PART III

Eanor

「Act 56: Arrival on Eanor

North Unknown Regions, Eanor, 37 ABY

Anakin and Luke watched Ben flying the Falcon towards the Northern parts of the Unknown Regions. The Falcon bumped out of lightspeed into rough space; it felt as though he were passing through gravel. Ben checked the navigation screen, and Luke's notes that Rey had given him a bit earlier. That, and the Force. Ben drew on all the stress and fear of last month's incidents. His flight steadied, he sent the Falcon to the next set of coordinates. This time, instead of the streaming stars of hyperspace, his ship entered a glowing blue web like the one he had crossed when he visited Exegol. Only this one was much larger; it was covering every corner of the North Unknown Regions.

"His strength returns," observed Luke; Ben seemed now more balanced than ever. Even in so much pain and grief, Ben Solo seemed somehow whole. Like those months around, Rey and the others had offered him some amount of healing.

Ben kept piloting the Falcon; most pilots, when traveling faster-than-light for a while, used the time to stretch, do some interior checks and maintenance, or even sleep. But Ben didn't dare let his guard down. He had to be ready for anything. Besides, he had started hearing whispers that time and distance became near meaningless in exotic space.

"That wound will never fully heal. He will carry it for the rest of his life." said Anikin, "He will carry his past as long as he lives."

Ben had no idea exactly when they would revert to realspace or what would be waiting for them there. It seemed as though only a short time had passed before the Falcon lurched out of the web and slowed down. They had reached the North Unknown Regions, and the space seemed familiar. It wasn't as spooky as Exegol; it just seemed a normal part of the area. Ben had to check the navi-computer to make sure that they had reached their destination.

"And yet to have come so far, still bearing the past, he has shown extraordinary resilience and strength," Luke answered as he was still looking at his nephew. He could even see that raw power free inside him. In the past, he thought it was darkness, but he was so wrong.

"It is a burden he should never have had to bear. We can ask no more of Ben. Although we will." Anakin leaned his body to take a better look as the Falcon had approached Eanor.

The planet seemed to be on fire; it seemed that it used to be filled with life, trees, and Rivers. But now half of had fallen to its ruins. It had two moons and one sun, and the solar system included more planets. Ben thought they would only find the planet of Eanor, but he was wrong. He placed the location the Falcon should land to keep safe from the enemy to spot them.

"Anakin, Delkor's forces are massing in the North parts," Luke noted. He had started to hate their ability to show up where ever they wanted, which allowed them to know things more accessible these days. But it took them always too much of their Force energy to accomplish that.

"His treachery runs deeper than you know. By foul craft, that darkness he managed to obtain rose the danger Ben and the others will face." Anakin revealed, he had paid close attention to Delkor and his abilities to manipulate the new darkness. Unfortunately, Anakin kept an eye on Delkor for years because he had his reason, a reason he had not yet shared with anyone.

"This cannot be concealed by the power of them..." Luke said, "Ben hasn't yet crafted his lightsaber, and Rey hasn't even found a crystal."

"This burden belongs to them; they have to figure out how to fight it." Anakin sighed, "We aided them enough; we cannot interfere."

"You'll stand and watch without helping. When your favorite grandson is in danger?" Luke rose an eyebrow.

Anakin looked at him, deadly serious. "I have done it before, all those years he was calling for Darth Vader. You think I cannot do it again?"

"Indeed, why haven't you talk to him back then. If you did, he might not have fallen to the dark side." Luke acknowledged.

"He was asking for Darth Vader to show up; I am Anakin. And you were supposed to take care of that, not me, but you failed." Anakin complained.

"Are you now pointing the finger on me, Father?" he asked.

"No, Luke!" he answered, "I'm only saying if you have taken better care of Ben, he would never become Kylo Ren!"

"You think it was my fault!" Luke mumbled.

"No," Anakin answered honestly, "too many factors caused Ben Solo to fall and Kylo Ren to rise; it was never only you, Luke."

"Stop it!" Ben suddenly said and caught Luke and Anakin's attention; they gazed at him, confused if he could hear them.

"You think he heard us?" Luke asked, rubbing his head confused. Anakin shook his head and watched at Ben, waiting to see if his grandson had found a new way to spot now Force-Ghosts or if they were misled.

"Chewie, C-3PO stop! We have arrived; you can argue about the game later." Ben voiced as he had enough hearing them both fighting over the holochess. "And C-3PO, I would not keep arguing with the Wookiee if I were you!"

Poe showed and tapped C-3PO's shoulder, "Ben is right; you have seen what the Wookiee is capable of doing." Poe winked at him and walked into the cockpit and sat down in the co-pilot's seat to help Ben land the Falcon.

Luke and Anakin breathed again as they found out that Ben didn't hear them. And with that, they vanished as the Falcon entered the atmosphere of Eanor ready to land. There may have been more beautiful worlds in the known galaxy, but if so, Ben had to admit that Eanor was the beautiful one in the Unknown Regions. The part that wasn't burning down or drawn into darkness was verdant and mild, flecked with milky clouds, small seas, and brightly reflective lakes; it appeared before them as the Falcon dropped out and started to land.

Rey entered next into the cockpit and was staring at the green and blue in front of her in awe. Worlds filled with green and seas were always bewildering the young Jedi. Ben watched her upon his shoulders for a moment longer, then sent the Falcon into a shallow dive, heading for a well-hiding location. Speed stripped away the clouds around them, traveling what looked like an endless evergreen forest.

Ben slowed the ship's velocity, other features lingered in Rey's gaze: rolling hills, rivers, and lakes that the darkness had not reached them yet. A forest came into view as he prepares for a touchdown. He had finally landed the Falcon, and they had got the location; Ben turned off the engine and stood up. He turned and faced the company that would follow him into that new mission.

"Solo, I'm not sure what we're walking into here." Poe suddenly said, "We have to keep our guard up."

"Surprises," Ben said, thinking of his father; Han Solo would always answer questions like those in that way, "No matter where you go, no matter who you meet, the galaxy's full of surprises."

"We have finally arrived!" Rey said as she looked around at everyone. "Here we are, guys, in Eanor!"

Ben nodded as he grabbed his belongings, he walked towards the ramp, hit the switch, and the ramp opened. "Let's the fun begin!" he said and took the first step on Eanor.

Adelgado28: Well, I think we will see many jealous moments in Eanor. I might have the company remain for a long time here, and it's time to have the character's relationship slowly developed. It took us a long time to get to this point.
