This is going to be the last chapter for this story, but I will be doing a sequel.

*Five Months Later*
Bruce POV
Barbara and I have been together for six months now. Not too long after her attack, I moved her into Wayne Manor. She was already spending all her time here anyways so it just didn't make sense for her to keep her apartment. Not to mention how relieving it was that I didn't have to worry about the Joker showing up again. We still haven't heard anything from him, but this is what he does. He'll pop up eventually and when he does, we'll be ready for him.
Laying in bed, I think about my day before going to find Barbara. She wasn't in bed when I woke up this morning, but looking over to the balcony, I see her leaning against the railing. She has one of my button-up shirts on and the morning breeze is blowing through her hair. She looks like the definition of perfection and makes me wonder what I have done to deserve her.
Tonight we have our yearly anniversary diner for my parents. When I turned 20 I started this annual diner in order to honor them and allow all those who they affected and affect them to kind of show honor to what they did for this city. Knowing that Barbara hasn't seen me yet, I walk over to my underwear drawer and look at the small box that's sitting in the back. I got this ring about three months into our relationship. It's a big diamond, but also modest.
I know that Barbara isn't the type of woman to flaunt me or herself in front of others. The ring is big enough for others to see it, to know that she's taken and that they won't have her. I know it's possessive but I can't help but be anything else around her. Closing the drawer after grabbing a pair of boxers, I walk out to the balcony before wrapping my arms around her. Sighing, she leans back into me before turning her head for a kiss.
Barbara POV
Leaning into the arms that wrap around me, I turn my head up for a kiss. Luckily, I don't have to wait long before Bruce covers my lips with his. It's a slow passionate kiss, almost like we're exploring each other for the first time. Turning around, I wrap my arms around his neck as he picks me up and takes me back to bed. Removing his shirt from me, he kisses every inch of skin he can find before removing his boxers. Kissing up my legs, his mouth quickly finds my center, his tongue circling my clit. Spreading my legs wider, I groan while tugging my nipples.
Suddenly, he moves above me before slamming into me. Moaning loudly, my nails dig into his back, urging him to go faster and help us find the release we both need. He moves faster and faster, his hips slamming against mine while his mouth moves to my chest, leaving marks around my breasts. He's lucky my dress for tonight will cover them or else we would be doing something very different. The only sounds in the room are our moans and skin slapping against each other while he moves faster against me.
Reaching my peak, he covers my mouth as I moan out before groaning himself. Falling on top of me I stroke his back, cradling him in between my legs, as he buries his head in my neck.
"Hi" I whisper against his ear, realizing that we hadn't really greeted each other yet.
Chuckling, he kisses my neck before looking at me.
"Hi"
*Later That Evening*
Walking into the tent that Bruce had set up for tonight with my Boyfriend's arm wrapped around me, my eyes immediately go to the huge photo of his parents in the front of the tent. My heart aches for him, but it also makes me so proud of how he turned out. Others would have given up and let their lives go to waste, but Bruce persevered and made something out of himself.
Leaning down, he kisses just below my neck before whispering in my ear. "You look absolutely delectable right now. I might have to sneak you away to the limo later on." Looking up at him I wink before mouthing later at him.
Approaching out table, I notice my dad is already seated along with Dick and Tim. Alfred should be sitting with us but he never can seem to sit down and relax. I wouldn't be surprised if he was talking to the planner, making sure everything was going smoothly.
I'm wearing an off the shoulder, dark blue dress with a leg slit. It's definitely more modest than the dress I wore to my first outing with Bruce.
"Daddy!" Chuckling he hugs me before swinging me around.
"Hey, sweetheart. How're you doing? Bruce treating you well?" Looking over at Bruce I put my hand in his elbow.
"We're doing great Dad, no need to worry." Pulling me into a hug he kisses my head.
What is going on with everyone tonight? Bruce was very antsy the whole ride over and now my Dad is acting all sappy.
"Are you sure he deserves you? Just say the word and I'll move you across the country."
Laughing I pull back from him. "He's it for me Dad. You don't have to worry, Bruce would never hurt me on purpose." Smiling up at Bruce I kiss his cheek. "I can't live without him." Just as my Dad is about to respond, Bruce grabs ahold of my attention.
"I have to go make my speech." I nod, thinking that he was going up by himself until he reaches for my hand, pulling me up to the stage.
Laughing, I follow his antics, wondering what he has planned. When we get up on stage, my cheeks heat as he wraps his arm around my waist.
"Excuse me, everyone." He gains the attention of the crowd. "Thank you. I just wanted to thank everyone for coming. I know it would really mean a lot to my parents. They always thought that Gotham was the most beautiful city in the world. I grew up with that same motion, and I hope that the future generations of Gotham will too. I know that things might not seem that great right now, that there's no hope for us, but it will get better. So thank you all, so much, for coming. I truly appreciate it."
"My parents taught me at a very young age, to not take for granted everything around us. My mother especially, always told me that life was the most beautiful thing as long as I made the most of it. Growing up, I could see how much my parents valued this opinion, as I believed they found it in each other. After they died, I thought that I would never really understand what they meant by that. That the hope of finding what they found was lost," Turning to me, he continues to speak while looking at me. "Until I met Barbara."
Gasps sound throughout the room as he drops down on one knee. "What are you doing?" Laughing, he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a small box before showcasing the beautiful ring held inside. "I know that I'm kind of hectic sometimes, that I'm a rich kid with issues, but I'm hoping that you'll be with me anyways. Barbara, will you marry me?"
A sob escapes me as I nod frantically, feeling the ring slip on my finger before Bruce stands up. When we kiss as cheering and applauding sounds throughout the tent. I don't really focus on that, I just look at Bruce in the eyes before kissing him against, feeling his smile against my lips.
"I love you." I sob.
Grinning he responds back. "I love you too."
Joker's still on the lose and Gotham still needs lots of work, but as long as I have Bruce here, I'm ok with everything that gets thrown at us. Who knew, Batman and Batwoman was a match made in heaven.
That's it for this story, I'll post an update here when I start the sequel. I will be doing a different story before that but I'll post it eventually.
