"I not wike dat Daddy." Ella said in tears.
"Princess don't cry. What's wrong you always have apples?" Seth said looking at her little Minnie mouse plate with the cut up apples on it.
"No not wiks dat." She sniffled rubbing her eyes.
"Princess I am not sure what you mean? I always cut it for you like this?" Seth said looking at her.
"Everything alright in here?" Kate asked coming into the kitchen. She was carrying Jaxon who had just gotten up from his nap. His head resting on her shoulder as he rubbed his eyes.
"I don't know she's upset because I apparently didn't do something right with her snack?" Seth sighed.
"Ella sweetie did you want peanut butter with your apples?" Kate asked.
"Yes Mommy and dis yucky." She said said pointing to the red apple peel.
Kate smiled putting Jaxon in his high chair.
"Sweetie you have to tell Daddy that you want that. He doesn't know until you tell him OK?" Kate said as she started to take the peeling off the apple and reached up in the cupboard and got out the Skippy peanut butter and put a scoop on her plate.
"Thank you Mommy." Ella said as she started to eat.
"Since when does she like peanut butter with her apples?" Seth asked as Kate was peeling Jaxon an apple and putting peanut butter on his batman plate.
"Since we were in Florida. Mox was eating it and she wanted to try it now they both love it. He started to take off the whole peal for her too he said it was a choking hazard."
"Oh." Was all Seth said.
It had been over a week or so since Kate and the kids returned to their home in Iowa. Seth left Sunday for Monday Night Raw and returned home Tuesday afternoon. Kate left Tuesday afternoon for Dynamite and returned home Thursday morning. They had talked a little bit but there was still this void between them something Kate just couldn't help. She knew it was her she was being distance partly because she was tired of hurting. Kate was letting Seth sleep in their room and she would sleep on the couch or in the guest bedroom.
"Well I guess I am gonna head to the gym for a little bit." Seth said.
"Alright." Kate said putting a few crackers on Jaxon's tray. "Seth are you alright?" She asked as he went to grab his wallet and keys.
"Yeah fine. I'll just be back later." He said kissing her cheek softy.
That afternoon Kate played with the kids outside with bubbles and let them run around in the sprinkler. She loves watching her kids play and just be happy. That is all she has ever wanted for them was to be healthy and happy. As the afternoon turned to evening Kate took the kids inside and gave them each a bath as they were now playing with their toys in the living room watching a movie while she started making dinner.
"Hey You." Kate said answering her phone as it range a few times.
"Hey to you too." Moxley said as he had just called her. "How are you doing been a few days since I've heard from you?"
"I'm good things have been crazy here. The kids had their well child check ups and just trying to get them back into a routine here at home. How are you feeling Mr. And Still AEW Champion?" Kate smiled.
"Damn good. Back isn't feeling to bad the match with Cage wasn't that bad either. Taz did throw in that towel fairly quickly." He chuckled.
"That he did." Kate said as she was keeping an eye on the spaghetti noodles.
"I can't want to see you again. You left Jacksonville pretty quickly this week. Just wanted to make sure you are alright."
"Yeah I took the first flight out I could. I just wanted to get home to the kids. How is it being back in Vegas?" Kate asked him.
"Fine. Renee stopped by to talk."
"Renee just stopped by I thought she was in New York?" Kate asked.
"She is well was. I guess she's been staying in an ai here. But good news is I get to hang with Blue for a few days. Benny that little psycho he's still with Renee."
"That's good Jon. You never know maybe if you and her talk you can work things out." Kate said.
"Nah that shipped sailed for sure. Papers filed maybe we can be friends but I just can't trust her and I don't know if I will ever love her the same. Not even sure I want the friend thing with her." He said being honest. "So you know I have to ask how are things with you and shit head?"
"Seth and I are fine. You can call him his name now ya know."
"I know but shit head it funnier. But things are fine huh? Why don't I believe you?" Moxley asked her.
"OK maybe not fine but I am hoping we get there. I am hoping tonight we can just talk with out fighting. It seems like any time we try and talk he walks away or I get pissed and I walk away."
"Do you think it's worth all that Kit honestly you deserve better than all that."
"I am hoping to find out. The kids are loving being home but did ask when they were gonna see fun Uncle Moxie again." Kate told him.
"Any time they want. I have a house and pool in Vegas. Kit just a plane ride away and the door is always open to you and those kids. I truly hope you know that."
"I do thanks." Kate smiled as she heard the door bell. "Hey Mox I gotta go I'll talk to you later."
As she hung up the phone she wiped her hands off on the towel and went to the door.
"Ella sweetie Mommy's got it you go play." Kate said as Ella was by the door to help open it.
As Kate opened the door she saw the mail man standing there.
"Oh Hi Mr. Bill what can I help you with?" Kate asked.
"HI Mrs. Rollins I have this letter that I need you to sign for." Mr. Bill said pointing to the place on the Ipad that Kate needed to sign as she signed her name. He handed her the other mail before tipping his hat and waving good bye to the kids in the window.
Kate shut the door and was looking at the letter and saw it from the Department of corrections her heart stopped and she tried to breath softly. Did she open it or should she wait for Seth. As she went back into the kitchen she put the other mail down on the table as he opened the certified letter addressed to her and Seth and began to read it.
"You have go to be kidding me." Kate growled reading the letter. That stated because Trent was a model prisoner and had done all the anger management classes required and more. They were granting him and early parole. Give the circumstances surrounding his crime he would need to move home to South Carolina and have no contact with Mr. and Mrs. Kate and Seth Rollins. Kate read several pages before putting them down to finish up dinner. She couldn't believe he was getting out and only served three years.
Later that night.
After dinner and putting the kids to bed. Seth was sitting on the couch playing his video games as Kate came in and sat beside him.
"Hey can we talk?" She asked holding the letter in his hand.
"Sure what's up?" Seth asked putting down the video game controller.
"While you were at the gym today we got this letter. I was gonna wait to open it until you go home but I just had to know what it said." She said handing him the letter and watching him read it.
"So that asshole is getting out." Seth stated breaking the silence.
"Yeah." Kate said softly taking his hand.
"All I can say is he better not break that no contact order."
"He better just stay in South Carolina and not even think about contacting and of us." Kate said looking at Seth and touching his beard. "Listen I am so sorry for all this. I know it's my fault it was my past that caught up with us and hurt you. I never thought in a million years he would hurt your or almost ruin your career. That is something that I live with every day. I can't say that I understand completely why you turned to Becky but I can say that I do see how she would see this differently that me. Since she doesn't know Trent or what truly happened. I can only hope from here on out you talk to me about it no matter how much you think it may hurt me. We need to be honest with each other for this to truly work. Can you do that Seth? Can be be totally and completely honest with me?"
"I can baby! I want that I miss you so much. I am not proud of what I did or even how I handled this whole damn thing. I was just hurt and pissed off. Then it got worse when you ran to Florida and were living with Mox. Now all I can ask is that you be honest with me too Katie. Do you still love me?"
"I do still love you Seth. Do you still love me?" She asked biting her lip.
"I love you Kate." He said touching her face and pulling her into a deep kiss. That kiss soon turned into a heated make out session on the couch. Seth stood up and took her hand, leading her to their bedroom upstairs. Seth took off his shirt and tossed it to the side as Kate stared at his body. Tracing his chest and abs with her hands. As Seth reached for her shirt she lifted her arms as he discarded her shirt as well. He pulled her a little closer to him as he kissed her again then his lips moved to her neck as he started kissing and sucking on her neck his hands roaming her body. He laid her on the bed as he quickly took off his pants and then went right for Kate's shorts and tossed them to the floor.
No words were said as they just stared into each others eyes. Seth crawled on top of her as their make out session grew heated once again. Their hands roaming each others body.
"I need you Katie!" Seth growled.
"I need you too." She whimpered out craving this intimacy she hadn't felt in a while.
Seth grabbed her legs pulling her closer to him. He entered her a little rough wrapping her legs around him.
"You good baby?" Seth asked staring into her eyes.
"All good babe." She said looking up at him touching his face.
"You feel so good." He growled as he began to move his hips.
"I've missed this." Kate moaned in pleasure.
As Seth grinned going faster and harder. Kate closed her eyes getting lost in this moment.
"Fuck baby! I am not gonna last that long. You gonna come for me baby?" Seth growled.
"Oh Yes!" Kate moaned opening her eyes as they climaxed.
He fell to the bed next to her and pulled her close to him.
"We needed that." Seth smiled playing with her hair.
"Yeah we did." She said kissing him softly.
Kate didn't know what their future held but she was truly hoping that this was the start of them rebuilding what they both let break.
