Chapter 6: The Haunted Pittsburgh Ghost Tour
The next day, my mentor, Jenna and I met up with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, and Carly Shay, as well as Carly's parents, Sam and Freddie, for a walking ghost tour around haunted Pittsburgh. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. Jenna brought in assorted Halloween candies and I brought in cheesecake from my Childhood Chat meeting earlier today. Both of us brought our own rice bowls for dinner, while Carly and her parents split a Supreme Pizza with breadsticks, Alex got a turkey hoagie, Justin got a ham and salami hoagie, and Max got a Mushroom Philly Cheese Steak hoagie with everything on it. "So, what did you learn about from the Childhood Chat this morning, Angel?" Carly asked me. "Well, I learned about Jessica Linden enjoying popcorn in 3rd grade in Ross Township, Elizabeth Mosh showing off her new slippers in 8th grade in McCandless, Natalie Bay enjoying fruit punch in 11th grade in Westmoreland County, Rachel Luster coloring a picture in 1st grade in Hampton Township, Lauren Bennett showing off her blankie in 3rd grade in the western suburbs of Pittsburgh, Nicole Ellis eating doughnuts for breakfast in 12th grade in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, and Emily Grey spreading gossip in 5th grade in the southern suburbs of Pittsburgh. "Wow, a lot went on then!" Mr. Benson remarked. "Don't you wish that you could be a part of Childhood Chat, Carly?" Mrs. Shay asked. "Yes, Mom," Carly replied. "I had a pair of fuzzy slippers in the 8th grade that I got for Christmas, so I could possibly talk about that." "Well, I am afraid that you are a little too old to participate, Carly," I pointed out. Before we knew it, we had another Childhood Chat meeting just before our ghost tour. "We are learning about Hannah Mifflin enjoying popcorn at 4 years old in Ross Township, Sarah Ching playing video games in 1st grade in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Grace Luster telling the truth at 4 years old in the southern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Jennifer Preager eating chocolate in 5th grade in the western suburbs of Pittsburgh, Allison Brawner coloring a picture in 10th grade in McCandless, Ashley Cassoin showing off her blankie in 6th grade in Hampton Township, and Isabella Black spreading gossip in 7th grade in Westmoreland County," I told my friends. "Popcorn and video games, huh?" Alex asked. "What's wrong, Alex?" Jenna asked. "Are you not a fan of sleepovers, or what?" "Not really," Alex replied. "We are more into formal parties at country clubs," Max explained. "Most notably, a Sweet 16 party at Brackenridge Heights Country Club," Justin added. "It is weird how those girls were very little when I was still in high school," Alex stated. "That just shows what an old woman I am becoming." "You're only 27 years old, Alex," I pointed out. "That is not very old, and you are just one year younger than me." Pretty soon, it was time for our ghost tour as we walked all around the haunted city of Pittsburgh. After our tour was over, Jenna drove me back to my old house on Carlisle Street in Natrona Heights. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
