Chapter 2: Miniature Golf at Par2Golf

The next day, my mentor, Jenna and I met some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, and Carly Shay, along with Carly's parents, Sam and Freddie, at Par2Golf in Monroeville for a few rounds of mini golf. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. First, we each had a healthy snack to eat. Jenna and I ate nuts, Carly and Alex ate carrot and celery sticks, Mrs. Shay and Justin ate cheese cubes, and Mr. Benson and Max ate crackers. After our snacks, we began to play mini golf. "Wow, the weather is semi-decent for mini golf," Carly pointed out. "Semi-decent?" Mr. Benson asked. "What do you mean by that?" "I personally think the weather is great today," Mrs. Shay mentioned. "It is just a little bit chilly, and it was like that semi-decent day in middle school when we took a nature hike outside." "Don't forget about the Chinese cheerleaders from ghostly Wuhan," I told my friends. "Now is not the time for that, Angel," Alex reminded me. "But, I don't like the coronavirus, Alex," I told my female friend. "None of us do, Angel," Alex agreed. "I hope that we get to do at least one outdoor activity every month," Justin stated. "During the coronavirus outbreak, it is almost always better to host outdoor events than indoor events." "Maybe, we can do fun things like ice skating and sledding in the wintertime," Max pointed out. "Especially if schools will not host any public events, like Christmas concerts, which was a shame because our concert was amazing back in high school." After our games of mini golf were complete, we ordered Chinese takeout for dinner. Jenna and I ordered rice bowls. "Thanks for coming with me to mini golf, Jenna," I thanked my mentor. "It was a lot of fun!" "Oh, no problem, Angel," Jenna replied. "Alex was not very familiar with the Carnegie area, so she thought that Monroeville was a better idea," I explained. "Still, a lot of mini golf courses are hard to find because they are out in the middle of nowhere." "I heard that you and Justin are engaged to get married in a year or two," Jenna told Alex. "Is that true?" "Yes, we got engaged to each other after the jazz concert," Alex replied, showing off her new wedding ring. "All of you guys are invited to come to our wedding in January 2022." After dinner was over, Jenna and I drove back to her apartment in Point Breeze. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
