A Week Later: Jacksonville Florida.
"A little different than WWE HQ huh?" Moxley smiled as they walked in to Tony's office.
"Yeah a different vibe too. More NFL stuff too." Kate joked.
"Jacksonville Jaguars babe." Mox grinned.
"You are just way to excited for this interview. I am a little nervous."
"Nah don't be nervous Tony is gonna love you." Moxley smiled as he knocked on the door marked Tony Kahn.
"Hey boss." Moxley said walking right in as he heard Tony say come in.
"Hi Jon and this must lovely Kate. HI Tony Kahn." He said reaching out his hand to shake hers.
"HI Mr. Kahn it's a pleasure to meet you and thank you for taking the time to meet with me." Kate said shaking his head.
"Call me Tony and of course. Mox has been talking about you none stop and said I had to meet you. Here have a seat." He told them.
Moxley and Kate sat down in the chairs on the other side of Tony's desk and he sat in his chair.
"So I went over your resume very impressive. But you know I have to ask hearing it from you why you want to leave WWE."
"Mr. Kahn." She started to say before he interrupted her.
"Tony please less formal is better." He smiled.
"Right sorry. Tony I have loved my time at WWE. I met my husband and my best friends there. But I think it's time to spread my wings and see what else is out there. There is some personal issues going on and being honest I don't want to deal with pettiness that is the WWE." She stated.
Tony nodded and a smile appeared on his face.
"Well I can't see why you wouldn't fit in here. Mox has raved about you as has Brandi and Cody. Not to mention Jericho and others you have worked with. I talked with Dr. Sampson and he said he wanted to meet you as well. So Kate welcome to the AEW medical team." Tony smiled standing up.
"Really? That's it?"
"That's it. Mox will you take her down to the trainers room. Dr. Sampson is down their getting ready for tonight's show."
"Tony I can't thank you enough for giving me this chance." She said shaking his hand again.
"Don't thank me yet. You may be running for the door once you meet the elite." Tony joked.
Kate smiled as they left his office.
"I can't believe it."
"Believe it babe. I told you , you had this in the bag." Moxley smiled at her.
"I have a feeling you knew I was hired before we even got here." Kate laughed as they got to the elevator.
"Alright I did. We talked last week and then Tony met with Brandi, Cody and Jericho to talk about what they thought. We all wanted you here. You know what you are doing and I said you needed to get out of WWE. So welcome to the AEW team babe." Moxley said smacking her ass.
"Owe! Ass! That hurt." She laughed rubbing her butt.
"It was just a little tap." He laughed as the elevator doors opened their stood Matt and Nick The Young Bucks.
"Mox you crazy SOB what brings you to work on time?" Nick joked with him.
"It was bound to happen at some point." Moxley joked back.
"And who is this lovely lady?" Matt asked as Kate and Moxley got into the elevator.
"HI I'm Kate Rollins." Kate smile shaking the Young Bucks hands.
"Oh this is the Kate that you couldn't stop talking about last week." Nick said.
"The Kate? Mox you were talking about me? It better have been good stuff because I know a few of your secretes." She joked.
"I like her already. Don't worry Kate it was all good stuff." Matt said. "So did you decide to come work for use? Be the Elite?"
"Hey who said she was gonna be the Elite?" Mox asked.
"Well I sure as hell am not gonna be in the dark order or inner circle so what the hell is left?" Kate laughed as they elevator doors opened and they got off and headed towards the trainers area.
"Oh now I really like her." Nick chuckled.
"Team Moxley babe!" Moxley said as he smacked her ass.
"OWE ass hat! You know I hate that." She laughed rubbing her butt again.
"I know." Moxley grinned.
"Besides you know I am always team Moxley." Kate smiled.
"Damn straight." He smiled as they walked into the trainers room as their were a few AEW talent around the gym area.
"This must be Kate?" Dr. Sampson asked reaching out to shake her hand.
"Hi yes I am Kate. Dr. Sampson right?" She asked shaking his hand.
"Yes. So Tony called down and said I had to meet you and show you around. I also took a little look at your resume and would love you to be apart of my team." Dr. Sampson said.
As he started showing her around the trainers room and they took a quick look at the gym.
"So what do you say Kit? Come to the dark side?" Mox said in a dark creepy voice.
Kate looked around the trainers area she didn't know why but this felt right she could see herself working here.
"I guess I should give Vince my two weeks noticed huh?" Kate smiled.
"Hell yes she's All Elite Wrestling now boys!" Moxley smiled picking her up and twirling her around. "Now let's go make sure Tony pays you well." He joked as they headed back up stairs.
"Whose the skirt?" Kenny Omega said coming over to the Young Bucks as he had just finished a work out.
"Kate Rollins the new Medical assistant." Nick answered as he noticed Kenny was totally checking her out.
"She's cute. I could get with that." Kenny said chugging some water.
"She's good eye candy agreed but she is Seth Rollin's wife." Matt stated.
"Then why is she coming to AEW?" Kenny asked.
"Not sure didn't ask. But looks like you'll have to get in line anyway." Nick stated pointing to Kate and Moxley as he was shoving her playfully as they were laughing while getting on the elevator.
Later that Night.
Kate was laying in her bed in the hotel after a fun filled evening hanging out with Mox. They also went out to dinner with Cody and Brandi it was so nice to see them again as it had been several years since she had seen them. Tony gave her a very fair offer and was getting her contract set and she would sign it as soon as her current contract was done with WWE. As she laid there she grabbed her phone to check in on the kids. They were home in Iowa with Seth.
"Hey Baby! I am so glad you called I miss you, the kids miss you." Seth said.
"How are my babies? Are they sleeping alright? Are you feeding them more than junk?" She asked quickly.
"They are good Ella just asked when Mom was coming home. I told her you would be home tomorrow. Jax's is good he wont eat anything green odd child that one. We played outside and then I took them to the gym for a bit. They can be moody when they want can't they? I thought the world was ending when I asked to brush Ella's hair and Jax had to have a certain blanket and it was dirty." Seth said.
"Yes you have to spray the no more tangle stuff on Ella's hair before she will even give you a chance. Jax's loves his baby blanket but he actually has two the other is in the basket in the laundry room and he gets that one when the other needs to be washed. I guess I should have told you that." Kate said staring at the ceiling.
"It's all good. I just can't wait for you to come home tomorrow. But I have to be honest I know you aren't in Orlando at the performance center. So where are you?"
Kate took a deep breathe before she answered her husband.
"I know I should have been honest but if I told you where I was going you would have tried to stop me and I needed to do this for my self. You're right I am not in Orlando I am in Jacksonville."
"Florida?" Seth asked.
"No Mississippi." She said rolling her eyes. "Yes Florida."
"Why?" Seth asked.
"Can we talk about this when I get home tomorrow?" Kate asked.
"Kate please stop shutting me out. I know I fucked up but this has to stop. You are shutting me out sneaking around. Just be honest with me damn it." Seth said.
Kate laughed out loud. "Pot meet kettle. You haven't been honest with me in over a year Seth so yeah I lied and told you I was going to Orlando. Was it my best move no it wasn't but after the shitty week I had with Mania and all the drama with the night after I was done alright done. So yeah I went to Jacksonville and just so you know I met with Tony Kahn."
"Tony Kahn? Kate Rollins you didn't? AEW are you fucking kidding me?" Seth said annoyed.
"Yes AEW Tony Kahn. He offered me a contract to work on their medical team. I think I may take it."
"Moxley that son of a bitch." Seth growled.
"What? This has nothing to do with Jon." Kate stated.
"Is he in Jacksonville with you?" Seth asked.
"Yes he introduced me to Tony and a few of the Elite guys. But again Mox is a friend Seth. I needed to do this for me. You have no idea how hard it is for me to go to work every day and see Becky Lynch knowing my husband slept with her? Not just once Seth but you were basically having a relationship with her. That hurts my heart every time I see her I want to punch her in the face. So I needed to see what other options were out there." Kate admitted as she was still laying on the bed.
"Kate Baby just come home and let's talk about this please? I want to sit down and actually talk about us because I don't care what you may think Kate Rollins I am not giving up on you and our family. I love you Kate!"
Kate took a deep breath. "You know I love you too but I just don't know where we go from here. You've said many things over the last month but your actions are speaking louder then your words."
"Just come home and we'll talk OK baby please?"
"I'll be home tomorrow." She said.
As she hung up the phone she put in down on the night stand. She knew AEW would be a good fit for her but would this be another thing that drove a wedge between her and her husband. Was her marriage already damaged beyond repair? She knew she needed to go home to Iowa and have that talk with her husband. As all these thoughts about her children and her marriage flooded her mind her phone buzzed on the night stand. She looked at it to see a text message from Mox.
"Two weeks Double or Nothing Babe!"
She smiled at Moxley's text as another popped up this time from Seth.
"I can't wait to see you tomorrow. I have a surprise for you my wife. I love you!"
