"I can't add anything?" Hiccup smirked.
"Uch, ya can tell it your way if ya telling the story." Hiccup laughed as he kissed his wife.
AN: Hope you like it! Yes, I have Hiccup and Merida had triplets. Eldrid is probably 12-14 around this time, and the girls are 8-9 around there.
