Cause when I had your boys arm locked up tight I could feel tendons and ligaments snapping and cracking. You know that feeling? I love that feeling. Brian Cage was about this close to 6 months of rehab, surgery, wearing his arm in a sling. With the good pain killers the whole nine. While I am disappointed that I didn't get that satisfying sound of Brian Cage's Bicep popping like a water balloon. You made the right call. Brian Cage next time I ain't gonna let go!" Jon Moxley said as he tossed the AEW Championship belt over his shoulder.

"And clear." The Camera man said.

"You love that feeling huh? Hearing tendons and ligaments snapping and cracking?" Kate laughed as Moxley was coming over to her with a huge smile on his face.

"Hell yeah babe! Popping like a water balloon. So I take it you got my text to meet me for a dinner date before the show?" He grinned smacking her booty.

"You know that annoys me." She giggled. "And yes I did. But not that hungry but we can sit and chat." She smiled.

"Good because I ordered dinner from that one little place we found with the kids." Moxley said with a smile.

It had been several weeks since Kate and Moxley hung out. Kate would get into town work and then fly out the next morning. Seth was doing the same flying in to do Raw and a little media if needed then would fly out the next morning. He wanted to do something nice for Kate so he surprised her with a night out. He took her to their favorite places in Chicago to spend time together. They had a true heart to heart talk some of the things talked about were hard for both of them to hear but it was a much needed conversation so they could both move forward.

"How did everything go with Renee?" Kate asked as found a nice little spot to have dinner back stage.

"Alright I guess. She said I could keep Blue." He said as he was eating his fries.

"That's great! I know how much you missed him and wanted him to be with you."

"He's really all I wanted. Told her she could take anything else she wanted. She left me a TV and then my stuff." Moxley said.

"Sorry Mox. I know that couldn't have been easy for you." Kate said looking at her friend.

"You know it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually kind of freeing having her come get her shit. She tired to make a move but I just couldn't do it."

"She tired to kiss you and you couldn't? Really?" Kate asked him.

"More like didn't want too. She cheated on me. I can't say it broke my heart more like opened my eyes. Hopefully her lawyer will approve the divorce this time then we can be done done." He said taking a sip of his drink. "But enough about me how are you and shit head?"

Kate chuckled. "I thought we agreed to call him Seth now?"

"Nah shit head sounds better." Moxley laughed.

"Things are going well. He took me to Chicago a week or so ago and we had a nice date night. We talked and I mean really talked about what we both wanted. He seemed to be speaking from the heart." Kate said sipping her drink.

"Do you really think he's stopped sleeping with Becky?" Moxley asked bluntly.

"I asked him and he said he hadn't been with her since February. I owe it to him to trust him. He said he was sorry and it was one of the biggest mistakes in his life. He said after I left and went to Florida he realized how selfish he was being. How his actions were ruining our family. He asked me to give him another chance. For our children I need to do that." Kate answered her friend honestly.

"Do you still love him?" Moxley asked. "I mean the way you did before?"

"I do love him but I can tell something has changed between us. I think it's because I will always have this mistrust when it comes to certain things. But I guess I need to have faith and trust in him." Kate said.

"Kit for your sake and for the kids I hope he doesn't fuck this up again. But just know when he does I will be there for you." He said with a little smirk.

"You are an amazing friend." She smiled taking another sip of her drink.

"So you're seriously not hungry?" He asked taking some of her fries.

"No so go ahead you can have my fries. Just haven't been that hungry the last few days." She smiled watching Moxley take her fries and eat them.

"You really need to eat but hell I ain't complaining best fries in town." Moxley winked eating them.

Later that evening as the show was coming to an end Kate had been busy in the trainers room cleaning and just doing the routine before and after match care for the AEW talent. She was putting a few things away when she heard the door open.

"Darby bro just let her check you out." Moxley said as he was helping Darby Allin into the trainers room.

"Mox I'm fine that hit wasn't that hard." Darby explained.

"Cage is like a mack truck you dude are like a bean pole. He ran your ass over." Moxley said turning his attention to Kate. "Kit can you check him out?"

"Of course." She said washing her hands then putting on some gloves. Then went over and started to examine Darby.

Moxley stepped out of the trainers room to give them more privacy. When he noticed the Young Bucks and Kenny talking as Kenny was holding a large vase of flowers.

"Awe man you shouldn't have!" Nick chuckled.

"Those aren't for you Nicky boy Omega got them for me." Matt chuckled.

"You both suck you know that. They are for neither of you they are for Kate." Kenny said with a smiled.

"Bro no why?" Nick said as he noticed Moxley coming towards him.

"Whatever Mox does to you now you deserve." Matt said. "Hey Mox hell of run in tonight. Good call with that barb wire bat."

"Had to have a little back up ya know." He chuckled as he noticed Kenny with the flowers. "What's with the flowers Omega?"

"They're for Kate." Kenny said with a smirk.

"I thought we sailed that ship? More like I told you to jump off it. I told you to leave her alone." Moxley said with a low tone growl.

"I heard you loud and clear. I didn't get these for her so back the hell off. They were delivered at the front gate and Tony along with security said I could just bring them down to her. So get those panties out of a bunch Mox!" Omega said heading towards the trainers room with Moxley close behind.

Kate finished up the examine on Darby.

"You seem to be fine. You are gonna be swore for a couple days. It's a miracle you didn't get a concussion. That was a hard hit. If you feel sick or light headed don't hesitate to get checked out alright?"

"Thanks Kate. Moxley is right about you." He smiled.

"Oh really and what does Mox say about me?" Kate blushed as she took off her gloves and washed her hands.

"That you are one in a million , sweet , kind and caring. I think he called you the snow white of the medical world." Darby smiled.

"Did he say that when he was drunk?" She teased making Darby laugh as he stood up from the table.

As he was leaving the room Kenny was coming in.

"Hey Kate got a minute?" Kenny asked.

"Sure." She said turning around seeing the large vase of flowers. "Damn Kenny who did you piss off?" She joked.

"Haha everyone has jokes. Actually these are for you." He said with a smile handing them to her.

"Awe really why?" She asked taking them from him as putting them down on the counter looking for a card.

"They aren't from me. They were delivered to the front gate and I volunteered to bring them to you." He smiled.

"That's a shame this would have gotten you that second date." She joked.

"Really? Damn it I should have taken the credit." He smiled as she laughed. "Your screwing with me aren't you?"

"Maybe a little." Kate joked as she found a letter clipped in the flowers.

"You're lucky I like you." He joked.

"I am just glad we can joke about it and no hard feelings." She said.

"None at all." He smiled as he left and Moxley came in.

"So what did the shit head do now?" Moxley asked jumping on the table making himself comfortable. "Something big if he got you those huge ass flowers."

"I don't think they are from Seth. Did you send me flowers?" Kate asked taking the letter.

"No not really my thing babe." He said watching her as she opened the letter and he noticed her face get a little pale as her smile faded.

"Kit? What's wrong? Who are they from?" He asked jumping back off the table and moving closer to her.

"Trent." She said softly trying to hold in her tears.

"Your ex?"

"Yeah." She said not looking up from the letter.

"What does he say?"

"That he's sorry and would like to make it up to me and he wants to see me." She said as she crumbled up the few page letter.

"Not gonna read the whole thing?" He asked.

"No there is nothing he can ever say to me to make what he did to me or to Seth OK. So no I am not gonna read the rest. Can you trash those." She said gesturing toward the flowers and she tossed the letter in the waste basket and walking away.

"Sure thing." Moxley said doing as she had asked. "You gonna tell Seth about this?"

"No. Wait I mean should I?" Kate said grabbing her stuff. Kate felt queasy just thinking about the remote possibility of seeing Trent.

"As much as I hate him for what he's done to you. If you were my wife I would want to know the crazy Ex is sending you shit." Moxley said.

Kate bit her lip. "Yeah I guess I should tell him."

"Kate listen to me I am always gonna have your back. I wont let anything happen to you. I promise." Moxley said as he pulled her into a hug and kiss the side of her head.
