Chapter 7: The Halloween Party
The next day, Sarah, James, Henri, and I threw a Halloween party at their apartment in Penn Hills and invited some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, and Carly Shay, as well as Carly's parents, Sam and Freddie. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. I wore my goddess costume, Sarah was dressed up as Black Widow, James was dressed up as the Star Trek conscience, and Henri was dressed up as a Space Warrior. Carly was Pocahontas, and her parents were "emoji" feelings. Alex was Little Red Riding Hood, Justin was Kent Clark from Superman, and Max was a Power Ranger. We had all different kinds of yummy things to eat, including burgers, sub sandwiches, and pasta, and delicious snacks like crackers and cheese, mug cake, strawberry brownie marshmallow kabobs, chips and dip, and of course, Halloween candy. We also had a choice of games to play. Carly and her parents chose Charades, Saran Wrap Prize Ball, and Nail Polish Spin the Bottle. Alex and her guy friends chose Sardines, an Obstacle Course, Truth or Sing, and the Chubby Bunny Marshmallow Game. There was also Halloween-themed music and Halloween-themed crafts, as well. "At least, I don't want to dress up like Valerie," Carly stated. "She was not a very nice person." "Ah," Sarah stated. "Since I love Disney so much, I decided to charade my favorite Disney characters," Carly explained. "Sardines is a crazy game for Little Red Riding Hood to play," Alex admitted. "But, it was one of my all-time favorite games to play during the summer of 2010 right by the swimming pool." "That's amazing," Sarah remarked. "I am so glad that all of us got to have a Halloween party together," I told my friends. "Even if it wasn't at the Glass Center or Scene 75." "Well, it's not safe to go to those places yet, Angel," Sarah told me. "I can't wait until they find a vaccine for this stupid virus," I told everyone. "That should be pretty soon, huh?" "I think so," Sarah replied. "But until then... you have all of us here to entertain you and hang out with you whether it be during the week or on the weekends!" "I knew that," I remarked. After the Halloween party was over, Sarah, James, and Henri drove me back to my mom's apartment in Highland Park. "Thanks for a great evening, guys!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
