Terror, adrenaline, confusion; all things John Watson was used too. Being hunted by a werewolf in a forest in California on an Earth that wasn't his and in a universe that he didn't belong to…well that was something so incredibly out of the ordinary, and he rather hoped he wouldn't have to get used to any of it.

John's sweaty hand was in Sherlock's as they caught their breath behind the trunk of a thick tree, he could see Bruce and Tony doing the same a few trees away to their left and Sam and Gabriel two trees to their right. They were falling back in waves, each wave trying to hold Remus off while getting him to follow them back to the anomalies. It was no simple feat, especially when they were not to wound Remus but the werewolf seemed determined to hurt them.

Sherlock, on the other hand, was still reeling that werewolves appeared to be real; there was no ominous mist or fog, no suspicious military facility and no uncertainties this time. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth; in this case, werewolves were real.

Jim and Spock ran past their tree, and then Lucifer and Marcus followed by Stiles and Derek, who was also a werewolf but a different kind somehow. That meant Harry, Severus and Sirius were up with the Doctor and Rose.

Blue flashes of light accompanied by two voices yelling, "Stupefy!" lit up the dark forest. The moonlight barely penetrated through the thick canopy just giving them enough light to see a few metres around them. Sirius barked and then seconds later whimpered, John could hear the thud as he hit something hard. People turning into animals; that was another thing he wasn't used to.

"Rose, no!" the Doctor's voice echoed through the woods. John peered around the tree in time to see the Doctor push Rose out of the way and take the blow from Remus's long arm. The Doctor was knocked to the ground rubbing his shoulder, Remus was preparing for round two but Harry and Severus distracted the werewolf before it could attack the couple further.

"Doctor, are you alright?" Rose knelt next to the Doctor and tried to inspect his shoulder.

"I'll be fine, help me up, and don't do anything like that again, I could've lost you," he told her sternly and accepted the hand she offered. He only wavered slightly before standing without help.

Sam and Gabriel appeared from a nearby tree, the human brandishing a gun and the archangel wielding a silver and gold twirled blade, "We'll take it from here, go!" Sam told them and shot a round into the sky causing a couple of birds to squawk and take off.

The Doctor and Rose didn't have to be told twice and they retreated, Severus picked up Sirius, who seemed to be too dazed to walk and followed the couple briskly, Harry brought up the rear, wand still at the ready.

The toughest part about this was that they were trying awfully hard not to harm Remus, he'd already been hit by a car in the last couple of days and was still recovering. However it was making their job mighty difficult, it was easy to shoot, hit or stab something, but it was a challenge to defend yourself against something you couldn't injure that wanted to hurt you.

Sam and Gabriel backed towards John and Sherlock's tree, but then Remus rushed them and Sam didn't have time to react. Gabe appeared in front of him in a split second, blade gone and grabbed the werewolf's bony wrists, Remus snapped and snarled at him, getting spit on Gabriel's favourite jacket.

"Bad werewolf," shamed Gabriel, "you cannot eat my samsquatch," and then he tossed Remus to the side, the werewolf whimpered as it hit the solid ground.

"Sorry, Remus," Sam said to the werewolf as it tried to get back up, "quick, let's go."

Sam and Gabe fled, following everyone else as they headed for the anomalies, they noticed John, Sherlock, Bruce and Tony running just ahead of them, everyone had made a break for it while Remus was down.

When Remus howled it was too close for comfort, they had regrouped at a big blue police box (in the middle of a forest in America, what the…?) and everyone seemed to be catching their breath.

"God, he's so fast," Tony commented, he and Bruce were leaning on each.

"It's alright, we made it to the TARDIS, the clearing is just over there," the Doctor waved his hand in the direction they had been running in.

"What are waiting for then, let's finish this and go home," Lucifer declared.

There was a general noise of agreement, including a growl even closer than the howl had been, Sirius, who was back on his feet, stayed at the back with Derek and Gabriel to let the others get a head start.

Sam raced to the front of the group, he knew Dean was less likely to shoot first, ask questions later if it was his brother coming out of the trees first. He could see the clearing between thick trunks and bushy shrubs, it was lit up by six shimmering orbs of light. Dean was there, as Sam had suspected, he was pointing his gun at them, "Dean, it's us!" he called out, his hand visoring his face as the glare of the lights were too bright in his night adjusted eyes.

"Sam!?" the relief was obvious in his brother's voice, "thank god," Dean lowered the gun and torch so they could embrace briefly, "catch me up."

"We were right, Remus is a werewolf," Dean made an 'I knew it' face, "but not like any we've seen. We met up with Remus' family, also, I think Sirius is a skinwalker, and followed him into the woods, where we found Stiles and Derek; the pair that hit Remus with their car in the first place, turns out Derek is a werewolf too. Anyway, we've been trying to lead Remus back here without either side taking blows," Sam concluded his recount.

"And I thought I had the weird team," Dean retorted, "Merlin's a witch-"

"Wizard!" Merlin corrected him from his position on the ground with Arthur, he was still trying to regain some energy for what he knew lay ahead.

"Yeah, witch, wizard, whatever, anyway, we've lost Remus' damn anomaly, it closed," Sam's mouth dropped open as Dean continued, "Merlin can tap into the energy underground and open it back up but he can't keep it open, so he's going to try joining Cas and Gabe's powers with his own to get everyone back home," Dean informed his brother as he watched the stream of people join them in the clearing.

"Sounds like a plan, let's hope it works," Sam said paying more attention to the forest as vicious snarling came into earshot.

Raising his gun again, Dean replied, "It has to, it's the only plan we've got."

Derek and Sirius came running into the clearing last, both looking worse for wear and Gabriel 'poofed' into existence next to Sam, "Incoming," he warned as Remus smashed through a couple of small shrubs.

"Cas and Merlin need you, they'll explain," Sam told Gabriel and the archangel jogged over to the waiting wizard and angel.

"We need to keep Remus away from Merlin while he re-opens the anomaly, don't let him go through any others in the meantime," Dean raised his voice so everyone could hear the plan.

Everyone agreed, but no one took their eyes off the approaching werewolf. They spread out and encircled Remus so he couldn't take off back into the forest; however boxing in an animal like that never boded well.

Remus snapped and snarled as they went around distracting him from every angle; shouting, provoking, stomping the ground, trying to confuse him, and it worked…for a minute or so. He became too agitated though and finally launched at someone, that someone was Marcus.

Marcus was standing in front of Merlin, unfortunately the force of Remus ramming into him sent Marcus falling backwards into Merlin and effectively ruining any progress he had made with the anomaly. Arthur moved quickly, attending to his partner who he knew was their only hope in getting everyone home.

Sherlock whistled from the opposite side and got the attention of the werewolf before it decided to find out what Marcus tasted like. Rose threw some small rocks at Remus' back and he turned and growled at her before Spock shot his phaser (on stun) at clawed feet. Snarling followed, Derek growled back and then Tony clapped his hands together, "Oi, over here."

Kirk followed suit, and then Sam, John was next and then it was Bruce's turn. Remus was getting agitated again, his head turned back and forth from one noise to the next, but they realised too late and when he went for Bruce he didn't stop.

A strong arm batted Bruce to the ground like he was nothing, a dull thunk told them that Bruce's head had collided on the solid earth, and the werewolf escaped through the gap now in their defences.

"Son of a bitch!"

Remus seemed confused for a moment by the dazzling lights of the anomalies that surrounded him, so he just barrelled straight ahead and into the nearest anomaly.

"Oh, fuck," Sherlock grimaced, Mycroft was never going to let him live this down.

"We'll handle this," Severus announced as he, Harry and Sirius followed Remus into the anomaly.

"Tony!" Bruce's dazed cry was full of worry and fear, as he lay on the ground and scrambled for something in his pocket, but both Bruce and Tony knew it was too late.

Tony's eyes went wide, "Shit," was all he said, he changed direction and started to run away from Bruce towards their own anomaly.

Everyone else was too concerned with Remus being in the wrong anomaly to notice that Bruce was rapidly gaining muscle and height, not to mention his skin had turned green.
