11 hours after the big blackout, Ironwood had gotten a few scientists to investigate the tennis field. Not only were soldiers there, but scientists as well wearing hazmat suits. The one ordering the soldiers and scientists was Winter Schnee.

She had on her usual attire that was colored navy blue, white, and grey. The clothing itself was a white coat with sleeves that expose her upper arms, a red-lined high collar, with a red brooch and black gloves.

At that moment, everyone on the field could hear what sounded like the roar of an engine. When they looked up, they saw that the origin was a Bullhead.

This specific Bullhead had an sleek white, black and red design and looked all around really advanced, even by Atlas standards. When it landed, it started doing something that made Winter go wide eyed out of sheer confusion. And the only thing letting it known that this ship was a Bullhead was the sound the engine was making.

The Bullhead began changing shape, from it's wings, engines and gears began changing the vehicle into one that is more like something she would have expected. A large black 18 wheel semi truck. Just as t finished changing to a semi-truck, a few SUVs pulled up.

"What the?" Winter whispered

Out of the truck that was once a Bullhead, stepped it's pilot. The man looked to be in his 50s, dark brown hair that was nearly black and was neatly combed back. He was a white caucassian, had brown eyes covered by black sunglasses, and he wore a black trench coat, a black shirt, black trousers, black shoes, and black gloves that had buttons on the palms.

He was none other than Doctor Julian Ivo Robotnik, even though he prefers to just be called Doctor Robotnik. As he stepped to the ground, a few other military agents stepped out of the SUV, one in [articular, Agent Stone, who was a Wolf Faunus, his trait being a tail he hid under his business and casual attire.

Robotnik walked up to Winter, Stone following Robotnik, Robotnik took off his sunglasses and asked, "Are you in charge here?"

"Yes, I a-" Winter started

"NOPE!" Robotnik interrupted

"My-" Winter started, again

"WRONG!" Robotnik further interrupted

"..name-" Winter tried to add

"I'M IN CHARGE!" Robotnik interrupted again

"Is Winter Sch-" Winter once again, tried to add

"ME! I'm in charge." Robotnik interrupted as Stone held up his scroll, showing a holographic document stating that Robotnik was, in fact, now in charge of the operation. "Ever see anything like this before? It says i'm the top banana, in a world FULL of hungry little monkeys."

Stone then put his scroll away.

"Allow me to clarify." Robotnik says, holding up his index finger and turning to his left. "In a subquetuially ranked hierarchy based on level of critical importance, the disparity between us is too vast to quantify. Agent Stone?"

As Robotnik walked forward a bit, Stone says, "The doctor thinks you're basic."

"I'm initiating a sweep sequence." Robotnik said as he pushed a few buttons on his glove. "Ten miles in every direction should suffice."

At least 10 egg shaped drones came out of the top of the truck and floated in the air, awaiting orders. They didn't receive their orders yet cause Robotnik stopped pushing buttons when

"Is she still looking at me funny?" Robotnik asked to Stone

"Yes, she is." Stone answers

"Tell her to stop or i'll pull up her search history." Robotnik said

"If you don't stop looking at the doctor, he'll take a closer look at-" Stone starts

"I'm not deaf." Winter growled, trying not to just straight up slap Robotnik or Stone

It had taken her several years and months for her to reach her level of respect she has in the military, and she was not willing to let some weirdo strip it away from her.

"And tell her the men report to me now, blah-bah-blah, blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah-blah." Robotnik adds

Winter sighed before she started saying, "Listen, sir, I don't know if you realize-"

"I'm sorry, ma'am, what was your name?" Robotnik asked as he turned back to Winter

"Wint-" Winter tarted, fully expecting to be interrupted at this point

"NOBODY CARES!" Robotnik interrupts

Winter rolled her eyes.

"Nobody cares. Listen, Winter, nobody cares. You know why nobody cars about who you are?" Robotnik starts, walking back towards her, the fact he did know he name shocking her a little. "Because nobody cares about your FEEBLE accomplishments. And nobody cares how proud your mommy is that you're now reading at a third grade level. Have you finished Charlotte's Web yet? Spoiler alert, she es in the end, but she leaves a big creepy eggsack."

The drones then re-positioned, aiming at Robotnik, awaiting an order.

"Ah! My babies!" Robotnik said as he took a few steps away from Winter, holding out his arms. "Look at what came out of my eggsack"

Robotnik then turns to the drones and says, "You know what I love about machines like mine? They do what they're told...they follow their programming...they don't need time off to get DRUNK, and put the BOAT IN THE WATER"

Winter rolls her eyes, quietly sighing and trying to hold herself together.

"And YOU, do what you're told." Robotnik said, pointing at Winter until he pointed elsewhere. "Stand over there on the edge of your personal abyss...and watch my machines do your job."

Winter used the last of her will power to follow the orders, but not before muttering something under her breath as she walked away. Nnot even Agent Stone was able to hear what she said and even if he did, he would have kept it secret.

"Can you feel it, Stone?!" Robotnik asked, holding up his arms and pushing the buttons on his gloves

"I can feel it, doctor." Stone replies

"It's evolution, Stone." Robotnik comments as he kept pressing buttons. "IT'S EVOLUTION!"

The drones then went off to search and scan for anything that could lead to the cause of the blackout. The drones split up in the forest and were killing Grimm in four shots as they searched. When a huge and decent chunk were cleared out, One in particular found a footprint on a rock that belonged to a certain hedgehog Faunus.

In his mobile lab, Robotnik was sitting in front of his computer typing away on his keyboard as an image picked up by one of his drones is on screen. Agent Stone then steps in.

"Agent Stone?" Dr. Robotnik asks

"Yes, Doctor?" Stone responds

"Do you see anything useful in this image?" Robotnik added to his question

Stone looked at the mage but all he saw was a bunch of dirt. Robotnik on the other hand had managed to get a footprint from Sonic out of this image.

"Nothing at all, Doctor." Stone answered

"Of course you don't. Your eyes weren't trained to spot tracks by the Native Valeian shadow-wolves." Robotnik said as he switched to a clearer image of the footprint and just the footprint

Stone looked at the screen's picture of the footprint. He was amazed.

"That's extraordinary." Stone said

"No. What's extraordinary is i've managed to determine the exact weight, height, and spinal curvature of this creature, which was a Faunus." Robotnik states. "But my computer can't find a single match for it, ANYWHERE, in any of the citizen databases of any kingdoms, or even Menagerie. This blackout was not a terrorist attack and that's no baby Bigfoot."

Robotnik then walked back over to his computer and pulled u an image of the shoe that was used to make the footprint.

"This guy, is SOMETHING ELSE...entirely." Robotnik said

Stone decided to re-position Robotnik's rolling office chair.

"Divert all search units to the sight of the footprint." Robotnik said. "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for me."

Stone nodded and left the mobile lab as Robotnik sat back down in his chair and resumed typing away on the computer.

Later, in the forest, Sonic was hiding behind a looked in multiple directions. Army soldiers and drones. Everywhere.

Everywhere he looked, he saw at least two drones and 6 army soldiers.

"Okay, you played some tennis, got a little upset, LIGHTNING SHOT OUT OF YOUR BUTT, and now they're coming for you." Sonic said just before he zoomed off to the cave he had been staying in

"Okay, Remnant isn't safe anymore. Time for plan B, Mushroom-ville." Sonic said as he ran around the cave collecting things

"Okay, essential items only. Toothbrush, toothpaste, hair gel, this funny hat, this half eaten cantelope, my ENTIRE comic book collection..." Sonic said as he was putting anything he felt like he needed into the backpack he had

"Bean bag chair...can a Bean bag chair even fit in a backpack? No of course not, that's stupid." Sonic added as he zipped up the backpack

"What else?..the rings! Yes, of course!" Sonic said as he grabbed the ring bag and pulled out a ring and prepared to throw it but he heard barking and drones just outside of the cave

Sonic had now figured out he had to go somewhere else to leave Earth. He headed for a secondary exit to the cave he never thought he had to use making sure not to forget his ring bag, his backpack, or his dufflebag. He looked back at the cave and sighed.

"Goodbye, cave..." Sonic said as he left the cave
