Prologue

Yamada Taro was a man who knew what he liked. He liked the books he read, he liked the meals he made for himself, the television he watched, the home he went to each day, etc. But above all, he liked his job. Not that was an all around fascinating job. Taking stock in a warehouse. Some might say it was boring. But gosh darn it, he liked it. It was simple, it was routine, and he liked it that way.
So when something went amiss, that's when he started to not like his job.
His eyebrow twitched in irritation as he looked down at his clipboard for what felt like the millionth time, making absolutely sure he was reading it right. 100 units in storage. A nice round number. So when he looked up at the 101st crate in front of him, he knew something was going on.
"Hey!" He called out. "Ito-buchou! We've got a problem over here!"
"What is it Yamada-san?" His boss grumbled, walking over to where his subordinate stood.
"Did we receive any deliveries from international?"
"None that I am aware of."
"Then what is this?" Yamada said, gesturing to the crate in front of them.
The offending object in question was relatively big, easily a head taller than the two men. But, given what they deal in, it was no big surprise. The front of the wooden crate had several things stamped on it. The first was the address to international headquarters somewhere out in the States. Below it was the serial number of the item. And plastered right in the middle of the dang thing was the company name & logo, written in English.
"Fazbear Entertainment"
The boss stared at it for a moment, surprised and a bit bewildered. "I...Hm…" He thought for a moment. There weren't any deliveries scheduled until next quarter, when they switched inventory. Even then, they had to manually fill in the order. Most in the company forget about the warehouse based out here in Kuoh. Given how they barely got any orders from that app of theirs here, one would guess that it was reasonable they wouldn't remember a place they barely profited from.
What's more, this came from international of all places. They usually got their stock from the Kyoto branch that in turn got from the Asian headquarters out in China. This was all the way from where the company was founded.
"I need to go check in with the boy's in Shipping & Deliver about this and see if they can contact corporate. Could possibly be a mistake in the company's shipping algorithm." The boss said. "Yamada-san, I need you to open the crate."
"What! Why?" Yamada boggled.
"While it's probably not ours, it's policy to make sure the product isn't damaged upon arrival. You know this, I know this, and the boy's up top make sure we know it." He said gruffly. Care and handling of the animatronics was priority number one, and he knew of people way above his position who've lost their jobs for a lot less when it came to these machines. "So I want you to do make sure this thing is still in one piece. Got it."
"But…"
"Good. Now, if you'll excuse me."
"Wait, sir!" Yamada called out, but his boss had already left him. Alone. To deal with this stupid, uncatagorized, box!
Muttering some obscenities under his breath, he unclipped the standard issue crowbar from his belt and began trying to unbox the blasted thing.
It took him a minute, but with one final pull, he pulled off the front lid. Causing it to fall on the floor with a crack of wood and floom of packing peanuts. He took one glance inside before very nearly jumping out of his skin.
Standing there was a bulky animatronic that looked like it had seen better days. It was a dull rotten green, with various bits of its casing having torn up, revealing the wires and endoskeleton beneath. It's shape was vaguely reminiscent of a rabbit.
"Ugh… It just had to be this one…" Yamada thought irritably, steadying his breath as he glared up at the monstrous animatronic.
Springtrap. A mangled up version of the Spring Bonnie animatronic that was birthed from the demented head of coporates pet game designer. Seriously, who would want this thing to entertain their children!? Well, at least it wasn't any of the Nightmare series. Or God-forbid the Jack-O's…
"Alright, big guy. Let's take a look at you…" He muttered as he moved closer to begin his inspection. He did a mental checklist as he looked over the robot. After a couple minutes, he could definitively say nothing was amiss. He stepped back, giving the animatronic one last appraising look before turning around. He unhooked his walkie-talkie.
"Hey, Buchou. I just finished up my inspection. It's a Springtrap unit. And aside from the manufactured wear and tear, everything is right as rain. Have they figured out what's going on with this guy yet? Over."
Static…
"Hey, Buchou. Do you copy? Over."
Still static…
"Buchou. Do you co- GAH!"
Yamada dropped his walkie-talkie as felt a static shock go through his arm. With the device breaking upon impact on the floor, releasing bright purple sparks. Wait… purple sparks? Was that a thing
He nursed his still stinging hand as he looked at the remains of his walkie-talkie in confusion, unaware of what was happening behind him. Unaware of the violet orbs that stared at his back.
"What in the- Hmph!" Yamada gasped as he felt a cold metal hand clamp over his mouth. A strong grip wrapped around his chest, restricting his movement. He tried to flail out of whatever had him caught, only to let out a muffled scream of pain as the grip tightened.
"Shhhh…" A static filled voice hushed. "There's no need for any of that, Mr. Taro."
Yamada's eyes widened in shock as heard the mechanical voice. No… It can't be… But it couldn't be anything else.
"That's right, Mr. Taro." Springtrap said. Before he could do anything; yell, call for help, anything; Yamada screamed as purple electricity arced across his body. His neck and back arched in pure agony, allowing him to look at the purple disks that stared right back at him.
"It's Me."

It was the end of the work day, and those of Fazbear Entertainments Animatronic Warehouse were very glad of that. With many of them having already left in droves.
"Hey, Yamada-san!"
The aforementioned man turned around on his route to his car. "Yes?"
Another man ran up to the warehouse clerk, a cheery smile on his face. "Me and some of the boy's are thinking of heading out to get some drinks. Wanna come with?"
"I'm afraid I have to decline. I have some business to take care of."
"Bah! Foiled again, it seems. One of these days, I'm gonna rope you into having fun one of these days." The man said, not all dampered by the other man's dismissal. "Well, have a good night, Yamada-san. Like the shades, by the way."
Yamada Taro waved as the man left, a small smirk on his face as he made his way to his car. Once he got inside, he took off his sunglasses and adjusted his rearview mirror. Bright violet eyes twinkling from them with mirth as he started the car.
