I'm on a half hour break right now.

Original I did not have anything about Gale, Mirajane, or any of this other stuff written. I'm kind of glad the original work disappeared now lol.


With each passing day Lucy found it harder and harder to continue seeing Galen. Mirajane's words always came to mind when with him, scolding her, tormenting her already fragile state of mind, reminding her that she did not love him.

She was a horrible person, Lucy realized as she stared at Galen from across the café's outdoor table that Monday morning.

"Let's go dancing this weekend?" Galen had suddenly suggested once he finished his tea.

"Oh? What brought this on?" Lucy questioned, trying to sound interested. She was a horrible, terrible, person.

A charming crooked smirk was sent her way, making her feel all the worse about herself. "You remember how I told you I've been talking with Dr. Mathews?"

"The one with the orange hair? Yes, why?"

Galen placed his cup down and leaned close, a wide smile on his face. "As of yesterday morning, we have decided to go in to business together! We will be opening up our own clinic here in Magnolia!"

Ignoring the churning disgust she felt at herself, she played the part she placed herself in, acting like the girlfriend she wish she could be. Smiling widely with closed eyes she clapped her hands in happiness. "That is amazing! I know how much you've been dreaming about this and now you're getting the chance to make your dreams come true!"

"I know right!" He exclaimed. "And what better way than to celebrate by going out to dance and dine with the woman I love? I would have liked to go sooner, preferably tonight, but I'm booked with surgeries and such, but I've already asked for Saturday off to go out with you."

It took all her will power not to let her smile fall, revulsion and guilt at her deceit eating away at her.

She was repugnant...
