Gwen finds Duncan.
Duncan: "So, how did it go?" He asks nervously.
Gwen smiles
Gwen: "She gave me another chance."
This makes Duncan smile.
Duncan: "Wow, that's great. What did she say about me?" He asks hopeful.
Gwen: "She has agreed to talk to you."
This makes Duncan relieved.
Gwen: "Convince her to take you back."
Duncan: "Thank you Gwen. I owe you."
He then runs off.
Gwen: "Yes, you do."
Duncan reaches first class and sees Courtney.
Duncan (in his mind): "Time for you to win her back."
Duncan walks up to Courtney. Courtney somewhat glares at him.
Duncan: "Hi Courtney."
Courtney: "Duncan."
Duncan: "Gwen told me you wanted to speak to me."
Courtney: "Yes, I want to know why you cheated on me with Gwen." Courtney says coldly.
Duncan gulps.
Duncan: "You want me to be honest?"
Courtney: "Yes."
Duncan: "Your yelling and bossiness were getting out of control. You were hurting me physically way more than usual. Worst of all, you were trying to change me. I thought you didn't accept me for who I was. I eventually couldn't take it anymore. As for cheating on you, the kiss just happened. It wasn't my goal to cheat on you."
Courtney's anger disappears.
Courtney: "I did accept you for who you were. I just wanted you to be a better person."
Duncan: "I am who I am. I won't change even for you."
Courtney: "Why didn't you tell me how you felt?"
Duncan: "I didn't think you would listen."
Courtney: "You may be right, but you should have told me. Had you told me how you felt and I didn't listen, then it would have made more sense for you to leave me. You could've at least said you tried."
Duncan then sighs.
Duncan: "You're right about that. I made mistakes. I'm sorry for cheating on you, and not telling you how I felt."
Courtney slightly frowns.
Courtney: "Was I really that awful to you?"
Duncan: "I hate to be brutally honest, but yes."
Courtney: "I never realized that. I'm sorry Duncan."
Duncan: "It's alright Courtney. Can we give our relationship another try?"
Courtney: "How can I trust you?"
Duncan: "You shouldn't right now. However, I am willing to earn back the trust."
Courtney: "Even if I do give you another chance, our relationship will just fall apart again."
Duncan: "I think I know how to solve this issue."
Courtney: "What do you suggest?"
Duncan: "I can tone down my bad-boy antics to an extent, and you can tone down your anger to an extent."
Courtney: "I thought you couldn't change who you were."
Duncan: "I'm ok with toning down by antics a bit."
Courtney: "I guess I can control my anger."
Duncan: So, can we have another shot?"
Courtney smiles
Courtney: "Yes."
Duncan smiles.
Courtney: "I won't change you this time.
Duncan: "Thank you."
Courtney: "Can you promise me something?" Courtney asks with a serious tone.
Duncan: "Sure".
Courtney: "If, I revert back to my old ways, please tell me. So, then I can learn not to act like that."
Duncan: "Ok, I promise. I don't think I need to ask you to promise to let me know when my antics are getting out of hand."
This makes Courtney smile. She walks up to Duncan and kisses him on the lips.
Duncan: "I missed you Courtney."
Courtney: "I missed you Duncan."
Duncan: "Well, I better get some sleep."
Courtney: "Oh, before you go."
She plants a kiss on Duncan's lips.
Duncan: "Goodnight Courtney." Duncan says blushing.
Courtney: "Goodnight Duncan."
Duncan walks out of first class.
Duncan (in his mind): "I can't believe I got a second chance. I won't mess up this time. I hope Gwen and I can remain friends."
Courtney (in her mind): "I patched things up with Duncan. I won't make the same mistakes again."
Courtney goes to bed peacefully.
The end.
Notes:
1. I wanted to make a story of Duncan and Gwen feeling guilty, and patching things up with Courtney.
2. Wish this happened in the cannon. What I wished for even more is for the kiss not to have happened in the first place.
3. Hope to make more Duncey and Gwent stories.
4. Please give me your feedback.
