Set post 8x14. Thomas and Donna has been dating for a while now. Donna's in trouble and asks Scottie for help for a legal matter and to add to that, Harvey can't find out about it.

Chapter 1

"You're not my client, Mrs. Evans. Unless you got married within 3 months til I last saw you. But as far as I know you're dating Kessler, not Evans" Dana Scott thought she was having a meeting with a client, except it wasn't. Donna knew Scottie's secretary and just used her Donna way to get into a meeting with her right away.

"Look at you, keeping up with who I'm dating" Donna was already in Scottie's office patiently waiting for her to finish at the conference room. Scottie took a seat at her desk, opposite to Donna.

"Seriously, why are you here Donna? Don't tell me Harvey's in trouble again" Scottie can't think of any reason why Donna would come to her office. But when Harvey's in trouble he usually comes to her himself and doesn't send Donna, especially now that she's not his secretary anymore.

"I need you to handle my case" Donna answered straight to the point.

"What?!" Scottie didn't expect what Donna just said. She was shocked because not in a thousand years Scottie imagined Donna asking her for a legal help.

"I'm being sued. Well technically it's my sister's company but I'm a cosigner. I took the fall and I could lose all my money and assets if I don't win" Donna handed the folder to Scottie.

"And why aren't you coming to Harvey about this? Or to the other lawyers in your firm? To Louis?" Scottie doesn't know why Donna is coming to her when she works at a law firm. Hell, Harvey would help her in a heartbeat, because like everyone else, she knows what Donna meant to Harvey and what

"Because you promised you'd steer clear of Harvey"

"And you don't want Harvey to find out about this" It wasn't a question but a statement that Scottie made. There's no other reason as to why Donna's coming to her about a case.

"May I ask why?" Scottie's confused as hell as to why Donna doesn't want Harvey to find out.

"It's personal" Donna stated. Scottie sensed that Donna doesn't want to fully share the reason why she's coming to her and not to Harvey or to the other lawyers at her firm.

"Well yeah Donna this is personal but if you want me to be your lawyer, you have to tell me everything. And you want me to keep a secret from Harvey about you and your case! Do you know what he'll do if he finds out about this?!" Scottie insisted. She knows Harvey would be furious if he finds out that Donna didn't come to him about a legal matter, moreover the fact that she was the one who handled the case and didn't tell him.

Donna took a deep breath. Everything that Scottie said was true, what would Harvey feel when he finds out about this. But she can't think of Harvey's feeling right now. She's being sued for fuck's sake and Harvey's feeling should be the last thing on her mind but it isn't. With that, she also needs to trust Scottie. She was the one who came to Scottie in the first place. She decided to tell Scottie the reason why she didn't ask Harvey to help her and told her everything about the case. She wants the case to go off quietly, meaning Scottie needs to settle with the other party.

She was already leaving when Scottie said something…

"Donna, I promise I'll get you out of this…And thank you for trusting me"

"Thanks Scottie. I owe you"

"You don't owe me anything. Let's call it quits?" Scottie suggested. After all, Donna was the one who convinced Harvey so she wouldn't be put to prison.

"If you get me out of it, then it is." Donna said jokingly. Deep inside she knows Scottie will get her out of it because just like Harvey, Scottie is a damn good lawyer. She is really the female version of Harvey.

Donna had left her office and Scottie doesn't know what to feel about the case. She knows she can settle and even win it if it goes to trial. What's making her uneasy is the fact that she has to keep it from Harvey, the man she loves or loved who she knows is in love with someone else and she knows that someone else is Donna. He just couldn't realize it. She thinks everyone else knows except Harvey and maybe Donna. Or does she know?

P.S. I wouldn't go further into details of Donna's case, what she's getting sued for.
