For a moment, Laxus found that he couldn't breath, lungs refusing to work. What was this feeling in his chest? Why did his chest hurt? He hadn't been hurt lately, having been too busy with paperwork to go out on missions, so it couldn't have been that. Perhaps the reason for his fast beating heart and burning lungs were because of the Magic Barrier Particles? Maybe he wasn't really cured from it?
A small traitorous part of him said other wise. It whispered that her words were affecting him, hurting him. Laxus shook his head in denial. He was not hurt by her words. It had to be something else.
His dragon, the usual roaring beast in his head, whimpered. It claws at its cage, crying out for something, someone. Laxus was beyond confused, unable to comprehend what was going on with himself, pushing his dragon further into its cage.
"Your biggest regret, hmm?" He questioned to himself, pondering her words, the throbbing in his chests worsening with each pass he gave them. What exactly was this feeling? Maybe a visit to Porlyusica was in order.
"Yes." She answered thinking he was talking to her.
"Galen..."
Lucy frowned, hip cocking to the side and arms crossing under her bust. "What about him?" She questioned in suspicion.
The more he ran her words over in his head, the more bothered he became by them. Something about what she said sat wrong with him, he just couldn't point out what it was.
"You serious about him?" He couldn't help but to ask, question leaving his mouth before his brain could process. Why did he just ask her that? What did he care if she was serious about this Galen or not? She made it perfectly clear that she hated him, so why was he still here, talking to her, questioning her about her relationship?
And what the fuck was with this feeling in his chest? Was he having a heart attack? He was only 26 for crying out loud!
