Chapter 10: Shopping at Monroeville Mall
The next day, I met some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, Max Greenwald, and Carly Shay, as well as Carly's parents, Sam and Freddie, at Monroeville Mall to go shopping. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Alex greeted back. "Can we go to Claire's first?" I asked my friends. "I need to buy a new hair clip since my other one broke." "Hold on, Angel," Alex told me. "Carly and I need to shop for some other things first." "Okay," I agreed. After we split up into groups, Carly, Alex, and I went to Macy's since they liked my coat so much and wanted to shop for a new one themselves. "I don't remember Macy's being this quiet," Carly stated. "It was more chaotic during back-to-school season, especially the year before I started high school." "Wow, that coat looks like the one I remember wearing my year of high school that we had a huge blizzard," Alex added. "We're going to get me a new hair clip, right?" I asked. "Yes, Angel," Alex replied. "But first, let's stop at Go Toys and Games! I want to see what will be popular for Christmas this year." After we went into the toy store, we finally stopped at Claire's where I bought a new hair clip after the store had closed for a little bit due to the power outage, and Carly and Alex got some new holiday accessories themselves. Then, I met my mentor, Jenna at the food court, where we both ordered rice bowls for dinner. After dinner, she drove me back to their apartment in Point Breeze. "Thanks for a great day, guys!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Alex replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
