University Crush
Ruby rushed to her Literature class. She is on the verge of graduating from BUV (Beacon University of Vale) and this is the last class she needs, but she's not just taking the class to graduate. She genuinely loves the subject and also because of her. Ruby reaches her class on time. She finds her seat and gets ready. Soon a woman enters and sits next to her.
"Hey Ruby!" the young woman greeted her.
Ruby blushed "H-hey Blake" Ruby stumbles a bit knocking a pencil and her note to the ground in an attempt to look cool. (ugh I spent a whole semester with her and I still look like a dork".
Ruby looked up to she Blakes giggle and smile.
"at least I made her smile," she thought to herself.
Soon a woman enters the classroom.
"Good afternoon class, now I hope you know that your exam project will be due by the end of the month so I hope you have your partners to work with" Professor Glynda announced to her class before starting properly. Ruby had a bright idea.
At the end of class Ruby
"Hey Blake you wanna be-"
But Blake had the same idea
"be partners? Let's do it!"
Ruby pleasantly surprised tried to keep her tried to hide her excitement. "S-sure s-sounds good!" Ruby tried
"Alright then," Blake said. "this weekend? If your free that is"
"I'm free your dorm or mine?"
Blake paused "y-yours is fine!"
Ruby smiled "great it's a date!"
"Date?!" Blake asked
Ruby went wide-eyed "S-study date! You know"
Blake also went wide eye and nervously chuckled 'oh right of course"
The two then laughed
Over the course of the month, the two worked hard on the project. Researching in the library, getting lunch together, writing typing, getting dinner. The two became so close one would think they were dating.
When the project date arrived Ruby felt a wave of nervousness rush through her, she was never really good at giving presentations. Memories of high school flashed through her and were making her sick until she felt one of Blakes hand on hers, Ruby looked at Blake, Her beautiful amber eyes, warm smile, and gentle touch was chasing away her anxiety. Soon it was their turn, Ruby and Blake got up, and walk towards the front of the hall filled with confidence and give their presentation.
At the end of class, Ruby jumped and down.
"That was amazing! We got an A for sure! And I'm acting like a dork!" Ruby stopped jumping and tried to act mature but Blake laughed
"That's what I love about you, Ruby!"
"aw, Blake... wait what?"
Blake blushed. She then cleared her throat "um Ruby I don't know but would you… do you want to go on a date… with me?"
Excitement ran through Ruby. "like a study-date?"
Blake looked at Ruby and smiled "like a date-date"
Ruby really wanted to jump for joy "I'm free this weekend"
And so the two girls discuss their new plans for a romantic evening!
