Meanwhile, in the underground world known as Tartarus, which is basically Equestria's version of hell, Tirek sits in his cage, bored to death with nothing to do.
Of course, it's been awhile since he's been freed and wreaked havoc in Equestria, but he vows for revenge.
"Once I get out of here, I shall destroy the Mane 6, the Princesses, and every other pathetic creature of this land, while absorbing all the magic in Equestria for myself!" Tirek said to himself.
"The question is: 'How do I get out of here?'" Tirek said. Then, he had an idea. Using his finger, he tried to pick the lock. But, he also kept an eye on Cerberus, just only a few meters away.
After a few seconds, Tirek couldn't get the lock and he ended up hurting his finger. Then, he had another idea. He grabbed one of his canine teeth and started yanking on it.
But, he is too weak to even pull it out of his mouth. After a few tries, he finally gave up. But then, he had another idea. He started banging his head against the cage bars.
After a few tries, one of his teeth finally came out. He licked where it used to be and could care less.
"It'll grow back when I get enough magic" Tirek said. Using it, he manages to successfully lockpick the lock. He slowly opened the door, until it creaked.
Cerberus's right head's ear shot up as he turned and growled. The middle head sniffed the air and Cerberus began walking up the ramp. Tirek thought quickly on what he could do.
Then, taking his tooth, he throws it. It flies through the air and hits the floor across the way. Cerberus's heads all perk up and rush for the sound. Tirek, relieved, quickly heads off.
He sneaks past Cerberus and heads for the door. When he arrives, he breaks the lock to the gate and escapes, once again. He stops and smells the fresh air, smiling as he is now free, again.
"Now, time to feast on some magic, and fulfill my revenge" Tirek smirks evilly. Then, he heads out.
Meanwhile, Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy fly for Canterlot as fast as their wings can carry them. The sun was rising over the horizon now.
Sadly, as they flew, they have seen no trace of Godzilla, which makes them even more concerned. But, as long as they got there before him, they would be good. Canterlot was growing closer as they flew.
"Oh, I hope that giant monster hasn't gotten there yet" Twilight said to herself, worryingly.
"Your telling me" Rainbow replied. Twilight didn't realize she said that out loud, loud enough for her friends to here anyway. They soon arrived to Canterlot.
They quickly flew down and landed, running for the castle. Ponies wondered what was wrong with them, but with the way they were running was suggested that it was something important.
Some tried to wave "Hi", but the 3 were so focused from the task at hand that they didn't have time to say "Hi". Soon, they entered the castle. They quickly headed for the throne room.
They entered the throne room, only to see the Princess Luna and Celestia completely calm and are in the matter of discussing something.
"Princesses!" Twilight said, urgently.
"Twilight" Celestia replied.
"We have some urgent and important news for you" Twilight said.
"So do we" Luna replied, "But we suggest you go first".
"Okay" Twilight said and she took a deep breath, "Last night, a giant monster attacked Ponyville".
"That's what I was going to say" Luna said.
"So then, we're on the same page?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. I saw the fiery destruction from my post on the West tower. I was curious of what happened, but now I know. I was just discussing with my sister the matter at hand" Luna finished.
"So then, what do we do?" Fluttershy asked.
"I don't know" Luna said.
"We're still trying to figure that out, but thank goodness you all are okay" Celestia said.
"Well, we better be deciding soon before..." Twilight said, but then, suddenly, she was cut off by a muffled, thunderous roar. Fluttershy immediately took shelter behind Rainbow.
"It's here" Rainbow said, coldly. Immediately, Celestia took action.
"Quick, sister. Round up all the guards. We stand and fight, no matter how powerful this monster is" Celestia said Luna immediately did that as she flew quickly out of the room.
"Twilight, I need you and your friends to evacuate the city" Celestia said.
"You can count on us" Twilight said.
"Come on!" Rainbow said before the three headed out of the room.
Meanwhile, outside, ponies were minding their own business when Godzilla's roar echoed throughout Canterlot. Ponies grew anxious as it startled them. Then, giant footsteps were heard.
Each foot step was growing louder and closer, the ground shaking more violently with each. Suddenly, a blue beam of light shot across Canterlot before hitting the top of a tower.
The part of the tower that was hit exploded, rubble and debris falling from the top before crashing to the ground below, ponies screaming as they avoided it.
Then, a mighty thunderous roar was heard as it sent chills up everypony's spine. They all turned to the monster that was responsible.
A giant, five-toed foot stomped into view as each toe had a giant, sharp claw. Everypony's gaze went up the creature's body. Godzilla looked down at all the ponies, which looked like ants from his perspective.
Godzilla was so huge that he blocked the sun from some of the ponies' perspectives. Everypony looked up at the huge creature in absolute terror.
Godzilla let out a low growl before letting out another mighty roar. This time, everypony screamed and went into a state of panic. Godzilla stomps forward, the ground shaking with each foot step.
He sees a tower before using his arm and swatting it, causing it to fall over. Ponies avoid it as it comes crashing down. Godzilla roars again before he continues his rampage.
Meanwhile, Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy witness the chaos as it goes on. In the near distance, they see Godzilla causing destruction.
"We better hurry before he reduces this city to rubble" Twilight said.
"You guys go on. I'll try and distract it, try and give you time to evacuate" Rainbow said before she begins to fly off.
"What!? No, Rainbow, you are not doing that" Twilight said, holding her by the tail with her magic, "You'll get yourself killed!".
"I'd rather die trying to save Equestria then stand by and watch and only rescue half the ponies here" Rainbow said. Twilight knew Rainbow was right. With that being said, she let her go.
Twilight watched as she left before snapping back.
"Come on, Fluttershy" Twilight said and the two began the evacuation.
Meanwhile, Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkie had just arrived in Canterlot to see the destruction and chaos. Already, buildings were destroyed and on fire.
"Come on, we need to find Twilight" Applejack said and they agreed. They then looked as Godzilla's tail swayed not to far away and his mighty roar was heard.
Rainbow flew up to Godzilla's head. Godzilla soon noticed the pegasus. She got up to eye level with him.
"What makes you think you can come here and destroy our city. More importantly, my town that I live in!?" Rainbow said. Godzilla let out a low growl and his eyes narrowed.
"Well, I tell you this, leave now, or you will suffer the consequences" Rainbow warned. Godzilla's expression turned from not caring to irritated.
Then, he let out a thunderous roar at Rainbow, the wind somersaulting her back. When she straightened herself, she took on an angry expression.
"You wanna do this the hard way, we'll do this the hard way!" Rainbow said before she charged. She then slammed into Godzilla's eye. Godzilla roared in pain, and now, he was mad.
He roared out before biting at Rainbow, but she dodged it. He swatted at her, but she dodged that to. For Godzilla, it was like swatting at a fly, but to Rainbow Dash, it was like going through an obstacle course.
Luckily, she was just too fast. Godzilla roared in frustration as he tried getting at Rainbow.
Down below, Twilight had just helped some citizens out of the city.
"Quick, head to Ponyville. You'll be safe there for now" Twilight said.
"Oh, thank you, princess" one of the ponies said. She watched as they left before she looked back up at Godzilla.
"Twilight!" a familiar voice said. She looked to see Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity.
"Oh, thank goodness you guys made it" Twilight said.
"So, what's the plan" Pinkie said, being serious.
"Evacuate the citizens. I know I said we were going to battle this thing, but now, I think that's a bad idea as it's already leveled 1/3 of Canterlot and we'll have way more casualties" Twilight said.
Now that they thought about, the 3 agreed.
"Where's Fluttershy and Rainbow?" Rarity asked.
"I'm here" Fluttershy said, appearing.
"Okay, where's Rainbow" Applejack wondered. Twilight and Fluttershy both had a nervous expression on their face before they looked towards Godzilla. The 3 looked as well to see the silhouette of a pegasus speeding around Godzilla's head as Godzilla swatted at it.
"No" Rarity said coldly.
"Is that...?" Pinkie questioned and Twilight responded with a slow nod. Now, the 3 got a bad feeling.
"Come on, let's not let that get us distracted. She'll distract it as long as she can" Twilight said, snapping back. The others agreed.
"Let's finish evacuating" Twilight said.
Meanwhile, Luna had organized an army of guards. Unicorns had their horns charged and pegasus were ready to take to the air.
"Is that everypony?" Princess Celestia asked as she joined at Luna's side.
"Like you wanted more?" Luna questioned.
Then, they took their battle stances.
"Equestria forever!" Luna shouted before she and her sister charged into battle, with an army of pegasus behind them. The guards yelled as they charged.
Godzilla soon noticed them, and so did Rainbow. She was happy they brought backup.
"Rainbow Dash! What are you doing here?!" Luna questioned.
"Helping you" Rainbow said. Luna smiled before she fired a laser beam at Godzilla. It barely affected Godzilla, as to him, it felt like a small pinch.
The guards jabbed their spears into Godzilla, but it had no affect as Godzilla's hide was very thick. Godzilla swatted at the ponies, but missed them.
However, one guard wasn't so lucky and he was swatted away by Godzilla's claw. He yelled in pain as it felt like a run-away freight train hit him.
"Now!" Luna shouted and the unicorns below fired laser beams at Godzilla. Godzilla growled a little in pain as the laser beams hit him. This was beginning to remind him of back home. Now, Godzilla decided that this was enough.
Suddenly, his spikes began to flash with blue energy before they were fully lit. Then, he opened his mouth as a blue glow increased from within his mouth.
Then, before long, an eerie charging sound was heard before his atomic breath shot forth from his mouth at the unicorns.
The unicorns didn't have time to react and they were incinerated by the radiation and intense heat. Then, Godzilla stopped firing, but his spikes still glowed blue.
Then, he leaned back before he shot his atomic breath again at the pegasi. Luckily, many dodged the blue ray, but some were unlucky and were fried to nothing in its path.
He then aimed it at Canterlot, decimating anything in its path. Buildings were reduced to rubble and ponies were incinerated. Then, Godzilla was finally done and the blue energy died down.
Celestia and Luna had blank expressions across their faces, but Rainbow was a little angry.
"RETREAT!" Luna immediately said and she and the pegasi flew away, followed by Celestia and Rainbow. However, Godzilla wasn't finished yet.
He turned towards the retreating pegasi before his dorsal plates charged up again before he shot his breath after them.
"Watch out!" Rainbow shouted before everypony dodged, except two unlucky guards who were incinerated. Their screams faded within a second of the atomic breath hitting them.
Then, the blue ray died down and Godzilla watched as the ponies retreated.
Twilight had just gotten the last of the ponies out of Canterlot. Then, she saw Celestia, Luna, Rainbow, and some other pegasus guards fly overhead. She was thankful that they weren't hurt.
"Let's get out of here!" Fluttershy said and they all agreed. They ran as fast as they could away from Canterlot and back towards Ponyville.
Twilight looked back at the destruction and shed a tear as Canterlot was gone, all because of that monster. Twilight looked back at Godzilla one last time before she continued on.
Godzilla then twirls around, knocking a tower over in the process with his tail before pointing his head skyward and letting out a mighty thunderous roar that echoed across Equestria, letting this place know he's the new King.
Somewhere Up North
A pony hikes through a blizzard. He is dressed in warm clothes, but is doesn't totally protect him from the cold wind and snow. He holds a hoof over his eyes before seeing a glacier.
He walks up to it and puts his hoof on it, feeling a strange energy radiating from it before he notices something within. He swipes away some snow before he sees the silhouette of what appears to be a giant talon.
He then swipes away more snow to reveal more of the foot, but this thing trapped in the ice was too big for him to see it fully. Knowing this could be something big, he immediately heads towards the Crystal Empire.
Meanwhile, in the back street of an ally, a pony falls down. His eyes open with them having a white hue. Then, a hoof stomps down in front of him as Tirek finishes absorbing the magic. He has grown in appearance.
His brown, wrinkled skin is now red and his horns have grown a bit. His once weak muscles are now bulkier in appearance.
"At this rate, I will have all the magic in Equestria by days end, and nothing, not a single beast or pony will be able to stop me" Tirek said before he walks off, leaving the little pony lying helplessly. The pony then weakly gets up.
"You'll never get enough magic to rule Equestria" the pony said. Tirek stops before looking back at the pony.
"Let's agree to disagree" Tirek said before he stomps off, "Now, I think I'll head for the Crystal Empire, where that little baby Alicorn will give me the magic I need to begin my conquest." Tirek smirked before he laughed maniacally.
