Tarzan tracks across mighty suburbia and eventually ends up in Portland, where he is befuddled by the lifestyle and gadgetry of "domestication". Tarzan displays his very different ways by complaining about the necessity of wearing clothing, and expressing his unique wonderment at horse cabs. Tarzan comments that various African-Americans he sees making a living throughout Portland are descendants of slaves from places far away from his jungle home.
Tarzan attempts to get back by legal means. This leads to a moving sequence where the judge asks Tarzan what the fishing is like back in Bwindi and what he considers to be the important things that he needs to teach Erica Blum. Before commuting back to suburbia, the judge grants Tarzan full legal custody of Erica, so that he starts to run a magazine stand.
