Free time
Ruby collapsed on the cabin room's bed.
"I'm BEAT!"
The whole past two weeks for the Ladybug couple have been chaotic. From escort, to search and rescue, clearing out grim, and so forth. The last mission was tough, Another escort mission that seemed to go easily until a large grim began to chase them. It took half an hour to bring down the beast.
Blake walked up to the bed and lied beside her.
"you can say that again."
Blake then saw Ruby raise her hand in front of her, it was no question what she was looking at, see's been looking at it for weeks.
Ruby smiled "we're getting married!"
Blake smiled. As excitement ran through her. She reached Ruby's hands and held it lovingly.
"yep, we are!"
The two then looked at each other, smiled, and leaned into a kiss. Unfortunately, was the moment interrupted by a call from Ruby's scroll. Ruby and Blake grumbled at the interruption and answered the call.
"Hey you two"
"Hey, Robyn!" Ruby greeted.
Blake and Ruby had started to help out Robyn with missions outside of Atlas in hopes of uniting the four kingdoms.
"you two kids doing okay"
Blake and Ruby looked at each other.
"we're fine Ms. Hill" Ruby answered "just tired"
"well guess what! You two have time off tomorrow! So rest up and relax! I'll let you know what's happening next! Until then, have fun!"
After the call ended Ruby found her reserve energy and jumped up in excitement.
"We Have free time Blake! FREE TIME! What should we do tomorrow? See a movie? Go to the library? Go on a brunch date or maybe go to a fancy restaurant ah there's so much to do!"
Blake couldn't help smiling at her fiancé's antics, She then gathers what was left of her energy, took Ruby's hand and brought her to bed and in a quiet voice told her ideas on what they could do.
"How about we have a day in? and by that, I mean sleep in cause I am exhausted"
Ruby looked at Blake and smiled "you know that sounds really good"
Blake glanced up in thought "but a brunch date does sound good"
Ruby Smiled "brunch date in then"
"Wonderful idea" Blake smiled as well. Soon the two had fallen asleep in each other's arms.
The Next day the two spent their time snacking on cookies and drinking tea while catching up on their reading. Blake would glance at the engagement ring and then her love who was doing the same. They would have plenty of time for out of the town fun and moments like the one they're having now. For that moment everything is right.
