"We've got a case!" Sam announced from his seat at the head of the long wooden table and pointed at the laptop screen as his brother entered the room.
Dean's brow furrowed the more he read the amateurly written article over Sam's shoulder, he noticed he could smell Sam's fruity shampoo, "Could be a werewolf…except that it happened during the day. Apparently this sort of thing isn't uncommon in the area, there are all sorts of sightings and descriptions…this might not be a typical werewolf case, hell, it might not even be a werewolf at all."
"What's not typical?" an apathetic voice asked as the archangel Gabriel appeared in an old arm chair by the wall behind them, signature red lollipop in hand.
Both the boys barely flinched, they were so used to having all kinds of beings appearing and disappearing whenever they liked (even in the bunker), "We have a case, it seems like a werewolf but each of the witnesses are describing something slightly different."
"Not to mention that the last one was during the day," Sam added, still staring at the screen as if it would give them more answers than questions.
"Well, only one way to find out. Where are we off to boys?" Lick.
Sam thought they'd been just about everywhere by now, but apparently there were still a few blanks on the map "Some place called Beacon Hills, in California."
"Beacon Hills?" A frowning Castiel appeared in the large archway that connected the two rooms, he was wearing Dean's AC/DC shirt (he had a fondness for wearing Dean's clothes), "I've been hearing some interesting stories about that place."
"Any of these stories pertain to werewolves?" Sam asked and leant back in his chair to give Castiel his attention.
"Not exactly but they always seemed like things were left out or obscured. Have you found evidence of a werewolf in Beacon Hills?" Cas moved into the room and stood close to Dean, to which the hunter gave him a warm half smile.
"Possibly, this story seems a bit off also," Sam responded, he stared at the article again with a frown.
Dean clapped Sam on the shoulder, "Well," he announced "like Gabe said 'only one way to find out'... Road trip! Meet at the car in twenty."
Gabriel rolled his eyes and sighed to himself as everyone left the room to get their things together for the case. He just couldn't understand why the Winchester's insisted on driving everywhere, when in a click of his fingers they could all be in Beacon Hills, solve the case and be home in time for the new episode of Game of Thrones. He got restless in the car, the only good thing about it was spending time with the hairless apes he loved and his little bro. Maybe he could convince Sam into a little touchy feely in the back seat to pass the time, hah.
