Edit Version- 6.10.20

Hello,

Welcome to Wolf Messenger. If you are wondering how I wrote this story, well, it was inspired by a roblox role play that I had with somebody when playing this wolf role play game where you customize your wolves. I met her, and we had this huge role play that lasted for a few hours. I was so inspired, I wrote this fanfiction after it. Although, I told her that I will be making a fanfiction for this story, but she never replied. I also intensified the drama because originally, our dialog was sloppy and unappealing to some. To avoid copyright, I will not use her wolf's real name. I will make one up for her's for respect. My wolf will be Noah. Also, keep in mind that nobody is perfect. So, I made a edit version up at the top for every time I edit mistakes and logical problems. So, enjoy.

Chapter-1

The day was bright and breezy that mid noon day. Trotting in the deep woods was a wolf. He had a red body pelt and black belly. He wore a mask; a rabbit skull mask with fabricated ears on his head. On his right paw was a red, orange and yellow bracelet.

He was on a mission to deliver a message to someone. But who?

He pawed up a hill that obscured his path. And when he got to the top, his eyes spy, yet spot a black, young adult wolf with icy white hair that overlapped his left eye. His belly and underneck was a icy white, including his tail. He was running. It seemed he was chasing something. Suddenly, it dawned on something. There was something up about this wolf that seemed strange, like familiar. But he just could not put a paw on it. He made a sigh. He was a messenger, and he must deliver a bad message to this mysterious black wolf.

The black wolf was chasing a rabbit. The rabbit scurried left and right, dodging tree roots and shrubs. The black wolf was named Noah. Noah pushed as hard as he could to catch up. But unfortunately, his energy had ebbed, and his vision got teary and blury. He stopped, panting as he found himself out of breath.

And meal-less...

He watched the rabbit run away while he grimaced as he felt his stomach growl. His stomach was empty for 3 days, and he never gotten a successful catch since.

To relieve of this hunger, he took himself to the nearby river to fill his stomach full of water. A trick he's been using when he is hungry. But it was only temporary. He then walked to the large, flat boulders to lay flat in the sun. As he climbed up the hot boulder, he collapsed on his side weakly, and laid there, soaking the sun rays through his pelt.

Suddenly, his ears picked up someone who was approaching. Out of alarm, he stood up and saw something he did not like. And it was quite frightening as well. It was a crimson red wolf with a rabbit skull on his head. He had no eyes, more like black hallowed eye sockets.

Noah stood up, preparing for an attack.

"It's okay." spoke the masked wolf as he froze, not moving any further. "I'm only here to deliver a message, Noah. I am a death messenger."

"Yeah, and?" Replied Noah, turning his head slightly sideways with his ears perked up. "And how do you know my name?"

"I was sent to you by death..." The messenger spoke. Though, he never felt this cringy about saying this to all the other recipients. "I-I've come to inform you that death... will aventually come and claim you very soon."

Shock washed over Noah like a tidal wave. Soon came depression. Death? Him? But why? Why would he want to take his life soo soon?

"But why would he take me? I am young and fresh. Why would he want to take me? I have a whole life ahead of me, and he wants to take it away from me?"

Noah's pleads were making the messenger tensed. He could not do this anymore. Telling his recipients that aventually they would die no longer settled well in the messenger anymore.

"Well... he's going to take you..." the messenger gulped. He turned around, preparing to walk away. "Three days. Three days or less. You got three days before death comes and finds you."

The messenger began to walk off, feeling aweful. He walked off slowly with his head hanging low. Noah was still sitting on his haunches, staring at the messenger with his right green eye.

"Is there any way you can help me avoid it? Can you help me, like, not die?" asked Noah.

The question forced the messenger to stop. He had made the messenger self debate in his head whether he should help Noah with avoiding Death's claim. But yet, he did not want to upset Death at any cost. Betraying such a powerful spirit is not a good thing to do, and he did not want to do that. But there was something about Noah that made him not want death to find him. He could not let Death take him. He has to make sure that he will be safe. And that was when Coda stopped.

"Yes. I will make sure that death does not find you and take you." Said The Messenger. He turned his head and looked at Noah. "But if you want to live, you must follow my orders presicely. I work for death, but I am only gonna do this for you." Noah said, hurtfully.

"R-really?" Stuttered Noah, turning his head sideways.

"Yes. Now come on." Messenger replied with a flick of an ear, "Now. We don't have enough time. We better go and find a shelter. I'll explain while we get there. But first, we must find shelter before night comes." Then the messenger walked off a distance before he looked back at Noah, and asked him "Well, are you going or what?"

Dumb founded, Noah got up and ran after the messenger. "I'm coming!"

Aventually, Noah caught up with his messenger and they walked through the woods. The sun was setting quite quickly as the afternoon was closing quickly on the two wolves. No matter how many possible shelters they have passed, the messenger would dismiss them and walked further out North. Aventually, they came across the right dwelling cave to rest, then the messenger can explain how he can protect and make sure that Noah can stay safe from death taking his life too early.

They stepped through the snow towards a small hole in a pile of sticks and twigs beside a pile of boulders. It was quite the squeaze when they made the entrance, but as they accomplished their entrance, they found that this cave was inhabitable for a very long time. The cave once belonged to a family of animals, but they must of moved out when they no longer needed it.

"We stay here... Tonight." The messenger's voice bounced off the walls while he spoke between small, but tired breaths. "Get some sleep. We got a long day tomorrow."

"But how are we going to deal with death? I just can't be hiding like this for the rest of my life." Noah whined while craning his neck down, his ears up listening for his messenger's response. The messenger opened his mouth, but nothing interrupted him more then the stomach rumble that just happened from the pit of Noah's core. Noah was hungery, and he has not eaten is just about 4 days by now.

"You must eat. Then I will speak." Said the messenger plainly before he faced the exit of the cave. Noah shook his head and sighed.

"But, we can't. Death could be out there lurking. How about we go and find food tomorrow?" asked Noah.

"You must trust me, Noah. I can sense that death is not outside. If you do not eat right now, tomorrow, you will not have the energy to find food for yourself. Therefore, let's go now."

Noah growled and rolled his eyes annoyingly "Ok, fine..." and then got up and joined his messenger's side. Messenger stepped out first, and Noah came out of the hole afterwards.

They trotted through the woods again. The snow was beginning to fall, reminding them they are now on the far north side of the map. Aventually, they found a rabbit- actually, the messenger did. And he caught it, and killed it. He served it to Noah.

"Eat this." Said the messenger. "This will be atleast something in your stomach for the night. We can get more tomorrow."

Noah approached the dead rabbit while it laid on it's side. Some crimson blood bled from the neck of the rabbit from where his messenger bit. He sniffed it, then looked at his messenger with his periferal and said "Thank you".

Noah bit into the rabbit, feasting off of the rabbit as the messenger took his patience to inspect his surroundings, making sure that no threat would come and hurt him.

Noah finished eating the rabbit. He did not leave anything to waste- eating all flesh, bone and fur. All there was left was a bloody stain in the snow.

Instinctually, the messenger had expected that Noah was finished and turned around.

"Are you done?" Asked the messenger.

"Yeah."

"Then let's go back. Hurry." The messenger exclaimed to Noah before he dashed off down the trail from which they came when they were hunting for food. Noah quickly followed before the messenger until they came back.

After they squeazed back through the hole entrance, Noah paced at the center of the old den and sat on his butt.

He twitched his tail and rubbed the blood from his chin with his right paw and spoke.

"Ok. Tell me. Tell me how to escape death." Asked Noah.

"Well, it's simple. There is something we must find; the crystal."

Noah deflated. "The crystal? What? What are you talking about? What does it do? How would this rock save me from impending doom?" Noah pleaded, looking dissapointed.

"If you just sit back and listen!" Snapped the messenger, tossing his tail out of frustration, flicking his ear. "Gosh, it seems the more recipients I deal with, the more attention deficiant they are."

Noah glared angrily at the messenger and stood quiet. His mouth remained shut.

"Ok. We need to find a crystal. But you will need me to find it. It is located in hell. Once we go to hell, we will have to find the crystal, which is somewhere in there." Explained Noah. He took a second and a half to add to his explanation.

"Hell? How are we going to go there?" Noah interrupted. The messenger gave Noah a flustered glare, and Noah got it and hung his head in shame. "Oh. Sorry."

The messenger continued "You will need me. I know where it will be. There is a portal, and we must enter it in order to find this crystal. It will protect you from death."

"Ok. Well, you're the one with the magical powers of death... You're the one who knows what he's doing." Remarked Noah. Then he yawned uncontrollably.

"You're tired. I suggest you get a long rest. Tomorrow, we will head to the portal. You will need the energy so that once we find the crystal there, we will need to leave hell." Said the messenger, turning his head and walked off to the entrance of the cave, peering out of the hole.

"Ofcourse. I've been needing a rest..." Noah said lamely, then he walked to the back of the cave and circled before curling up on the cold rocky floor. He looked at his messenger and said "Thank you." feeling bashful for what the messenger had done for to save him.

The messenger's ears pinned, but he did not look back. Noah put his head down for a couple of minutes. Then he raised his head up again and looked at him.

"Hey, are you going to sleep too?" Noah asked with a questioning tone. The messenger turned his head to him and said.

"Death messengers don't sleep." He replied grimly

"Oh... Ok." Noah hesitated to speak. His messenger was some new form of entity he never came across before. No sleep? No way! "Good night."

The messenger hesitated to reply. He frowned. "Goodnight."

It was a couple of hours later, the messenger got up from his laying spot and walked over to the exit of the cave. He looked back to assure that Noah was really asleep, which he is. He was laying on his side, facing the complete opposite from the exit, snoring loudly. So the messenger left. He sat outside at the front beside the shelter hole. It was dark, and the only light there was was the moon that was already almost full in the partially cloudy sky.

He inspected the outside scenery. Icycles hung from the branches, and snow hills were dotted here and there. He looked at the trail from which he and Noah had came from before they found this shelter. But it was obscured when inky black dots started appearing over the icy floor, hovering just a foot above the ground. More formed and bunched together, making bigger dots. They formed a cloud of swirling darkness that blocked the trail, followed by eerie distorted howling sounds. The messenger did not need a hint when he saw two yellow eyes appear through the clouds.

"Death, why have you come?" Spoke the messenger seriously, his voice having slight jitter from the anxiety he felt.

"I come for Noah. Have you told him the news?" Death said as he slowly revealed himself. He was a black wolf with the fur of black inky clouds. His eyes were as yellow as the charring cynders, and his presence emmitted the black clouds.

The messenger sensed the position he was in, as he sat infront of the entrance of the cave where Noah was safely sleeping. He paced off from the entrance, trying to not give off the hiding spot.

"No, Death. I have not found this 'Noah' anywhere. Just give me 3 more days, and I will find him." The messenger said. Death frowned. He did not seem to trust the messenger, and the messenger knew that and expected the worse.

"Ok. Well, you got three days to show me where he is. If you don't show me, I will have to find him myself, which will be a ease."

The messenger could exhale out of relief at this moment. Atleast it seems that Death did not suspect that he was actually hiding Noah from him.

"But if you are lying to me... If you are tempting secrets from me, I will find Noah myself, and once I delt with him, I will have to punish you for the crime by banishing you in behind the bars for eternity." Death threatened the messenger. The threat forced the messenger to gulp a large lump down his throat. He whined a little and pinned his ears back.

"Yes, master. I promise. I will find Noah, and I will show you where he is." The messenger forced himself to speak.

Then death turned around, and he started walking down the trail, away from the shelter. He didn't even announce his dismissal. He exclaimed "Three days!" before the last of his black clouds vanished, leaving the messenger behind with the burdon that slept in the den;

Noah.

He turned his neck 120 degrees behind him and frowned. He just can't turn Noah in. But if he dosen't, Death will find him anyway and the messenger will also face punishment.

He sighed. White smoke leaving his mouth. He will have to determine whether he should stop Death, or just let Noah go.
