The sun rises over a decimated Ponyville. Ash and embers continue to fly upwards from the remaining ruins. Ponies have already started to put out the fires.
There were few casualties from the destruction, but those who lost their loved ones mourned them. Meanwhile, at Twilight's Castle, Twilight, her friends, and the princesses were discussing the matter at hand.
"So, Canterlot and Ponyville are destroyed" Starlight said, "That is very unfortunate"
"We can't begin repairs until that monster leaves, which I'm pretty sure he won't be leaving soon" Luna said.
"Do you think we could lure him away?" Fluttershy asked.
"That's very unlikely as he wouldn't move from his spot when we attacked him" Celestia said.
"What do you think Twilight?" Rainbow asked. All eyes focused on her.
"I honestly have no idea, but putting the matter on how to get rid of this creature aside, this thing, I don't think, is from our world."
"Yes" Luna said, "I haven't seen anything like it before."
"And there's no record of it in any book" Twilight said.
"But it's power is beyond anything I've ever seen" Celestia said, "I don't think the Elements of Harmony will be able to stop it."
"Not to mention that beam it shoots from its mouth" Applejack said.
"Or that terrifying roar" Fluttershy said, cowering in fear.
"Well, if it's not going anywhere, I think we should study it, learn everything we can" Twilight said, "Maybe we could identify a weakness."
"That's a good idea, but..." Starlight said.
"ARE YOU INSANE" Rainbow suddenly shouted.
"That thing will surely kill you if you mess with it, darling" Rarity said.
"I know, but if we don't research it, Equestria may be doomed" Twilight said. The others agreed at that point.
"I'm not saying you have to go, but the sooner we figure out how to defeat this thing, the better" Twilight said. With that, the meeting was over.
Back up North, a pony walked through the snow, but he was followed by Princess Cadence and Shining Armor. It was the same pony from earlier who discovered the thing in the ice.
Already, scaffolds are already around the glacier and a team of ponies are excavating its structure.
"I'm glad you guys came down" the pony said in an Irish-like accent, "We found something you've got to see. It could be the discovery of a lifetime."
The two looked as lights were placed around the structure. From within, they could see the silhouette of a giant dragon. They looked closer to see it has three heads and two tails.
"We don't know how long this thing's been here, but we're going to excavate as much as we can without disturbing it if it still alive." the pony said.
"Well, if it's hibernating, don't wake it up" Shining said.
"We'll send some guards down just in case, but I hope it goes well" Cadence said.
"Thank you" the pony replied, "And I hope this is the discovery of a life time." With that said, the pony went over to his crew and Shining and Cadence headed back to the Crystal Empire.
Later in the day, a blizzard had come through. It was so dark that it felt like night, even though it was in the middle of the day.
"Work faster and harder, lads and ladies" the lead pony shouted.
"The blizzard's getting worse, sir" a worker pony said.
"Keep trudging lad" the lead pony said persistently. Ponies mined with their pickaxes while the guards that Cadence and Shining Armor sent kept watch. One pony was mining before he hits a rough spot.
Suddenly, the ice cracks a bit with his next strike. He looks up as a crack runs up the glacier and more cracking could be heard.
"Oh, crap" he cursed before the glacier gave way. Chunks of ice, scaffolds, and ponies came in an avalanche down. Everypony ran for their lives, trying not to get crushed.
Soon, the avalanche stopped and a cloud was left where the glacier once stood. The lead pony looked as other ponies rushed to help the injured.
Soon the cloud dispersed to reveal the three heads of the dragon non-moving on the base of the glacier. Half of its body was still submerged in the glacier, but it was huge.
"Sweet Celestia" the lead pony said. The others looked as well at the marvel of the golden scaled giant. They soon went back to work after the injured were taken care of.
A pony went up to begin pickaxing again and got a real close look of the middle head. He began mining before he felt a sudden rush of air with a snort.
He froze before he slowly turned his head towards the middle head to see it stirring. The middle head slowly opened its eyes before they stared at each other. Suddenly, the head showed his teeth with a growl.
The pony was immobilized by fear as the head began to raise up, showing the dragon's shear size as it towered over the pony. Suddenly, he came to his senses and immediately ran away.
"IT'S AWAKE!" He shouted. Everypony turned as the middle head roared out. The other two heads began to stir as well. The right head was the first to raise up, followed by the left head shortly after.
They looked at each other before looking down at the scattering ponies. Suddenly, the clouds above begin to flash yellow lightning. The dragon's heads all roar out.
"Quickly, run!" a pony shouted.
"Let's go! OUT! OUT! OUT!" another pony shouted. The heads then looked at each other before their necks begin to glow yellow. A pony stops to look before he realizes the danger too late.
"Oh, sh-" the pony said, but was cut off as beams of electricity shot from the dragon's mouths. The dragon moved its heads around as the lightning beams vaporized everything in their path's, along with any unlucky pony.
The beams soon died down. They growled before a massive right wing lifts from the ice, followed by a left wing.
The dragon crawled out of the glacier, the last to come up were its two tails, which then shake off the ice before the spikes rise up. The dragon roars out before spreading its mighty wings and taking to the sky.
The ponies who had escaped the carnage look overhead as the three headed dragon soars through the air. They notice its direction, which is straight for the Crystal Empire.
"Oh no" the lead pony said with a look of worry on his face, "What have we done."

FYI, the cracking of the ice made me think of Ice Age and the lead pony at the end made me think of the Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
You know, at the very end when Bilbo Baggins says, "What have we done" as Smaug heads for the village. Just to let you know. Anyways, that's all for now. Also, sorry if this chapter was short.
