Okay, this is the second part of my POV series, I'm really only (and yes, Word, I know that's not grammatically correct now. ) doing this to experiment with different views and playing about with genre's, right now I've got it planned out for it to go:
2nd POV 3rd POV 1st POV and maybe later I'll check out the 'twitter POV'/4th POV which is a confusing mix of 3rd and 1st POV.
Ignore me, I'm confusing even myself right now.
Enjoy,

Short
1.
He's short, he knows this, but it will never stop him from loving this sport, will never make him feel ashamed that sometimes he needs help getting things from a tall shelf, that sometimes, even now as an adult, he isn't allowed on a few rollercoasters.
Because no matter how short he is, he will always feel that sensation.
The sting of his hand after it pushed against the hard rubber of the ball, feeling as gravity seems to stop for a moment before it all comes crashing back to earth and the ball is slamming down, with that whoosh noise he loves so much, on the other side of the court, the cheer of his teammates as they realize, we've won!
But of course, he didn't always feel this way.
It was hard to get to where he is now, happy and content on one of the best teams in Brazil, he's seen a good amount of the world, and he can't wait to travel further! To win just one more game would be the best feeling in the world!
So, he does, he wins, and he wins until he cannot win anymore.
2.
His story starts in a small hospital, born to a young couple who had no idea of what they were doing, it's not the easiest of starts, but he made the best of it.
3.
When his younger sister is born, he's ecstatic, leaping about the room in excitement as his father looks at him with a grin before joining him in his tirade as the nurses' stare in either disapproval or barely concealed amusement at the father son duo.
That's also the day he screams to the world, quite literally, he will grow big and strong like his dad to protect his precious imouto!
His father sometimes repeats those words to him now as an adult, he never did grow all that tall.
4.
He's not the best student in school but he does try! Well, not really... but who really cares, huh?! He still manages to pass his classes, if barely.
When the middle school his parents applied him to look at his grades for the first time, they scoff and say nothing much will come out of him, but he'll prove them wrong, yeah! He may struggle a bit with learning but who cares about that? Certainly not him!
It's a week into summer break, when he's biking down to get shopping for his family because they're out of milk that his ears catch the words 'Little Giant', he finds himself stopping and looking over at the small TV in the store window, catches sight of the small teenager that leaps into the air and slams a ball down into the wooden floor of the polished court.
And he falls in love.
5.
After that day he pesters his father in a never-ending manner topleasebuyhimaballhepromiseshelltakecareofit!
Eventually his fathers will is shattered into a million pieces at his desperation and he takes him out to a sports store, questions him about what type of ball he wants before eventually they both settle on a good quality ball that's not too cheap nor expensive.
He stays up that whole night tossing the ball in the air and trying to hit it like the boy on television.
6.
When he gets back from break, he practically breaks down the staff room as he shoves it open, and screams at the top of his lungs, "Can I join the boys' volleyball team?!"
He's quick to slump over in disappointment when the only teacher around is blunt to tell him that the school doesn't have a boys' team, only a girls'.
It doesn't dissuade him.
7.
Every morning before school he'll wait for the janitor to open the gym hall before sprinting inside and running to the changing room to get ready to practice, he starts by throwing it up and swinging his arm forward as hard as he can towards that ball, only to miss it.
He doesn't give up, he skips hanging out with his only friends in school after the day ends and instead keeps himself company in the gym, eventually he works up the courage to ask the girls' team to help him practice, he was expecting them to laugh, to mock him.
Instead, they smile and teach him all the small tips and tricks they have been taught or shown over the years, they let him hang around with them and he makes good friends with a few to the point where talking to girls doesn't get him all flustered anymore! And that's awesome cause there are tons of pretty girls on the team and they like to tease him so much it feels like his face is going to EXPLODE!
It doesn't though, thank the volleyball gods, cuz that would be gross!
8.
In his last year of middle school, he corners his friends and gets down on his hands and knees for them to form a team with him, because he really wants to go to middle school championships this year!
They agreed because he weirded them out, but he'll take what he can get!
They don't even make it past the first round, and he can't help but feel the depression and frustration beginning to boil over as he tightly clenches him hands, he leaves to kick something to get rid of excess stress, but then he catches sight of that smug bastard from the other team that completely crushed him and his friends.
He stops him before he gets on the bus and roars at him that he will beat him one day, the damn teme just looks at him and smirks, "sure."
And he had never hated someone so much before now.
9.
He sends in his application to Karasuno high, because its either there or nowhere, and he's screaming to the stars in happiness when, after those hellish and brutal exams, he's told he got in, even if only barely!
The first day he wakes up early, combs his hair, brushes his teeth, washes his face and slaps a smile on his lips before getting dressing and exiting the house like an orange whirlwind, before not even ten seconds later he's slamming the door back open because he left his book bag back in his room, again.
10.
After orientation and the first school day finally crawls to an end, he bolts out his last classes door, ignoring the teacher's screaming for him to get back in there and wait for him to finish talking damnit!
He practically skips into the gym, before he stops dead.
Because that Bastard is there, and whyisheherethisishischancesowhydidhehavetocomeHERE?!
He asks as much and gets an insult thrown at him for his troubles, the captain of the boys' team doesn't do much to lift his spirits', crushing them further when he tells him that they haven't been a powerhouse school for near enough a decade, and he nearly screams bull!
11.
He finds out later that teme's name is Kageyama Tobio, of course he finds this s out just seconds before the prick gets them thrown out the gym until they can 'get along'.
STUPID TEME!
12.
Thank god for Senpai, is his only thought after bald guy comes along and says he'll open the gym for him, as the vice-captain swear them to secrecy.
A few days later they go up against the other first years and CRUSH them! Take that you stupid bean sprout, is his only thought after he hears the slam of the ball down onto the floor of the court and the hot sting of pain that shots through his palm, the feeling sending sparks of joy running up his spine.
13.
Their first practice match is planned by his new club advisor, he looks like he going to cry.
Is his first thought when he first sees him before it's taken over by excitement, before that once again is soured when he hears about the conditions and he sends a glare towards Kageyama-bastards head, so he knows how annoyed at him he is!
14.
He throws up on the bus.
He spent the next half hour begging for Baldy-Senpai's forgiveness.
15.
His team was kinda winning? And then everyone got distracted by the shrieks coming from Grand King's fangirls'.
They were loud, and coming from him? That meant something.
They still end up winning and he's just begging to go and rub it into Aouba Johsai's face, but he's dragged away before he gets the chance to let out more than an ecstatic, "HA WE WON!" He can't help but lament about how unfair it is that he gets dragged whilst Baldy-Senpai is free to do as he wants.
He will get his revenge!
16.
He doesn't.
17.
It's after that he finds out they have another Senpai on the team, a libero.
And get this! He's shorter than he is! Noya-Senpai is pretty cool, if a little weird with the team manager but Baldy-Senpai is too and she doesn't seem to mind too much, though sometimes it looks like she's contemplating the pros and cons of murder if they don't stop fawning over her.
Hey, he finally used fawning in the right context! Suck on that English teacher who said he sucked with words!
He manages to get Noya back on the team and he's glad, because now he's not the shortest on the team anymore and Bean Sprout can't mock him for his height anymore cuz there's someone shorter then him for once!
18.
He feels like a cult member worshipping their lord as he drags the giant of a player to the gym.
The one Baldy-Senpai calls Volleyball Jesus. Noya-Senpai thinks that's ridiculous. He just thinks that Asahi-Senpai should stop scrunching up his face if he doesn't want people to think he's a delinquent.
Because he got the Volleyball Jesus to listen to his short carrot top self without having to get down on his hands and knees once!
Of course, that practice match against the Nekoma team probably helped.
19.
He's not really sure if he likes the new coach Ukai.
He's kinda mean, and where does he get off calling him Carrot top, eh?!
20.
After that match with Nekoma he still keeps in touch with Kenma, he's a pretty cool guy wants you get past him being reeeeeeeeeaaaaalllllly quiet of course!
He doesn't mind really, he's just glad he can be friends with such and awesomely talented dude!
21.
When it's time for the Interhigh tournament he can't help but feel both queasy and excited!
They go up against some dude from Daichi-Senpai's middle school, and kinda restore his faith in the sport, and he can't even begin to think about what it would be like to lose your faith in volleyball, it's practically the only thing keeping him alive!
Their next match, Date Tech, is HARD and Jesus-Senpai is really really anxious and it's making him anxious and it all starts spiraling before BOOM they beat those suuuuuuuuuper tall jerks!
Like seriously, how can they be so tall?! Japanese males on average are only really five feet tall, so how the hell are all these people taller than him?! Their all freaks he says, all of them, he's the only normal one amongst the volleyball community!
22.
Their next match after that is Aoba Josai, and he thinks, we'll crush them!
Because of course he did, they had won that practice match after all and that means they were the better team!
He keeps that ideology up until the score is getting ridiculously high and everyone's getting tired and they start getting sluggish and then suddenly the ball is flying past him and he and many others lunge to receive it.
They fail and go home losers.
23.
Everyone was depressed after the match, but their spirits were raised after they were told about a club trip to Tokyo to help them improve by training with other schools like Fukurōdani Academy, and Nekoma High.
He meets Ushijima for the first time that same afternoon after he begins to despair about the exam.
All he can think after meeting, as he and Kageyama walk back is I'm gonna beat that guy!
24.
Him and Kageyama fail their English exams and their damned to hell, they're not allowed to go to the trip!
Everyone leaves whilst he and Kageyama take the make-up test, and al he can think about is his team and how he should be there to help them, how he needs to finish this exam and get there before it's too late because he doesn't want to sound mean or anything but without him and Bastard their pretty much sitting ducks.
Him and Bastard finish the make-up test and haul ass out the school like a dehydrated man who's just seen water for the first time in years.
They see Baldy-Senpai's sister and toss themselves into her weird little van without second thought, before immediately shoving their seat belts on because if they don't they will DIE from this crazy lady's driving!
25.
They arrive in the middle of a match and he feels relief that they've made it before the day is up, before both Kageyama and him get changed and get back to the team. His team.
26.
He doesn't like Lev, dumb Russian's too goddamn tall, stupid cat and his giant noodle arms.
27.
When he decides it's time to try out that quick that he and Kageyama could become a force of nature with, he feels confident!
Until that stupid BASTARD starts picking a fight and he can't hold himself back anymore, lunging forward they start to throw each other around as Yachi, the girl he convinced to try and tutor and Kageyama for the exams a while ago, finds Baldy-Senpai and he quickly breaks them up.
He's quick to storm off in rage.
28.
He walks home with Yachi that night and apologizes, smiling at her softly as he tells her that he shouldn't have gotten her involved.
He tells her of his first meeting with the Bastard and she listens and as they spilt off he thanks her, walking off to his home feeling lighter then he ever has before.
The next day he asks for help training, Coach Ukai drags him over to some old guy and he finds himself shivering in terror as he realizes this is THE original coach Ukai that made the Little Giant a legend!
He trains until his legs go numb, but even then, he never stops.
29.
He apologizes to Baldy- no, Tanaka-Senpai, the next morning for his actions.
His senpai waves him off, and he feels relief that nothing as has changed and no resentment is being held.
Everything was okay with Bastard too, they did that quick attack, even if it only had a fifty fifty chance of working, too so... take that Bastard you were wrong!
30.
The Spring High Preliminary's pop up out of nowhere, but he can't wait! He's been waiting to make a comeback ever since the loss against Aouba Johsai reminded him not to get overconfident, he can't wait to beat that team with Kageyama and his new quick attack!
August 11th couldn't come by fast enough as far as he's concerned!
31.
Karasuno enters the stadium and warms up, and soon enough, before long their first match up against Ohgiminami begins!
Karasuno was quick to clinch the first set easily with him and Kageyama's new quick, managing to hit the floor and gaining the last point for the first set, they dominate the rest of the second set too.
Done with the match, he and his teammates are quick to cheer and pat each other on the back before moving to wait for their next match against Kakugawa as they finish playing up against another high school.
And as he looks forward and catches sight of the player who looks like he's two goddamn meters tall! He can't help but gulp and pray to the gods that giant doesn't come anywhere near him.
When their match against Kakugawa begins, it's a struggle with the points because that guy is so tall that its unfair and he can barely get the ball to scrape bast before Bastard mentions the new quick and they take the set.
The second set sings the same song and they take that as well, leaving the court as winners.
32.
Johzenji was not a school to be underestimated.
Karasuno wins the first set but it's a close match after he and Kageyama had to leave the court, Kageyama because of a nosebleed, him because he doesn't have much use without the setter to toss the quicks.
He and his team win when Johzenji's ball goes out.
33.
The next match goes much the same as the other three, a struggle for power before they come out on top.
But it's the rematch against Aouba Johsai that really gets his blood pumping.
A chance for revenge, he can practically taste it. And he can't wait for his short-term dream to become a reality.
And it does.
After a furious power struggle between them and the tension was brewing, every quick he and Kageyama was blocked, switching out with Yamaguichi was the best choice they had ever made.
It shifts between the two teams for what seems like hours before, finally.
Karasuno wins.
He can remember the euphoria he felt as he stared down at the hand that had helped him win the match, and as he clenches it tightly, he can't help but let a few tears of happiness leak out the corners of his eyes as the cheers of his team echo around him feeling their happiness wrap around him like a blanket, he turns around and leaps to join them in their celebrations.
34.
It's a tense day when they come back, the joy from the other day not fully dissipated but they know it won't for a while, but they are quick to put their game faces on.
Shiratorizawa will be neigh impossible to defeat but they will do it! He swears will the hand that helped him get this far that he will not fail is team, he will win!
Karasuno wins the match.
Karasuno wins the mother ducking match!
He feels himself burst into tears as the emotions hit him and he launches himself into his teammates arms as they all wail, praying for it to not be a dream.
35.
Kageyama-teme was invited to an All-Japan Youth intensive training camp.
He stares at the taller boy wordlessly, feeling a bitter piece of jealously as he hears Tsukishima, surprisingly, also got invited to an alternative training camp held by Shiratorizawa's coach.
He feels overwhelmed, and slightly resentful of the fact that he was not invited to any of the training camps. To his dismay, both Bastard and Bean Sprout seem to be moving forward as better volleyball players.
He sneaks into Tsukishima's training camp, gets found, yelled at and told to go home.
He refuses, and the coach in charge and Ukai relent, he's given the sucky position of ball boy for his troubles.
Well, he'll just have to be the best ball boy ever seen then!
36.
He later learns, after a thorough scolding from coach Ukai that he shouldn't just expect to be allowed to crash games like he had.
Thoroughly criticized he begins to think over all the times he interrupted peoples training because he thought it was okay.
He doesn't like how many times his mind shows him that he did something without being asked.
37.
Many more things happen from that point on, and he continues to suffer both losses and wins throughout his highschool career, maturing and turning into a respectable young man who'll go far in the volleyball community.
He will take the world by storm!
38.
After he graduates, he high tails it over to Brazil and starts learning the basics all over again on the sandy beaches where the sun mercilessly beats down on him, he doesn't let that bright star stop him!
Instead, he draws from its energy and pushes himself further and further!
39.
A few years later he comes back to Japan and joins the MSBY Black Jackels. For the first and last time in years Kageyama and he stand on opposite sides of the net, both now professionals at their respective positions, grown up and no longer teenagers trying to up each other constantly with their need to feel superior.
For the first time in years, they stand opposite each other instead of next to each other, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Their teams fight valiantly against each other, both sides pulling out all the stops as they battle to win against the people they've known since their high school years.
In the end it's the MSBY Jackels who win, Bokuto winning that fatal last point and he leaps up and shrieks in joy, dragging his teammates together in a quick celebration before he runs back over to Kageyama, and grins.
"Guess you were wrong; I did win against you after all!"
40.
It's a couple years after that game, he's famous now, having joined Asas São Paulo, a professional team in the Brazil Super League.
He's finally made it, proved to the people who said he'd never go pro because of his height, he's finally beat them!
Hinata Shouyo starts out as a shorter than average kid on a normal highschool volleyball team, he finishes as a legendary player who has traveled the world, and learned all the joys of life, is still short, but that's his trademark!
To all those people who doubted him, all he has to say is,
"I may be small, but I can jump!"
