"Are you alright, Captain?" Spock asked his bondmate as they appeared on a large grassed area in front of Lucifer, Marcus, Sherlock and John.
Jim gazed around at their new surroundings; they seemed to be next to a large double story building with lots of doors; probably a hotel of some sort, "Bit like an instant transporter wasn't it?" he replied with a slight grin on his face, this was turning out to be quite the mission.
Spock picked up on Jim's amusement and refrained from rolling his eyes; it never stopped surprising him how much trivial things could amuse humans.
Merlin, King Arthur (how odd it was to think that they were standing here with people from such different times), the Doctor, Rose and Castiel appeared next to them. Everyone seemed to be taking in the new surroundings and bright sunshine.
"Wait here," Castiel told them all before heading towards the hotel.
"What do you make of this whole werewolf thing?" Jim asked Spock quietly.
Spock was contemplative for a moment, "Hmm, it would not be any stranger than anything we have seen before and it was a great part of the supernatural myths in human history, perhaps what was once a myth in our time is reality in this time."
"It might be worth checking out what information the ship's library has on werewolves," Jim suggested, his eyes kept looking around at the others, he couldn't imagine a more unique group of people (and he had met more than his fair share of unique groups of people).
"Indeed, even just to compare differences between time lines, plus it would be quite interesting to study such a creature," Spock agreed.
Jim pulled out his communicator and attempted to contact the ship, "Kirk to Enterprise, come in Scotty."

Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott was having a short private lunch date with Lieutenant Nyota Uhura. They were less focused on eating however, and more interested in using their mouths for other things; such as an intense make out session.
They had started in separate chairs but now Uhura was straddling Scotty, his hands cupped her ass perfectly and held her securely on his lap. That was when the communicator on his belt chirped.
Uhura paused and pulled back, "Is that your communicator or are you just happy to see me?" she teased with a sly smile.
"At this rate lass, we're gonna need a longer lunch," Scotty admitted breathlessly and pulled the communicator off of his belt.
He flipped it open and heard his Captain's voice, "Kirk to Enterprise, come in Scotty."
"Scotty here Captain, how's it goin' down there?"
"Certainly not what we expected but going well, please inform the landing party that we are in no danger and will report in every couple of hours. I have a bit of an odd request of you however…" Kirk told him.
"Will do…" he was going to ask why they weren't with the landing party but Uhura started to suck on his earlobe and Scotty's eyes rolled back for moment, he was going to need a cold shower before getting back to work. He cleared his throat and took a steadying breath, "What do ye need Captain?"
Kirk hesitated, "I need you to do a search in the computer's library for anything on werewolves."
"Sorry the connection's a wee bit weak, did ye say werewolves?" that was the last thing Scotty had expected to hear.
"You heard right, Scotty. Get back to me when you have something. I've got to go, Kirk out," the line disconnected.
Uhura looked at him, "Well, seems like you have work to do, I better go too," she got up and straightened out her dress before planting a kiss on Scotty's cheek, "thanks for lunch Monty, I'll see you after shift," she winked at him and left.
"Bye lass," if he was a cartoon character, Scotty's eyes would be hearts.

Kirk closed the communicator as Castiel came back into view, he was followed by one man who was almost towering over him and another shorter man, they must be the brothers.
Everyone stopped talking and turned to face the three men (man and two angels?).
"This is my brother Gabriel," Castiel motioned to the shorter man who had a lollipop sticking out of his mouth and a self-assured expression on his face, "and Dean's brother Sam," this time he gestured to the taller man, who was wearing a plaid shirt and had shoulder length brown hair.
Gabriel tipped a non-existent hat and Sam greeted the group, "Hey, nice to meet y'all, and uh, thanks, I guess, for your help with this. When Dean gets here we'll bring everyone up to speed with what we know so far."
"It seems that this is a gay convention after all," Spock overheard Sherlock's comment to John.
Spock turned to face them, "I would ask if you had an issue with homosexual relationships, but as you appear to be in one, I fail to understand your jest."
"It was a joke, there was no harm intended," John defended attempting to defuse a situation before it could start.
"Don't worry, ashayam, there is no ill intent, we're all friends," Jim assured his husband, he stroked the back of Spock's hand and sent waves of calm to him through their bond.
Everyone seemed to break up into small groups after that, getting to know each other until Dean would arrive and they would know their next move.
The Doctor and Rose found their way over to Spock and Jim. The Doctor had an obvious interest in them as they were the only other space travellers in the group.
"Remarkable little group we've found ourselves a part of, wouldn't you say?" the Doctor commented.
"We would very much agree with you Doctor," Jim replied.
Spock was next to put forward a question, "What are you a doctor off?"
"Oh…nothing in particular, a bit of this and that really. It's a name I chose for myself; the Doctor, a healer, a promise, a fresh start," the Doctor spoke with his hands, waving them about casually, however his words and eyes carried a heavy past.
Spock contemplated his answer, "Fascinating, does your entire race choose their own names?"
"No, it is a title chosen, sometimes by Time Lords with great power, everyone has a name that they started with, not everyone choses a title," the Doctor informed them.
"Hah, how interesting, it's almost like choosing your own nickname," Jim said with a hint of mirth.
"Indeed, I've never thought about it like that. There is something I wanted to ask you about, something that I noticed earlier. You share brief touches and some sort of, perhaps telepathic, form of communication. For instance touching your fingers together, and just now; Jim, you touched Spock and he calmed. How does it work?"
Jim was surprised; people didn't often pick up on their casual touches like that.
Spock raised an eyebrow, "Very observant indeed, Doctor," there was a quick back and forth between himself and Jim of how much to disclose about themselves.
Rose had obviously picked up on their reluctance to share the details, "Sorry about him, he likes to stick his nose into everything," she nudged the Doctor to move him on and leave them alone.
"Hang on, wait," Jim took a step forward and held up his hand, "It's alright, we are just unused to it being picked up on, and especially so quickly. Usually, only people we are close with realise we are communicating without speaking aloud."
Rose stopped trying to move them and they both stood still and listened.
"I am a Vulcan, we have the ability of touch telepathy. We form mental bonds with our family, and often people we are very close with. However none is stronger than the bond formed with your spouse, our bond is particularly strong, a very special, and quite extraordinary bond. The bond allows us to be mentally linked always, I can always feel what Jim feels, he is always a presence in my mind and we often communicate through it. He calmed me just now by transferring his feeling of calm through our bond to me," they had agreed to tell the truth without going into too much detail, as the Doctor had with them. Spock had become accustomed to doing such a thing on missions, he still did not lie, but he did not have to tell the whole truth either, "Does that answer your question, Doctor?"
"Oh, yes, I see, I have heard of something similar before. It's a shame we aren't from the same universe, I'm sure your planet has a lot of cultural wealth," the Doctor supposed.
"Indeed you would be correct, Doctor, we have a long history," Spock confirmed, "I believe it would be just as fascinating to visit your planet."
A look passed through the Doctor's eyes and his face darkened briefly, "I'm sure you would have liked it, Spock."
Jim knew that look; he had seen it on his own face, something awful had happened to the Doctor's planet. There wasn't time to ask, though Jim was unsure if he should regardless, he didn't like to talk about Tarsus IV, he was fairly certain that the Doctor wouldn't want to talk about his dark past either, especially to strangers.
Spock felt the change in Jim's emotions, there was a specific combination of rage, terror, pain and misery that presented itself when Jim thought or spoke about Tarsus IV. He moved closer to his husband and stroked his arm gently, sending soothing waves through their bond.
Jim and the Doctor locked eyes momentarily and shared a look that only they could understand.
It was then that a sleek, black, American muscle car pulled up in the car park of the hotel and Dean appeared from the driver's side, he shut the door and strode over to the group. Spock observed that Dean consulted with Castiel, Sam and Gabriel immediately.
The group of four came over to join the rest of the assembly and everyone turned to face them.
Sam spoke first, "So, uh, this is an odd situation we're all in, even for us," he paused giving an anxious chuckle, "but it's really good to meet you all and-"
He was cut off by Dean, who got straight to the point, "Here's the deal; you help us with our problem and we help you all with yours."
"I think what Dean-o means is that we're glad for the help, because this is not your typical werewolf case and Beacon Hills, that's where we are just F Y I, is not your average town. Once we sort out the werewolf problem, we can help you lot get back home safely. Sound good?" Gabriel took over.
"I should have brought my sword," King Arthur stated, "Merlin and I have taken on many beasts."
"If it's not made of silver then it wouldn't be much use anyway. Werewolves can only be killed with silver," Sam told him.
Spock raised an eyebrow; fascinating. He shared a look with Jim.
"How do you know about all this stuff anyway?" Marcus asked. Lucifer had his arm around the Lieutenant's shoulder; he looked half annoyed about it. It seemed they had some issues to work out.
Dean took this question, "Sam and I were raised in the life of a hunter, we save people, hunt things, you could say it's the family business. Cas and Gabe decided to join the life along the way."
Gabriel laughed but it was bitter, Castiel stayed silent.
"If you guys are the experts, then how do you expect us to hunt this werewolf?" Sherlock questioned, his tone was slightly snide, like he didn't quite believe in all this.
Spock was taking a bit of a dislike to Sherlock, he seemed a bit of a know-it-all child that was ready to throw a temper tantrum the moment something didn't go his way.
"We investigate," Sam announced simply, "there was a car accident yesterday, a 'person' was hit, however the accounts of the accident and the timing of the full moon, on top of all the other suspicious activity here in Beacon Hills, led us to believe it was a werewolf. Gabe and I went to the hospital this morning to talk to the man that was hit. He was unconscious, but there was something very strange about his family, they were certainly hiding something," he recounted.
"Dean and I went to the site of the crash, and that's when we found all of you standing around in the forest, which has led us to believe that the person in the hospital and his family may have come through one of the universe portals that you all did," Castiel explained.
"So we convince these people to go back through their own portal and all is well?" Jim summed up. It seemed like the most obvious and peaceful solution, with the least amount of interference to this universe.
Sam frowned, "It may not be as simple as that, and we aren't entirely sure he is the only werewolf. I have looked back in recent and old records and found a lot of unexplained things, there may be a lot more to it than just this one werewolf. We may even find out why all of your universes opened here."
"That is the reason we came through in the first place; to find out the what and why, and even possibly how this all came to be," Spock stated. He assumed that's why they were all there, humans were curious beings, 'curiosity killed the cat' was the saying.
There were a few murmurs of agreement and more nods.
"Now we know all of this, what's our next move?" John inquired.
"Well of course we need to split up into groups and work it from all angles at once, we don't know exactly how long those portals will stay open for and the sooner we get everyone back through the better," the Doctor answered automatically.
Everyone stared at him. Rose smirked and tried to hide it behind her hand.
"Sorry, I'm used to being the one in charge in these types of situations," he apologised sheepishly.
Sam smiled, "That's pretty much what I was going to suggest anyway, Gabe and I will take one group back to the hospital, see if we can find out more and hopefully talk to the man that was hit. Dean and Cas will take the other group and go to the local library, see if you can find anything that rings any bells. We will meet back here before dark."
Everyone agreed and they split into two groups as if they did this every day, it all went very smoothly for a rag-tag group that had never met before.
Lucifer and Marcus, Sherlock and John, and Gabe and Sam said goodbye and trudged off up the street towards the hospital. Meanwhile, Jim and Spock, Merlin and Arthur, The Doctor and Rose, and Dean all squeezed into the car; the Doctor insisted on riding shotgun with Rose. Castiel had decided to just zap himself there, and lucky he did because the car was not made to seat seven, and it had been a tight enough fit as it was.
It was very squishy in the back seat with four adult men, luckily they were all rather slim and Jim let Spock sit on the end so he wouldn't be uncomfortable being pressed against an unknown person. He was a rather considerate husband, and Spock was grateful for it.
It was not comfortable but it was bearable for the eight point three minutes that it took to drive to the library. They all exited the car as quickly as possible. Merlin and Arthur did not look well.
"Are you alright?" Jim asked them.
"It was our first time in any such thing, it goes much faster than horses. We are just unaccustomed to it," Merlin explained, the colour was coming back into his face now they were on solid, unmoving ground.
"Ah, you're just a bit motion sick, you two sit in the front on way back, it will help," Dean assured them and started up the stone steps in front of him to the library.
The rest of the group followed, and when they got to the doors Castiel instructed them on their jobs, "Jim and Spock will help us look on the computers, Merlin and Arthur can talk to people, ask about anything strange. Doctor, you and Rose can look through newspapers and books to find out anything you can about the history of the town."
They entered through the big double glass doors and split up, each team going to different parts of the library. Jim and Spock followed the hunters to find the computers, however. Lucky they did too because Jim would not have recognised what he saw on the desk in front of him as a computer. It was so out-dated for them that it even took Spock a good minute to work it out. After that they got to work, hopefully they'd find some answers.
