Alexia: AHHHHHHHHH!
A lucrative scream came out of alexia's mouth as she stood right up in a frantic panic and flailed around angrily. In her panic she knocked over several objects like the lamp by her bedside and a book that was placed near ben's bed.
Ben: ….!
She suddenly realized that she was awake and stopped panicking.
Alexia: What was that? Salami….. was that a nightmare?
Alexia was puzzled. She rarely if never, had nightmares or scary dreams.
Ben: Mmm! Are you okay?
Alexia: Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little rattled is all.
Ben: Did you have a bad dream?
Alexia: Of sorts, yes.
Ben: Was it a falling one or a chasing one?
Alexia: What?
Ben: Well nightmares usually fall into those two categories. One's where your either running away from something or one where you are falling from a predetermined height.
Alexia: Really? I didn't know that.
She then paused for a second.
Alexia: (What is with this kid? One minute he's a dolt the other minute he's like a scholar.)
Alexia: Well, I didn't have either of those…..
Ben: What kind of nightmare did you have?
Alexia: It was….
Alexia found it difficult to describe what exactly she had seen in her dream. It was so terrifying that not even she could find the courage to talk about it. Even if she could, would she really want to admit to ben that she was involved in a murder?
Alexia: I can't really describe it….
Ben: Oh?
Alexia: It's too terrifying.
She said.
Ben: Ok then. I'll go back to sleep and think about it.
Ben turned over in his bed and went back to sleep. His chains rattled as he did but it did not seem to bother him.
Alexia: (What an odd boy.)
Alexia: ( Still though, do I really feel bad about salami's death…? Am I murderer?)
Alexia's mind was foggy as she layed back down in her bed. Salami's death still loomed over her mind, It was definitely something she couldn't forget. A plan to kill her uncle had turned into a murder of an somewhat innocent royal knight. The blood was on her hands and now she'll have to reap the consequences.
Alexia tried to go back to sleep but that haunting nightmare never seemed to leave her mind. Everytime she was close to falling asleep, She saw salami's creeping face in the back of her head.
Morning came quick after that. Time seemed to pass quickly as Alexia could get no sleep. All she heard that night was Ben's snoring and the chirping of birds.
Knight: Awaken Prisoner!
Alexia turned over in her bed to see a knight standing in the door frame.
Knight: Good morning princess alexia.
The knight said.
Alexia: …..
Alexia: What are you doing here?
Knight: I am here to inform you about what is going to transpire today.
The knight proclaimed.
Knight: You are leaving this castle tomorrow and will be handed over to the king's authorities.
Alexia: Yes, and?
Knight: We want you to look your best for the king, Even if you are a prisoner.
Alexia: ….
Knight: So the faculty of this castle will clean you up, groom you and make you a new set of parchments.
The knight explained.
Alexia: W-What? All that for me?
Knight: Do not flatter yourself. We just want to give the king the impression that we treated you well here.
Alexia: Ah. Charming.
*Shink*
The sounds of metal clanking could be heard as ben got up from his bed.
Ben: What about me?
Knight: ….
The knight paused.
Ben: I don't think I even know why i'm here.
Knight: Lord Elison shall decide your fate later.
Ben: Lord who?
Knight: You've forgotten already? You're a dolt.
Ben: You don't need to mean, geez.
Knight: Ah, Forget it. Ask the foreman when he comes to you tomorrow.
The knight exclaimed.
Knight: For now, You're coming with me princess.
The knight forcefully grabbed alexia's hand and pushed her out of the room. She didn't even try to resist this time as she knew she was just a slave to the system we call calamity.
