The sun was setting on another day in Beacon Hills, the town was slowing down and the animals of the forest were returning to their hidey holes for the night. Long shadows stretched over the clearing that, only one month ago, had seen a great phenomenon and an unlikely group of people work together to accomplish something that had never been done before.
The wildflowers that had sprung up in the center of the clearing had an almost golden glow about them, as if the earth itself cared for these tiny blossoms. A slight breeze rustled the leaves of the canopy, and an owl hooted in the distance as the sun made it's final decent and the first full moon of the month took reign of the night sky.
Suddenly, a golden light pulsed in the clearing and then disappeared. It pulsed again, only to vanish as fast as it had appeared. The third time the glistening golden orb appeared, it stayed stable; illuminating the entire clearing with its bright intensity.
Everything was still again for a few minutes, until the light quivered and out of the brightness came a huge dark figure. It was bigger than a human, had large milky white eyes and bared a mouth full of pointed teeth that were as sharp as they looked. A tongue that would make KISS jealous protruded out of it's mouth to lick lips that consisted of the same black mass as the rest of its body.
The next moment, half of it's big black face split open and one side peeled away to reveal a human's face underneath. Together they glanced around the empty clearing.
"What should we do now, Venom?" the human asked, though both mouths moved as one.
"Whatever we want, Eddie," the black face completed itself once again, and they took off into the night.

Aziraphale closed the book and stared at the cover for a moment as one does when processing the end of a fictional journey.
Crowley was not so calm next to him, "That can't be the end! I'm not ready for it to be over…I need to know what happens next!"
Aziraphale chuckled to himself and patted Crowley's knee as he sat the book down on the coffee table next to his empty mug, "Perhaps there will be a sequel one day, but I guess that will be a story for another time."
Crowley pouted, which made Aziraphale draw him in for a tender kiss.
They stayed there on the couch wrapped up in each other as the sun rose and the world outside awoke to start another day.
