The African sun had started to spread her golden finger tips across the quite beautiful Never Lands. The sun had crept into the cave where Sabra and her friends were lying.
The golden rays warmed her light beige body before a yawn escaped as she blinked her brown eyes open. Sabra stretched before walking out of the cave where she breathed in the fresh air. The light beige lioness smiled at the beauty of her new land.
Sabra decided to take a little walk. In hopes of getting to know the area and to get some water to quench her dry throat. Sabra didn't get to far from the cave before she felt someone bump into her leg.
Sabra looked down and seen a creamy-white cub shaking his head.
"Are you alright, little guy?"
The cub looked up with dizziness swirling in his brown eyes before he shook his head and put a paw to his head. "I'm okay."
Sabra smiled. "I'm Sabra. I'm new here with some friends. What's your name?"
A smile formed across the cub's muzzle before he started to jump up and down, 'whoo-hooing'. Earning a small laugh from Sabra.
"Yes! I'm the first one!"
Sabra giggled as the cub finally sat down. "The first one for what?"
"The first out of my friends to meet you!"
"Did you succeed?"
The cub nodded. "Yeah I did!"
Sabra shook her head as three cubs came running over.
"Luis!"
The cub and Sabra looked and seen the cubs run over to the creamy-white cub's side. One on the left and two on the right.
"And who are you little guys?" Sabra smiled at the new cubs.
The creamy-white cub, Luis looked at his friends and introduce them in order. He started with the two on his right. One was dull cream with medium brown ear rims and a black tuff on his head. The other cub was a light gold.
"These two are Jashua and Kaden." then Luis looked at the brownish cub on his left. "And this fireball is Rani."
The brownish cub rolled her amber eyes."Sariel and Anissa are looking for you."
"Yes we were."
Sabra and the cubs looked and seen Sariel with Kion and a teenage creamy lioness. Once the three walked over the group was joined by Desta and Sãhasí.
"Morning dad."
Sariel smiled at his son before introducing the creamy teen. "This is Anissa, my good eye."
Sabra's brown eyes widen at the sight before her eyes. There was four claw marks going down Sariel's right eye which is shut close. Sabra wondered why she didn't noticed the scar last night.
Sabra shook her head when she felt someone nudge her shoulder. Sabra looked to the source and seen Desta looking at her with concern.
"Are you alright?"
Sabra looked around and noticed that Sabra was leading the others away. With a sigh and a small smile the light beige lioness nodded. "Just thinking."
Desta searched her eyes for the truth and found a lot of emotions. "About what?"
Sabra looked away, she didn't know what to say. She had been thinking but not just about his father's scar. But about him. She had a crush on him for a while now and now that cub crush has turned into pure love.
Desta took his large paw and moved Sabra's head where she was made to look in his dark purple eyes. The brownish lion gasped at the feelings swimming around in her eyes.
Sabra pulled away as tears began to fall. "I'm sorry,"
"How long?"
Silence filled the air as Sabra silently weeped. Desta frowned before repeating with a little force. "How long?!"
Sabra sobbed uncontrollably. "Since we were cubs."
"Why didn't you tell me!"
Sabra had tears falling down her face. "I was afraid. You would hate me. That you wouldn't feel the same."
Desta looked at the bright blue sky before looking back at Sabra and sighed. "You silly lioness. Why would I hate you?"
Sabra's eyes widen at the contact of Sabra nuzzling her lovingly. Sabra sighed deeply before closing her eyes and returning the affection.
"I love you too, Sabra."
Was the last thing the light beige heard before everything went into a white haze.
